Link to the Joe knows electronics that I got my 2N7000 are in the page above and added to my amazon store front down lower on this list.

N channel enhancement mode MOSFETs, like the 2N7000 can be used as a replacement for the NPN BJT as a switch when you don't want to depend on current from the signal.

Source being ground and Drain being high voltage has messed me up before I re-watched your video.
I had mine set up backwards apparently.
Thank you so much!
thanks for the video. the data-sheet is reversed on page 1, but is consistent with your diagram on page 8. wow
Very well explained
Maybe one day you could do a video of two MOSFETs driven by a chip
Still watching all your vids! Your channel is such a goldmine! That dang face still scares me though...trippy man lol
Ha! He's meant to look determined lol. Glad you enjoy the videos!
perfect explaining!
Can i use it with control circuit with finger print without direct touch
I haven't worked with any finger print readers, but there's got to be some way to use them to control a transistor if that is desirable.
Thank you.
Should the driver be a processor pin or an I/O pin (e.g. from a MCP23017 I/O expander) instead of a switch, would there be a need for a series resistor, say 100 ohm, between the I/O pin and the gate of the mosfet? This to avoid excessive current flow during switching moments?
Awesome job. Great IC to work with
Thanks!
Very good
i thought that was the symbol for a p channel J fet ?
JFETs usually have the arrow at the gate.
@@Electronzap Yeah, the symbol used in the schematic on the left of the printout looks wrong to me. Is that not the symbol for a PMOS depletion-mode FET?? (The Drain-to-Source line is drawn as solid instead of broken, and the arrow is facing out, instead of in).
Clean...
Thanks!
There is current flow. Current flows from drain to source called ID. I think you mean there's no current flow from gate to source or gate to drain.
