That was so interesting! Thank you Adam for letting us see how hoof trimming is done! Pedicures are always worth the time.😊
All the moo moos got a manicure 💅
I had no idea that there were cow farriers. I learn so much watching your channel. 😀
Pedicure Spa day!!
So interesting. Having a farm is lots of work!
Cow mani pedi time❤😂💅🐂
SPA DAY!!! Mani's and pedi's!!!
That is the coolest contraption!!!
Thanks for showing us how it's done!!!
The hoof GP from Scotland calls the contraption " the crush" his videos are also interesting but a bit more messy😮
I watch a Scottish channel, The Hoof GP, which is mostly about cow hoof trimming. Fun to watch a Scotsman trim hooves and now watch mini Scottish cows get their hooves trimmed. Good video.
I've been watching that channel for years! It always seems the worst is dairy cows living on concrete. lI love that machine they use.
That’s awesome I will check it out
@fluffyfeatherfarm Prepare to fall in love with Scotland. When Graeme isn't hoof trimming with one or more of his brothers-in-law, he's showing us his beautiful country.
@loveisall5520 I, too, have watched for years, and as is true of a good percentage of his viewers, I have no connection to farming. I was blessed to meet Graeme and his lovely family at an agricultural fair in California. I drove five hours each way, and it was well worth it. He was kind enough to attempt to call Cammy Wilson from The Sheep Game for me (huge fan), but Cammy didn't answer.
Me too, so good. The countryside is beautiful and the opening song.
Wow! That was fascinating! Thank you for taking your time to explain and show us these farm things that I imagine most of us would ever see if not for you♥️
Have not seen this done before. Perfect setup for an important aspect of their health and well-being. Great video.
Madonna looked at you like you're going to get it Adam you wait!!! 😂 😅 😂 😅 😂
This a great video, thank you Adam. Love watching your videos. We get to learn stuff, that would never have thought about!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
Adam is so kind with the cows, must be scary for cows , but Adam is such a good support human. ❤
Thank you for showing us this. Really great care of your stock
We just had our cows and bison trimmed. For anyone who loves hoof trimming check out the Hoof GP channel
Adam, you are so wonderful for all the animals I was wondering if you grew up on a farm or with animals? You show so much love & affection to each of them. ❤
Fantastic you guy’s take such good care of your animals.💯💯💯🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
This episode is very interesting & cool. Thank you !
So interesting. I love how you teach us all about taking care of your bsbies❤❤❤❤
Your content sharing about your farm is awesome! Thanks for sharing, I love watching 👀 ❤️
I knew cows needed their hooves trimmed and I've seen them get turned on their sides, but I had no idea this way was an option. I also had no idea that cows get warts. That's weird. This was so great. Thank you. I also noticed the warm weather. Wish we had that now.
Yeah this was from a while ago but I get behind in editing… 😂😂😂 especially the longer videos
Turning them on their side is actually much safer for them
Thanks for sharing
Thanks Adam for sharing. That was really cool to see
Gosh I just love your channel Adam. Thank you so much for sharing with those of us who only wish we could live on a farm just like this.
Awe thanks! I am so glad you enjoy it 😊
"And now she's gotta pee" ....I actually snort-laughed 😂❤🐮
Hahahaha, like… I’m in the middle of making a video… 🤦🏻♂️

Cows 🙄 Can't take 'em anywhere 🐮
Eric could do wonders with my toes too. Love you guys❤
Thank you so much. I never saw cows hoof treatment before only horses. Big difference.
Nothing like a good pedicure ❤. Thank! Very interesting!
Great video! The way you care for all of your animals is just lovely to see. 🥰
Thanks BUNCHES! Super interesting. Your cows hoofs look tremendous! Love to see the donkeys get trimmed too. Amazing difference between the wear on smaller cows hooves vs large dairy cows.
Right?! The difference is crazy!
This was way cool. You have a real narrative skill. Thanks.
So educational! Loved it!
That was smooth trimming. Good job Eric.
Thanks Adam!
You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Holy Cow, that was amazing to watch. Your farrier friend has quite the set up there. It's obvious that he has the cow's comfort and protection in mind with this inventive contraption. Like the saying goes "work smarter not harder". Thanks Adam.
It's called a crush.
This was interesting! They got their nails all prettied up! Thanks Adam!
Sometimes rocks or even a pine needle can get embedded and cause pain.
Thank you for the interesting lesson!
My pleasure!
That is an amazing machine.
Fascinating! Thank you!❤
I appreciate this explanation. I always enjoy your enthusiasm.
What Eric uses is a crush and what you described is a table crush.
Most crush have belly bands to lift while others are stationary.
I'm glad you have a trimmer.
Highland are a special breed to trim.
Yes! There is a belly band! I didn’t know there were names for them! Thanks for sharing that’s awesome
I appreciate you showing us the working side of the farm as well as the cute animal side. The family videos are great too. No matter the subject, I almost always end of laughing hysterically. My partner says he can always tell if I am watching a FFF video because of the way I laugh.💜💚
Awe thank you so much. I do wonder sometimes if you guys like the mix of content. I know it is labeled as “farm” but it’s more a lifestyle channel I guess. 🤷🏻♂️
Wow! 🥰😍🥰😘🤩
All of your feathered and fur babies look healthy, happy and beautiful thanks for sharing... Happy Monday.🐾🥰
Im so amazed that the animals know to turn their heads to get horns in the trim area. Adam....thanks for your educational piece.... loved it!!!!
I love that you make everything as low stress as possible for your creatures ♥️
Do you watch the vlogs for Hoof GP? - a Scottish vlog and he and his team just see to the hooves of cattle. Mesmerising to watch and they are so passionate about what they do.
I don’t but lots of people have suggested it!
Best Mani Pedi ever!!❤
I learn so much from you. Appreciate you for taking time to show us the workings of the farm! Wishing you and your family a blessed holiday ❤️
Anybody else also love watching HoofGP so this almost feels like a crossover? 😂
Another interesting video! I've been wondering if cattle ever need their hooves trimmed and if so, how often. I suppose that big herds that are driven from pasture to pasture for grazing (I'm thinking cattle ranchers) wear their hooves down more efficiently? Maybe that's another reason for cowboys -- to check the herd for problems? Anyway, I appreciate how well you tend to your animals and how much time and effort (and money!) you've put into learning how to best manage and nurture your farm animals. My eldest sister worked as a veterinary tech her entire career for a big and small animal clinic, so I've heard a gajillion stories! Anyway, I loved seeing the process.💗
Thank you so much! I love doing this and I love showing e way one what we do! So much fun! Thanks for watching!
❤..Love your videos..buy some WD-40 on next visit to Lowes..or Home Depot
Omg I did and I oiled it and it STILL squeaking… I think I need to do it every time we use it… 🤦🏻♂️
That was cool to watch ❤❤❤
What! No polish. 😂
Hahahah
That was interesting. I noticed he doesn't "clean out" the area between the 2 sides of the hoof.
Keep in mind, I've only ever seen this done on horses, where they scrape out the center of a hoof.
I don't know if I'm the only person curious about this..
not a criticism - just a curious question. Thanks for educating us.... ❤
Yeah different than hose feet… that’s just the area between the toes… honestly it’s always dirty because they walk around in the dirt and mud… it’s not really part of the hoof
@@fluffyfeatherfarm Thank you for responding! 71 yrs old and still learning something new every day!!
You take such great care of all your animals. I love that!
Queeny was disappointed with her mani/pedi. Eric didn’t offer her bubblegum pink nail polish. Has Queenie ever not wanted head scratches?
Hahahah she has never not wanted attention… 😂😂😂
So smooth❤
Love the information this was a great video
I think of this next time I’m having a manicure/pedicure!!
That's the coolest chute ever! This is great info. People may want to get Highlands because they're so cute, not understanding the cost and care necessary. I def can't afford it, I'll just watch yours😂 ps there's a Karen in every crowd😂
Every single one… although we have a Karen donkey and a Karen Cow and both are the sweetest animals 🥰
That's a neat contraption
I’m surprised that your weather today is so nice and warm since it’s almost mid-December. 🐂🐄🍁
I don't think this was filmed recently..if you look at the trees.
Hahaha, this was a few months back… sorry. Takes some time to edit longer videos and I get behind. I wish it was 70 and sunny today 🥰
Is it called a "crush" that they trim them in? Its called that in Scotland
Thanks! I never knew the name
I was laughing while Queenie was peeing, so apparently was Adam, while he was also trying to whistle. Try it. Doesn't work. 😂
Hahahaha
This is really cool to see. I’m wondering if this shoot system is derived from Temple Granden’s farm animal research?
Temple Grandin was a big influence on modern humane livestock handling practices! So she for sure had influence over this design.
She had no influence over this design. They were around way before she was born.
So interesting and I am a fan of Eric for being good to the cows and not flipping them over (that isn’t very nice)!
Are their hooves actually split completely in two?
Well there are two toes… so yes… two different sides of the hoof
@ I had no idea! Thank you for sharing all this information. It is an enormous commitment and I appreciate your conscientious humane and loving treatment of your fluffy and feathered and buzzing creatures! ♥️🥰🥹
Very interesting…..
We haven’t seen the cows in the winter. What’s going on in the winter?
Hi Adam, just wondering do sheep & goats need trimming as well..🤔
How bout some spa music, AND remember to wd-40 your fences. Serenity now! Carpe diem! Love these videos! I wonder if it feels good to the cow during her pedicure?
Great suggestion!
I wonder if it tickles them from the vibrations like when peoples feet are ticklish. 😂😂
I watch the hoof gp on UA-cam and he is very informative
It’s called a crush not a chute but I knew what you meant
You don’t want their pidal bone growing too long
They go into the race and cows are herd animals so they will follow each other
Does Eric do the Dutch 5 step method or a different method
The pedal bone is inside of the hoof and doesn't grow with it. It's much like the bones in your foot just because your toe nails grow your bones don't grow with them
I want Bonkies I want Bonkies!
Do cows get Laminitis?
What if one of your cows has separation anxiety and gets really nervous?
Hummmm… I guess we would give them treats and try to relax them but it doesn’t really happen. They usually clam down pretty quickly if there is ever an issue .
@wizardPiper don’t be giving Adam silly ideas, lol
Those poor cows trying to finagle their horns into the shoot!! 🤪
They figure it out but sometimes it is a challenge… some are better than others…
Hey I need you to be with me when I weight you were so positive
