What a stellar fight. This was a real 'Imagine These Guys Had Trainers' bout - Marinez has great game, but there's obviously a piece missing between his skills and his instincts, and no one ever helped him bring them together. Martin either has no tank, or absolutely no idea when to push - it's clear Marinez doesnt have shocking power, but Martin could not parse when he was supposed to go in, and he never actually figured out what was working. He just got enough shots through, and then he caught Marinez. But given the shortcomings, these guys put on a heck of a show, my goodness. One of the better fights I've seen in some time.

318-15 is an impressive combined record for his opponents. I think most of the guys he’s fought had the same style. Stand in front, flat footed, little to no head movement. Stylistically tailored for Spence to destroy. Porter was the first exception and in turned he landed almost 200 punches. Spence will always have trouble with mobile fighters.

He just got enough shots through, and then he caught Marinez. But given the shortcomings, these guys put on a heck of a show, my goodness. One of the better fights I've seen in some time.

Through the first 6 this was basically even. Martin clearly looked like the sharper more explosive fighter but Marinez showed high IQ as well as Martin to pick his shots
I see what Dominican boxers are talking about when they say a lot of times they are given short times to fight someone. Shakur tried that against Edwin hoping he was out of shape based on some photos Edwin posted and only gave him 7 weeks I think it was but Edwin was training and they fooled Shakur camp

318-15 is an impressive combined record for his opponents. I think most of the guys he’s fought had the same style. Stand in front, flat footed, little to no head movement. Stylistically tailored for Spence to destroy. Porter was the first exception and in turned he landed almost 200 punches. Spence will always have trouble with mobile fighters.
