Heb het filmpje vrij vaak gekeken en zo ten zien staat de bus voor de "stopstreep" om het zo maar even te zeggen. Bovendien gaat de bus pas rijden als de brandweer voor 75% is gepasseerd, er was vrijwel vrij zicht voor zowel de X5 als de 107 om de brandweer te zien en te stoppen. Overigens denk ik niet dat beide bestuurders de radio op 40 hadden staan en dus wel enigzins sirenes moeten horen, dan lijkt mij het normaal om ff te kijken waar het vandaan komt en uberhaupt kijken als je een kruising over gaat (groen of geen groen), maar dat zal wel mijn mening zijn.
Ik heb altijd geleerd om te controleren op eventueel kruisend verkeer als ik met groen de kruising oprij. Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik dat eigenlijk nooit doe. Maar wat ik wel doe is dat ik controleer op het moment dat ik groen krijg. De eerste seconden nadat een of meerdere richtingen groen heeft gekregen zijn het gevaarlijkst. In die seconden schijnen best veel ongelukken te gebeuren.

Absolutely not... The truck and bus is clearly blocking the view. Apart from the those lights are just crap. And how on earth should anyone hear a siren inside a car if there's even a bus in the way? Please educate yourself on the simplest physics instead of blaming car drivers first.
Et bée, la réactions de ces 2 conducteurs est d'une lenteur extrème, ils n'ont même pas freiné à cette très lente vitesse ! Un conducteur attentif aurait appuyer sur le frein, la voiture aurait arrêté net !
Eigenlijk zouden politie brandweer en ziekenauto over domotica moeten beschikken. Zodra ze in de buurt van stoplichten rijden dat deze dan automatiesch op rood blijven zodat ze niet gehindert worden door ander verkeer.
Die zijn ook inderdaad verboden op voorrangvoortuigen die in dienst zijn, maar in dit geval gaat het om een rijopleidingen voertuig van BON OCN Wijster waar ie nog wel op mag zitten aangezien het voertuig niet in dienst is als uitruk voortuig.
I kinda blame the bus for moving forward but I also think as a driver you should take responsibility for yourself so they should have both slowed down more so they could stop immediately if necessary.
These drivers had an excellent view of this crossing, and could've stopped well in time if they would've only bothered to look left instead of waiting for "I have a green, so I can pass and no one is going to cross my path ever."
@@pixxel8637 Hell no ! if they don't hear us it's their problem not ours I remember going 55mph on intersection with a lot of traffic because here in France people care about their environment and let freeze when they see or hear us ( unless it's Paris)
It's deliberate actually, the siren going off key with every hi-low pattern is meant to give it a little more of an attention value (at least that's the idea).
Kann passieren, ich bin kein Jurist, aber ich sage einfach die Autofahrer sind Schuld! Bei Sirene fährt man selbst bei Grün nicht und wartet erstmal, erst recht wenn die Sicht wie in diesem Fall durch den Bus eingeschränkt ist!

@@thijs275 daarom nooit "blind" een kruising oversteken, ook al staat het licht op groen. er kan altijd iemand door rood rijden of in dit geval een voorrangsvoertuig de kruising oversteken. Ik kijk altijd de kruising over, ook al heb ik groen licht. Groen licht geeft niet de garantie dat de weg vrij is.
The Intro Show er is van uit het oefen centrum Wijster hiervoor gekozen omdat ze alleen gebruikt worden in en oefencentrum en voor rijopleidingen en dat maakte hun niet uit de sirene word bij het oefencentrum ook niet gebruikt alleen voor de rijopleiding.

Ist auch keine Martinshorn, sondern eine langweilige Elektronischer Type die man zu viel in Europa hört. Pressluft sollte die Standard sein, da stimme ich mit dir ein.
Leise ist das Horn zwar nicht wirklich, aber dennoch stimme ich da zu was Pressluft angeht. Ich sage schon seit meiner Zeit bei der FF: Alles was größer ist als ein TSF braucht einfach Pressluft damit alle Verkehrsteilnehmer wissen da kommt ein größeres Fahrzeug. Ich krieg auch jedes mal nen Rappel wenn ich dieses widerliche Elektronische Pressluft höre das klingt wie, aber nicht ist.
@@zeincexxx1285 Wo du gerade die US Kollegen erwähnst: Es gab' ja mal in Erfurt ein Projekt wo ein Wail Horn in der Erprobung war. Klang in Verbindung mit Pressluft echt gut und war verdammt weit zu hören. Fand ich echt gut, aber hat sich offenbar nicht durchgesetzt. Obwohl das Bullhorn sich ja zunehmender Beliebtheit erfreut was ich auch recht gut finde.
@@JackMacLupus Das Wail war genuso scheiße zu hören. Zumal keiner dieses gehaule aufmerksamkeit geschenkt hat. Gab vor kurzen doch erst ein VU mit einem Feuerwehr Fahrzeug welches nur Wail genutzt hatte und es dann zum Unfall kam.
Ik doe dat zonder twijfel. Ze hebben harder gereden dan dat ze moesten rijden om in de afstand dat ze konden overzien tot stilstand te komen. Ze zagen beide 2 tot 4 meter. Dat is altijd meer dan de ca. 12 meter die tussen de stopstreep en de rijbaan in zit. Daarnaast hebben beide auto's de zijkant van de brandweerauto geraakt. Dat is naar wat ik ooit gehoord heb ongeveer het eerste waar ze naar kijken. Wie heeft waar geraakt?
Het is een lastig kruispunt waar te weinig mensen opletten, het is daar ook lastig te horen waar de sirenes vandaan komen, aangezien de busbaan ook vaak voor ambulances gebruikt worden en vanaf de ringweg al te horen is. Ik ga verder geen oordeel doen, gelukkig is alles langzaam gebeurd dus waarschijnlijk alleen materiële schade, ook vervelend maar wel op te lossen
ik pleit voor betere rijopleiding van buschauffeurs en alle andere weggebruikers, vind dat er te weinig aandacht is voor dit onderwerp, nooit gaan rijden als er een hulpdienstvoertuig aankomst chauffeur van de bus had het overzicht en had moeten blijven staan of eerder moeten stoppen , ..overigens pleit dit niet de chauffeur van de brandweerauto vrij..hoewel dit echt langzaam ging..was het niet langzaam genoeg maar goed dat is dan ook de opleiding. Lekkere aanname over buschauffeurs dude. Ben je überhaupt bekend met die locatie? Voor zover op dit filmpje te zien is komt de bus vanaf zijn stopstreep aanrijden en die gaat pas rijden wanneer de brandweerauto al zo ver is dat de auto's daar zelf aan moeten denken... Ik denk dat dit een hele ongelukkige samen loop van omstandigheden is waarop alles nét de verkeerde kant op valt... of de automobilisten keken net in de camera ofzo... of die fietser bij het overgangslicht moet beter leren fietsen omdat hij niet als een idioot heeft staan zwaaien 🤷♂️
In dit geval lag het echt aan beide automobilisten. Ten eerste, op het moment dat het groen wordt MOET je rekening houden met andere weggebruikers die nog net donker oranje, licht rood of donkerrood meepakken. Ten tweede, als je sirenes zo dichtbij hoort trek je niet op voordat je zeker weet dat je de voorrangsvoertuig niet zal hinderen.

These drivers were not paying attention at all, I feel they treated the green light as a "Well no one is going to cross my path now that I have a green, I mean, how stupid would you be?"-kind of situation. Even if only one of them did the second driver probably responded to the one next to him or her, reasoning with the "Oh, he or she goes, so I can go as well" argument.
Looking at that video I would put it down as an accident the 2 cars couldn’t see the fire truck because of the bus The fire truck slowed down the driver was aware of that problem as you can see he stoped immediately what indicated low speed. But as the fire truck is gone over red the fire department/ town will have to pay the damage....
Not here they don't, a Fire Engine running code has the right of way. If you hit it, you'll have to pay your own damage and the damage to the fire engine if it adhered to the laws set up for emergency vehicles running code. Seeing this fire engine was running code and no clear violation of the law for the fire engine, the car drivers will be responsible.

TunefulDJMike Wow your laws are great. I don't know how the laws are in Netherlands, but here in Germany, this would be 100% the fire engine's fault. In this case, i would even agree with that, as the engine driver was just not paying enoigh attention. When a bus is blocking your vision, you just need to slow down even more until you got clear vision.
@@user-xx9oe3mj7s Well I disagree. Maybe they couldn't hear the Fire engine coming, but they sure could hear the truck coming. And you can even see the cars still accelerating while the Fire Engine is vissible for the drivers. So in my view this was 100% the fault of both car drivers.

Examen niet gehaald, afdekongeval. Ook met prio1 de snelheid er compleet uit. En idd een baggersirene, krijg je als men denkt vanuit het belang voor portemonnee ipv wat het beste is.
I don't know how laws are in other countries outside the U.S. but here, we are required to come to a near complete stop and check for on coming vehicles before proceeding through a red light. In this case, it seems like the driver of the engine failed to do so and didn't see oncoming traffic. I see that the bus and truck we're in the way and the other drivers didn't see the fire truck, but the driver of the engine should have proceeded with caution. Also, in my opinion the hi-lo sirens don't seem to have a lot of effect, and considering that most cars now a days are pretty much sound proof in the inside, and with people blasting music, it makes it harder to hear. But what should I know? I've never been outside the U.S. 🤗
Well in the Netherlands they don't have to stop, actually they may also rush through without slowing down... but only when they see that traffic has stopped. In this case it was clearly their fault by not slowing down
@@EnjoyFirefighting that's not completely true, firetrucks, policecars and ambulances in the Netherlands have to drive slow onto an intersection and are only allowed to floor it again when it's clear that everybody has seen you (which wasn't the case here). There's a Dutch ambulance driver who uploads his rides every week (Ambuchannel, might be useful to watch) with useful tips, and he says multiple times that they are not allowed to floor it on an intersection, only when they're 100% sure everybody has seen them, and even then they won't floor it as they have to expect the unexpected.

No it's not, from most cars you are more than able to watch straight through those things due to their low floor design. These drivers did not look left, they would've definitely seen it coming if they did. They might have had to make an emergency stop, but they would've been able to stop.
Ben wel heel benieuwd, wie zal de schade dragen? De chauffeur lijkt ook aan de brancherichtlijn te hebben voldaan dus dan de tegenpartijen? Edit: Ik heb even wat gelezen en ik denk dat de automobilisten het grootste deel voor zich moeten rekenen. Dat zit zo, brandweerauto is een voorrangsvoertuig omdat het optische en geluidssignalen voert dus moeten de automobilisten voorrang geven. Automobilist staat al achter. De brandweer auto moet echter geen gevaar veroorzaken (art. 5WVW). Gezien de brandweerauto de brancherichtlijn op het eerste oog niet overschrijdt gaat het naar de automobilist toe. (overigens betekend het overschrijden van de brancherichtlijn niet perse dat het dan gevaarlijk wordt). Het was wel onoverzichtelijk dus had de brandweerauto wellicht? wat langzamer moeten aankomen rijden. Ik vermoed vanwege de onoverzichtelijkheid van de situatie dat de verzekering van de automobilisten wellicht 75% moeten betalen ipv 100%.
De bus belemmerd het zicht, dat had de chauffeur van brandweer kunnen weten. Wel netjes met gepaste snelheid de kruising over. Automobilisten blijven schuldig aan de aanrijding. Ze rijden ook nog tegen de zijkant aan. Soms ik groen net een start sein. Zonder ff de kruising te controleren het gas d'r op!
Ik heb zelf geleerd om te controleren op ander verkeer dat per ongeluk of bewust het donker'oranje', lichtrode of donkerrode verkeerslicht negeert. Je ziet dus waarom. Het is een feit dat de eerste seconde nadat je groen krijgt de meest gevaarlijke secondes zijn. In die secondes gebeuren namelijk de meeste ongevallen op kruisingen (als ik mijn rijinstructeur mag geloven).
Ik snap niet waarom het zo moeilijk is voor mensen om dit uit te vogelen en wat de reden is dat er gezeurd wordt over een drietoon sirene. Afspraak is simpel: als het voertuig optische signalen én geluidssignalen aan heeft is het een voorrangsvoertuig. Die twee auto’s konden prima zien waar de brandweerwagen vandaan kwam en hadden simpelweg moeten stoppen. Ze konden zien dat het voertuig niet van achter kwam. Godzijdank voor de WA-verzekeringsplicht... 🤦🏻♂️

Beijing Emergency Vehicle Fans here in the UK all fire engines have air horns on them but using it is at the discretion of the driver and crew, just like the use of lights and siren. If a fire crew were to use the air horn excessively at a junction and cause a driver in a car to panic and pull forward too much and crash, the fire crew would be a fault.
I feel the bus and truck drivers should've realised their large vehicles may block the view of crossing cars and waited until the intersection was clear, regardless if their direction interfered with the fire engine or not

De bus blokkeerde hun zicht en ze konden de TS waarschijnlijk ook niet horen in dit geval, dit is het grote probleem van 3 toon sirenes en is ook de reden waarom ze verboden zijn geworden.

Woutr Nick totally agree with you! But reality is not the same as theory. Many people listen to music or simular, so as an emergancy driver you must expect this. Atleast that is what i have been taught.

The first seconds that you have a green light are the most dangerous on a crossing with traffic lights. You see why. The most people see the green light and they thinking 'I have green and I go'.

Tja, wat zal ik hier van zeggen. Het zicht naar links van de 2 automobilisten werd volledig afgeschermd door de stadsbus. Groen verkeerslicht = rijden en dan kan je verrast worden door een hulpvoertuig. Waarschijnlijk ook nog de radio aan waardoor de sirene niet gehoord is. Dom.

Rijbewijs minimaal jaartje afpakken, zal ze leren hinderen van hulpdiensten. Dan heb ik het nog niet eens gehad over de schade aan de brandweerauto. Autoverzekeringen moeten ook opnemen in een clausule dat bij een ongeval met hulpdienst(en) zij de helft mogen betalen. Moet een keer afgelopen zijn, met dat er testpiloten zijn die overheidsauto’s de prak in rijden. Belastingbetalen kan vervolgens weer opdraaien voor de schade. Van waarschijlijk een domme BMW bestuurder en de hoogst waarschijnlijke vrouw die met haar telefoon bezig was in de peugeot
Buschauffeur ontneemt het zicht en had eerder mogen stoppen. De stationwagen/BMW let niet goed op, hij had, volgens mij, nog tijdig kunnen remmen. De auto ernaast ziet juist door die BMW de brandweerwagen niet en doet vrolijk mee. De chauffeur vd brandweerwagen valt weinig te verwijten.

lights mounted in the center height (of the sides) or 180° lights at the mirror would have helped.

This is why we we're told: "do not look for the stopped vehicles, look for the open lanes before you enter the intersection"
This is why we're told "You shouldn't go faster than walking speed through the intersection*" *in theory

It's deliberate actually, the siren going off key with every hi-low pattern is meant to give it a little more of an attention value (at least that's the idea).

Kann passieren, ich bin kein Jurist, aber ich sage einfach die Autofahrer sind Schuld! Bei Sirene fährt man selbst bei Grün nicht und wartet erstmal, erst recht wenn die Sicht wie in diesem Fall durch den Bus eingeschränkt ist!

@@thijs275 daarom nooit "blind" een kruising oversteken, ook al staat het licht op groen. er kan altijd iemand door rood rijden of in dit geval een voorrangsvoertuig de kruising oversteken. Ik kijk altijd de kruising over, ook al heb ik groen licht. Groen licht geeft niet de garantie dat de weg vrij is.

Ist auch keine Martinshorn, sondern eine langweilige Elektronischer Type die man zu viel in Europa hört. Pressluft sollte die Standard sein, da stimme ich mit dir ein.
Leise ist das Horn zwar nicht wirklich, aber dennoch stimme ich da zu was Pressluft angeht. Ich sage schon seit meiner Zeit bei der FF: Alles was größer ist als ein TSF braucht einfach Pressluft damit alle Verkehrsteilnehmer wissen da kommt ein größeres Fahrzeug.
Ich krieg auch jedes mal nen Rappel wenn ich dieses widerliche Elektronische Pressluft höre das klingt wie, aber nicht ist.

Klang in Verbindung mit Pressluft echt gut und war verdammt weit zu hören. Fand ich echt gut, aber hat sich offenbar nicht durchgesetzt. Obwohl das Bullhorn sich ja zunehmender Beliebtheit erfreut was ich auch recht gut finde.

Ik geef de auto de schuld
Ik doe dat zonder twijfel. Ze hebben harder gereden dan dat ze moesten rijden om in de afstand dat ze konden overzien tot stilstand te komen. Ze zagen beide 2 tot 4 meter. Dat is altijd meer dan de ca. 12 meter die tussen de stopstreep en de rijbaan in zit. Daarnaast hebben beide auto's de zijkant van de brandweerauto geraakt. Dat is naar wat ik ooit gehoord heb ongeveer het eerste waar ze naar kijken. Wie heeft waar geraakt?
Het is een lastig kruispunt waar te weinig mensen opletten, het is daar ook lastig te horen waar de sirenes vandaan komen, aangezien de busbaan ook vaak voor ambulances gebruikt worden en vanaf de ringweg al te horen is.
Ik ga verder geen oordeel doen, gelukkig is alles langzaam gebeurd dus waarschijnlijk alleen materiële schade, ook vervelend maar wel op te lossen

ik pleit voor betere rijopleiding van buschauffeurs en alle andere weggebruikers, vind dat er te weinig aandacht is voor dit onderwerp, nooit gaan rijden als er een hulpdienstvoertuig aankomst chauffeur van de bus had het overzicht en had moeten blijven staan of eerder moeten stoppen , ..overigens pleit dit niet de chauffeur van de brandweerauto vrij..hoewel dit echt langzaam ging..was het niet langzaam genoeg maar goed dat is dan ook de opleiding. @@rikkert5416 eens, in dit geval is het voor de auto's lastig te zien omdat hun zicht wordt ontnomen door de bus. geluid van de sirene ook echt beroerd..dus niet gehoord radio aan ramen dicht... valt soms echt tegen om te bepalen waar het vandaan komt als je de sirene al hoort.. gelukkig iedereen nog heel

Lekkere aanname over buschauffeurs dude. Ben je überhaupt bekend met die locatie? Voor zover op dit filmpje te zien is komt de bus vanaf zijn stopstreep aanrijden en die gaat pas rijden wanneer de brandweerauto al zo ver is dat de auto's daar zelf aan moeten denken...
Ik denk dat dit een hele ongelukkige samen loop van omstandigheden is waarop alles nét de verkeerde kant op valt... of de automobilisten keken net in de camera ofzo... of die fietser bij het overgangslicht moet beter leren fietsen omdat hij niet als een idioot heeft staan zwaaien 🤷♂️
In dit geval lag het echt aan beide automobilisten.
Ten eerste, op het moment dat het groen wordt MOET je rekening houden met andere weggebruikers die nog net donker oranje, licht rood of donkerrood meepakken.
Ten tweede, als je sirenes zo dichtbij hoort trek je niet op voordat je zeker weet dat je de voorrangsvoertuig niet zal hinderen.

Drietoon sirenes zijn slechte hoorbaar in dit soort gevallen, dat is ook de reden waarom ze verboden zijn geworden.
I‘ve seen that one coming... If you can’t see every lane on a multiple lane road being blocked by a standing car, be always prepared for approaching vehicles not seeing you.
These drivers were not paying attention at all, I feel they treated the green light as a "Well no one is going to cross my path now that I have a green, I mean, how stupid would you be?"-kind of situation. Even if only one of them did the second driver probably responded to the one next to him or her, reasoning with the "Oh, he or she goes, so I can go as well" argument.
Looking at that video I would put it down as an accident the 2 cars couldn’t see the fire truck because of the bus
The fire truck slowed down the driver was aware of that problem as you can see he stoped immediately what indicated low speed.
But as the fire truck is gone over red the fire department/ town will have to pay the damage....
Not here they don't, a Fire Engine running code has the right of way. If you hit it, you'll have to pay your own damage and the damage to the fire engine if it adhered to the laws set up for emergency vehicles running code. Seeing this fire engine was running code and no clear violation of the law for the fire engine, the car drivers will be responsible.

TunefulDJMike Wow your laws are great. I don't know how the laws are in Netherlands, but here in Germany, this would be 100% the fire engine's fault. In this case, i would even agree with that, as the engine driver was just not paying enoigh attention. When a bus is blocking your vision, you just need to slow down even more until you got clear vision.
@@user-xx9oe3mj7s Well I disagree. Maybe they couldn't hear the Fire engine coming, but they sure could hear the truck coming. And you can even see the cars still accelerating while the Fire Engine is vissible for the drivers. So in my view this was 100% the fault of both car drivers.

Daar zit een buschauffeur te slapen, hij had nooit de kruising moeten blokkeren.

Examen niet gehaald, afdekongeval. Ook met prio1 de snelheid er compleet uit. En idd een baggersirene, krijg je als men denkt vanuit het belang voor portemonnee ipv wat het beste is.

Juist! Het zicht werd deels geblokkeerd door de bus zover ik kan zien. Daarbij zie je duidelijk dat chauffeur gas bij geeft op kruising, gezakt dus.
Hij had idd nog rustiger moeten rijden. Hij komt onverwachts achter de bus vandaan en die auto's hebben gewoon groen.
I don't know how laws are in other countries outside the U.S. but here, we are required to come to a near complete stop and check for on coming vehicles before proceeding through a red light. In this case, it seems like the driver of the engine failed to do so and didn't see oncoming traffic. I see that the bus and truck we're in the way and the other drivers didn't see the fire truck, but the driver of the engine should have proceeded with caution. Also, in my opinion the hi-lo sirens don't seem to have a lot of effect, and considering that most cars now a days are pretty much sound proof in the inside, and with people blasting music, it makes it harder to hear. But what should I know? I've never been outside the U.S. 🤗

Well in the Netherlands they don't have to stop, actually they may also rush through without slowing down... but only when they see that traffic has stopped. In this case it was clearly their fault by not slowing down
@@EnjoyFirefighting that's not completely true, firetrucks, policecars and ambulances in the Netherlands have to drive slow onto an intersection and are only allowed to floor it again when it's clear that everybody has seen you (which wasn't the case here). There's a Dutch ambulance driver who uploads his rides every week (Ambuchannel, might be useful to watch) with useful tips, and he says multiple times that they are not allowed to floor it on an intersection, only when they're 100% sure everybody has seen them, and even then they won't floor it as they have to expect the unexpected.

No it's not, from most cars you are more than able to watch straight through those things due to their low floor design. These drivers did not look left, they would've definitely seen it coming if they did. They might have had to make an emergency stop, but they would've been able to stop.

Ik heb even wat gelezen en ik denk dat de automobilisten het grootste deel voor zich moeten rekenen. Dat zit zo, brandweerauto is een voorrangsvoertuig omdat het optische en geluidssignalen voert dus moeten de automobilisten voorrang geven. Automobilist staat al achter. De brandweer auto moet echter geen gevaar veroorzaken (art. 5WVW). Gezien de brandweerauto de brancherichtlijn op het eerste oog niet overschrijdt gaat het naar de automobilist toe. (overigens betekend het overschrijden van de brancherichtlijn niet perse dat het dan gevaarlijk wordt). Het was wel onoverzichtelijk dus had de brandweerauto wellicht? wat langzamer moeten aankomen rijden.
Ik vermoed vanwege de onoverzichtelijkheid van de situatie dat de verzekering van de automobilisten wellicht 75% moeten betalen ipv 100%.
De verzekering en de staat
De bus belemmerd het zicht, dat had de chauffeur van brandweer kunnen weten. Wel netjes met gepaste snelheid de kruising over. Automobilisten blijven schuldig aan de aanrijding. Ze rijden ook nog tegen de zijkant aan. Soms ik groen net een start sein. Zonder ff de kruising te controleren het gas d'r op!
Ik heb zelf geleerd om te controleren op ander verkeer dat per ongeluk of bewust het donker'oranje', lichtrode of donkerrode verkeerslicht negeert. Je ziet dus waarom. Het is een feit dat de eerste seconde nadat je groen krijgt de meest gevaarlijke secondes zijn. In die secondes gebeuren namelijk de meeste ongevallen op kruisingen (als ik mijn rijinstructeur mag geloven).

Ik snap niet waarom het zo moeilijk is voor mensen om dit uit te vogelen en wat de reden is dat er gezeurd wordt over een drietoon sirene. Afspraak is simpel: als het voertuig optische signalen én geluidssignalen aan heeft is het een voorrangsvoertuig. Die twee auto’s konden prima zien waar de brandweerwagen vandaan kwam en hadden simpelweg moeten stoppen. Ze konden zien dat het voertuig niet van achter kwam. Godzijdank voor de WA-verzekeringsplicht... 🤦🏻♂️

This is the slowest accident I have ever seen. The Car Drivers didn‘t heard the siren and didn’t see the Engine, the the Bus Driver has stoped his vehicle, but the Car drivers not.
Well when you don't hear any siren and dont see emergency lights you wouldn't slow down or stop at green lights either.
The bus driver stopped because he had a good view of the intersection, the cars didn't because the bus blocked it for them

Beijing Emergency Vehicle Fans here in the UK all fire engines have air horns on them but using it is at the discretion of the driver and crew, just like the use of lights and siren.
If a fire crew were to use the air horn excessively at a junction and cause a driver in a car to panic and pull forward too much and crash, the fire crew would be a fault.

All the fire trucks in the netherlands have this we got a siren like this to but for in the night
Normally every Dutch fire truck has a compressed air horn. But in this case, it's a Engine from a fire academy used for driving lessons. That's why it has this old siren which is even no longer allowed on emergency vehicles that are in service in the Netherlands due to the lack of audibility.

De bus blokkeerde hun zicht en ze konden de TS waarschijnlijk ook niet horen in dit geval, dit is het grote probleem van 3 toon sirenes en is ook de reden waarom ze verboden zijn geworden.

Horrible driving by the emergency vehicle. If you cant see everything, one must slow down - too much speed headed into an intersection. Clearly whos to blame.

Woutr Nick totally agree with you! But reality is not the same as theory. Many people listen to music or simular, so as an emergancy driver you must expect this. Atleast that is what i have been taught.

The first seconds that you have a green light are the most dangerous on a crossing with traffic lights. You see why. The most people see the green light and they thinking 'I have green and I go'.

Tja, wat zal ik hier van zeggen. Het zicht naar links van de 2 automobilisten werd volledig afgeschermd door de stadsbus. Groen verkeerslicht = rijden en dan kan je verrast worden door een hulpvoertuig. Waarschijnlijk ook nog de radio aan waardoor de sirene niet gehoord is. Dom.

@Tim Oosterom well you can't really blame them for not seeing an approaching fire truck with the view blocked by a building, semi and bus, and with a relatively hard to hear electronic siren; We have the same issue here and emergency crews here don't get driver training

Autoverzekeringen moeten ook opnemen in een clausule dat bij een ongeval met hulpdienst(en) zij de helft mogen betalen. Moet een keer afgelopen zijn, met dat er testpiloten zijn die overheidsauto’s de prak in rijden. Belastingbetalen kan vervolgens weer opdraaien voor de schade. Buschauffeur ontneemt het zicht en had eerder mogen stoppen. De stationwagen/BMW let niet goed op, hij had, volgens mij, nog tijdig kunnen remmen. De auto ernaast ziet juist door die BMW de brandweerwagen niet en doet vrolijk mee. De chauffeur vd brandweerwagen valt weinig te verwijten.
