I love crimewatch. It allows my boomer parents to be aware of scams and helps protect my livelihood
oh boy.
Is your livelihood making scams????? 🤣
@@victoriaregina8344 your an estj right????? an executvie.
thank you for the formula for science, free lesson XD
p=m/V
One of my favorite crime shows
It's really sad to see this. I agree those who can easily kneel down and beg are dangerous and old folks need to be wavy of.
ugh.
You should be aware of Jarrod yuki, he touched me when i was a kid.
If only he had sticked to his "I don't understand what he talking" and then say "oi speak English if not fak off" then he would have kept his 100k.
Free science lesson by the police 😂😂
It can be chemistry or biology
@@SamuelInexperiencethis is physic
When I watch this I get the shortness of breath as if I were scammed.
Those who were being cheated normally are greedy people.
Yes.it the Same like greedy people fall for few million dollars of scam in email. If the money in mail are really meant to be yours. Just think again.
It also happened in the southern Philippines (a gold-rich area), and has been featured in a local TV show.
can the scammers.
Goldsmith guy: "THAT WAS ME" ..& shocked uncle: THEN??? 😅😅
The forest area behind the bus stop shown in the video has the Glades condo there. How fast time flies for 10 yrs...
i can't believe 2013 was 10 years ago...
Fun fact: The Investigating Officer is SUPT Ryan Koh, who is known for being the "SHOP THEFT IS A CRIME" Cardboard cutout police officer.
Isnt the io the "shop theft is a crime" cardboard cutout officer
I know he look so alike
I think its really him. He is in the credits.
It's him. But it's already more than 10 years ago.

16:02 bruh science that I will learn in sec...
Not only stupid but also greedy.
17:01 isn’t that guy the “shop theft is a crime” dude on the cardboard poster?
Yes, his name ASP Ryan Koh appears in the credits at the end of the show
Ryan Koh AKA Cardboard Policeman
that aunty bloody greedy. so money flew away from her based on her decision spurred by greed
First time offender always says I don know
Officer Stanley look very familiar 🤔.
Yeah because he’s the cardboard police man😂
Yes, he is ASP Ryan Koh, the “Shop Theft Is A Crime” cardboard standee. His name appears in the credits at the end of the show
4:39 They have a christian Last Supper figurines at the back and they believe that gold is good luck? That's strange
Why not? Many people of all religion appreciates gold. Since it's a symbol of wealth. Whats strange is her husband is from xia men and can't understand chinese but believes he has distance relatives from china lol
@@SethyTan not to be rude but I understand that gold is wealth, but most religions like Christianity doesn't believe in "Luck" like I don't hear a lot of Christians say Good luck and that.
@@brendan1470 It's true but not necessarily implied.
This police detective video is well done and interesting,
but weighing balance used,
to find out mass of gold ingots,
should be an electronic balance ,
that can read to 0.01 gram ,
and not an analog balance that can read only to 0.04 kg per division on scale,
which is 40 gram per division ,
which is simply not precise enough
Caught me off guard with the water displacement method
HUH
2013 crimewatch is bussin
i miss this style of crimewatch too! new episodes are too polished HAHA
If dig up and found treasure. Who would let their relatives know. Only gullible people will fall for it.
If the treasure worth 150 thousand dollars and in the end let your relatives knows and sell at 110 thousand. Would anyone sell and beside,Who would do lost profit things.
Ikr and they only passed them a few ingot only howcome so expensive one
@@euniceong595 it import😅 that why so expensive
If got seller ask me to pay them 110k for the gold. I will bring them to the gold shop and verified first. If it real and the gold price total is 95k. I still lost profit what😊 always test first before buy
WOW
Don't know anyone but have a friend following him all the while ..
I feel bad for the elderly couple when their money could not be recovered.

9:34 is that that one police officer that stands outside of shops to deter crime 😮

Husband from Xia Men but only speak English and cannot speak Mandarin ???
I think it meant his ancestral home is in China. Most Singaporeans are born in sg but their parents or grandparents come from various parts of China.

The standee.
Yes, his name ASP Ryan Koh appears in the credits at the end of the show
0:39 He's from China Xiamen but doesn't know Chinese? Weird...
Maybe he born in sg but still got some distant relatives from China
Having an ancestor that came from another country doesn't mean they are able to speak as such. LKY's ancestors are from China, does know chinese? No. He learnt it on his own.
He should know Malay and Tamil
Maybe Hokkien but not Mandarin.
@@officialnyiyanmoehtet there's no hokkien but ok
That China accent is well suited to work in the scam call industry 😂
How foolish can the elderly couple be, they were actually blinded by pure greed & nothing other than greed. In the end the fraudsters were jailed but the couple were left poorer by SGD110 K.....
because they "proved" that they are relatives from their hometown in China. My grandparents generation were really in touch w their siblings in China and were always happy to help them whenever needed. (But after my grandparents from my mom side after my grandpa passed on and on my dad side around 2013-2014) we stopped contacting the relatives from China, probably because we had no common topics to speak of but, if both my grandpas were still around, I think I'd have to visit my distant relatives every year during CNY
They're call the elderly of a reason hopeless
谢谢各位警察叔叔
i also want to sign on and measure gold density
Is that standee police as Stanley?
yes
why not check bedok mrt as well?
They should have brought the ingots to verify before handing over the money 😮

Doesn't speak a word of Mandarin and suddenly he has relatives from China whom he can't remember. Seriously. Lol 😆
there are a lot of english-educated old chinese singaporeans who learnt malay in school instead of mandarin. they only know english & dialect.
edit: but i agree, why the heck would you believe anyone who claims they're related to you?
oi this guy stand outside NTUC high five one right?
Why are old folks so gullible? Just because that chunk given was real gold doesn’t mean everything else is real gold. Until u test every single piece, how can u ascertain they’re all real gold & worse still pass a big sum of $ to a total stranger?
Anyone can claim that they’re whomever & donates to whichever charity. They know ‘Tan’ is the most common surname in sg & sure enough some folks fell into the trap.

I think singapire government should screen the foreigners working in singapore if there are any sim cards which they currently on hold. Scammers and loansharks are carefree using their phone numbers to cover themselves. And yhe foreigners should be called back to abswer why are they selling their nunbers to the black market. Wow, Singapore police are so brave they don’t carry weapons or wear body armour when conducting raids.
I think they have tazers. Seen them using on some videos where the person was carrying knife/attacked people.
But sg usually people won't try and fight the police and station always send more than enough police to subdue. Ive seen 6 police escort 1 guy before from mrt. 😂

How come some people so greedy and fooled for it.
