    Sharing Dr Berg notes:
The liver doesn’t hold or store toxins-it gets rid of toxins. When we’re talking about a liver cleanse, we’re talking about getting rid of fat, inflammation, and scar tissue in the liver. These things weaken the ability of the liver to detox.
The liver is the only organ that can completely regenerate, but there is a point of limitation.
Keep in mind that you can get rid of 50 percent of the fat in the liver just by going on a low-carb diet. You don’t need to get on a low-fat diet, but a low-carb diet is crucial.
Alcohol consumption can lead to fatty liver disease. But, one of the top causes of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is fructose.
The best foods for liver detoxification:
    • Cruciferous vegetables
    • Beets
    • Blueberries
    • Organ meats
    • Grass-fed beef
    • Eggs
    • Fatty fish (salmon and sardines)
    • Seafood
    • Sauerkraut
    • Kimchi
    • Kefir
    • Pickles
The best shakes and smoothies for liver detoxification:
    1. One cup of blueberries blended with a couple of handfuls of frozen kale and some water
    2. One to two cups of whole milk kefir blended with one cup of blueberries and water (optional)
The best drink for liver detoxification:
    1. Two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with the juice of one lemon (or one blended whole lemon) and 12 ounces of water
The best supplements for liver detoxification:
    • Milk thistle ✔️
    • Choline ✔️
    • Turmeric ✔️
    • Purified bile salts✔️
    • Probiotics ✔️
    • Tocotrienols ✔️
    Thank you Dr Berg!!

I diagnosed myself with a fatty liver, after a whole year of consuming at minimum of 5 cuties/tangerines a day. After realizing the oranges were the culprit, I completely cut them out, and started keto; but briefly. The overdosing of oranges created havok on my system, so much so, most of my major organ were affected. So I had to fast, use bile salts, increase good proteins: grassfed, and organic everything. Including herbs, and juicing kale, ACV raddishes, cucumbers, swiss chard, cilantro, parsely, beets, blueberries, strawberries. Within 7 months I had lost 80 unwated pounds that had been holding on for dear life.

    • @beta3810

Why did eating oranges/tangerines caused your fatty liver?

    • @ohfifi
      @ohfifi Рік тому +4

That’s interesting as I would’ve thought citrus fruits would give you vitamin c in the morning. But it must be the natural sugar. And if you’re eating the fruit alone (without pairing it with protein or fats) it would be spiking your insulin and causing blood sugar changes throughout the day. Thus non alcoholic fatty liver disease

I believe so in some cases supplements can increase alt and ast last month I was in the hospital with 8000 alt and 2400 ast they thought I overdoses on Advil but I don't take any pills or medications. They pumped with an IV and the levels came down to about half I stopped taking onit, greens, and protein shakes. And it is slowly coming down. Every 2 weeks it's shown improvement. I would of never knew because I didn't feel it but my poop was white and the pee looked like orange juice. Still recovering. The doctor still don't know why it was so high. I did test positive for ana and may have lupus I'm going to a rheumatologist next month and a hematologist also. Very concerning when your alt and ast are high when you don't drink or smoke. Try stopping supplements that could be contaminated or not improving your health and get your blood tested frequently.

That happened to me last year too. I never drink or smoke. After the blood work, I started intermittent fasting and some level of keto. Two questions...1-What is the benefit of drinking the lemon water through a straw? 2-Can lime be used in place of lemon for a change of pace? ...and one comment...Be sure to rinse your mouth with water after drinking lemon water and/or ACV water - the acid can eat at the tooth enamel if not removed, and if present when brushing your teeth can cause etching.

For over a year now . everyday I’ve been drinking a smoothie of 2 cups org Kale ( frozen) 1 cup org Blueberries (frozen)1 cup Org Valley lactose free Kefir and 1 cup filtered water into a smoothie .I got all the fat out of my gut . I was developing a beer gut though I dont drink due to gluten intolerance . Lost 15 lbs in my stomach area that I put on . At 51 -Im 5ft 8.5 and now weigh 150lbs . Blood pressure is 117-68 and heart rate at 72 . Had to fix my belts because they were too big . I suffer from neck pain so I take tylenol for it cause I can’t take Nsaids ( too harsh on stomach ) so I wanted to cleanse my Liver and this did the trick . Saw my gastro dr recently and he was overwhelmed with my effort to change my diet . He said most patients dont adhere to changing their diets and the colonoscopy I’m to have every 2-3 years was not needed because Ive been focusing on my diet and hadn’t had any kidney stones since Im prone to them with my Keto diet -hint raw apple cider vinegar or just raw organic apple juice great for preventing kidney stones . Your health is everything and only you can control what goes into your body .

Thank you! I’m benefitting from carnivore currently (to deal with SIBO). I still do OMAD but I’ve gained a belly. I eat a lot of double cream and Brie cheese, this might be the case. I’m not too big that I cannot fit into my jeans, but I’m on the edge.
Thank you, always! Your work has been a massive help on my health journey!
Edit: Oh! I haven’t had any cravings either, of course. I am a bit stuffed more often actually.

    • @fightinggator4398
      @fightinggator4398 Рік тому +1

I had the same problem, omad will slow your metabolism if you do it everyday. You have to change things up, get your metabolism burning then skip a day of eating and you lose weight quickly

    • @lazzatbastar3497
      @lazzatbastar3497 Рік тому +1

To lose weight omad and carnivore is not enough. Calories matter. If you eat more than 1800-2500cal per day you gain weight. Diary (heavy cream and cheese especially) make you eat more. With nonstrict (not only meat, fat, water and salt) carnivore you eat more, food addiction is present etc
I have sibo(too), sifo and leaky gut/leaky brain. I do carnivore, did strict and nonstrict version. On nonstrict version for 40-50days (with eggs and diary: cheese, ice cream, heavy cream, white chocolate homemade with dried milk and cocoa butter) I lost none of extra fat weight (I had+20kg in total, including water weight of 5-6kg), only lost water weight of 3-4 kg. Then had a break for 1.5months with some carbs. Gained back all water weight.
Then I did strict carnivore version for around 4 weeks, and lost around 10kg in total. Did not have appetite, did not want to eat much with only fat, meat and bone broth and some butter/ghee.
So now I have only +10kg to lose.
But again switched to nonstrict carnivore, added only eggs and dried cow milk, that I use in making white chocolate and butter candies. Butter candies (are called fat bombs?) is when you melt butter and mix with dried cow milk powder or dried cottage cheese, add some salt and then freeze, with butter up to 50% (or more) of total weight.
With nonstrict carnivore you eat more, eat more calories, so don't lose weight in fact, even if you eat once a day. I eat twice a day now, meat+eggs+animal fat+bone broth at noon and butter candies in the mornings.
Switched to nonstrict version to keep +10kg, as preparing myself for long period dry fast (up to 12 days) in coming months, need extra weight (fat) for that.
Already did 10 days of dry fast (3 times) several years ago, could not accomplish back then my dry fast therapy due to other life problems. Hope to complete this time to cure my joints problems together with sibo, sifo, leaky gut. But curing sibo, sifo is about starving out the bad gut bugs. So it requires time, from 6 to 12-24 months. Dry fast is for my crunchy joints most of all. Have experience in water fasting (up to 35 days) but my body did not like it. Prefer not to drink water, as already have extra water(edema) in my body due to systemic inflammation, I guess.
Don't do dry fast more than 2-3 days, unless under doctor control etc.. Any wrong doings (including breaking fast wrongly etc) can lead to severe consequences including death.
What I noticed... on strict carnivore I had no problems with constipation, had regular bowel movement if I eat before noon on previous day, although constipation is my problem from childhood.
On nonstrict version I have constipation, even when cut out diary(cheese, kefir). Seems that eggs also trigger constipation for me. Only coffee with 100-150ml milk (milk and whey force bowel movement) in the mornings works as laxative for me. But coffee hurts my joints.
So either I eat deliciously (including cheese, eggs etc namely nonstrict carnivore) and have constipation and have to drink coffee with milk, OR eat strict carnivore, have no constipation (plus lose weight) and don't need to drink coffee with milk. Also get better results with sibo symptoms (bloating, brain fog, low energy etc) on strict carnivore. On nonstrict carnivore have more bloating

By eating well and detoxing, I did not experience the adverse side effects of radiation therapy like other men. FYI: I elected to take Proton therapy versus Photon therapy, less chance of damaging healthy tissue.
