To the guy who screamed before he jumped, courage is only displayed when you're scared crap less and still do what you need to do.
That was true courage right there😅
It's just hilarious to watch
And let's people know the "big tough military" guys are just as human as the rest of us.
They DO get scared.
I passed out during the blood draw to get in, and then got rejected.. It's just been 1 dream crushed after another, with the hopes of being able to survive seen as impossible, I just hope to pass away before my Dad..
@@MF-kr4hfhey homie I dunno if u joking but a parent should never bury there child. Don’t be discouraged just because you’re not suitable for something don’t keep putting yourself down about it. Life’s funny and as you get older lots of different opportunities you never dreamt of will present itself. Just stay away from drugs!
That show with the "unbreakable" vase was so sad. It would be so freaking easy to just pick a real karate guy for that demonstration.
Breaking stuff is not that difficult 🥋🙈🙈🙈😭
@@katarinatibai8396 yep and probably lost there lives for not being able to break it on front of the leader
YESS!!! He mentioned the Great Emu War!!! Respect to the Emus who lost their lives defending their ability to steal and eat peoples crops! RIP 🫡🫡🫡😂😂😂
PETA be like:
And as we know the Emu's still rule in Australia today! All Hail the King of the Emu's!!!!
Emus are badass.
@@nealgrimes4382yeah
After hearing how tough our Emus are it sounds like trying to compare Chickens to Cassowaries they are both not normal birds and can be quite scary when challenged.
For the RPG-2: strapping wood to the outside of the vehicle isn't a dumb idea (surprisingly).
The RPG explodes on contact, but if the contact is a soft wood instead of a hard steel it may actually fail to detonate, saving the vehicle.
This obviously only works for the RPGs though, as conventional rifle ammo will breeze through it, so it's a very niche solution.
Even if it does explode having it explode against the wood defeats the effectiveness of the HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank) round. These are shaped-charges design to explode on the surface of the armour - having them explode several inches away from the armour will stop the round from penetrating the armour.
If it works, it works.
The way they are making fun of this is funny, they don't know what's really the use of the wood.😂
Beggar
Yea 😂@@josefinomurcia9571
As an Aussie myself, I feel embarrassed about the Emu War. We somehow lost to birds. I haven't been more embarrassed for my country than about the Emu War.
Don't be. It's just the time-honored tradition of politicians making decisions they are unqualified to... 😅
Soldiers are no rangers and every sensible person knows that...
You're surprised birds are smarter than some people? Do you even understand how stupid people are. Have you ever heard of the Darwin Awards?
To be fair, in most armies three people taking on a force of over 20,000 enemies, killing thousands of them over multiple sorties and coming back without a single casualty would result in those soldiers being given the country's highest medal of bravery. In Australia, that's just considered to be a failure.
Birds of a feather! Fair dinkum! Mate!
Agreed. Funny how in my 30 years in this country I’ve never ever heard about this. Explains why we have emus on our currency can’t kill the effin things. Maybe they running the country secretly wouldn’t be surprised
The wood actually helped. Shaped charge warheads consist of an explosive that accelerates and liquifies metal, tipically copper at hypersonic speeds, but the speed significantly drops the more distance it has to travel. The wood detonates the weak warhead of the RPG pre-maturley at a distance from the armor, potentially saving the soldiers inside the vehicle. Shout out to Not What You Think for making a video on shaped charges and many more topics.

The heck is this doing here in this video?
Amazing!
❤🤤🤗🤗🤗thanks 😊 👍
What the heck does THAT have to do with anything relating to the great fails of the military?
19:30 The purpose of the wood is actually not to provide stopping power, but to move the explosion of the rpg round farther away from the vehicle's actual armor which gives the armor a better chance of protecting everything under it.
This concept is still used today in modern tanks in multiple countries in the form of metal grills over the armor.
Um of course it's still used today, the photos of Russia using it was from the war in Ukraine!
It's called reactive armor.
@@chefscorner7063no, it’s not reactive armor. Reactive armor explodes pushing the offensive weapons charge away thus reducing the energy that is effective against the target.
@@OpenCarryUSMC I'd disagree with you but in the end it'd just be nit picking since both reactions have the same effect.
@@chefscorner7063 I believe ERAs are also kinda effective vs. AP rounds, 'cause they reduce energy and may angle the projectile, and wood does not have such effect, it's just like a passive screen
Emu's(EM U U U-pronunciation) are not only tough and cunning, but their highly erratic movements make them nearly impossible to hit in the first place.
I'd hate people to get the wrong impression of men in the military, I spent 24 years in the army and hardly ever wore women's clothes.
RESPECT TO YOU, everyone is different, i didn't get a wrong impression ,when seeing the man in a dre, my thought was, it's a funny way to unwind and have fun life is hard enough, you got to do silly things and laugh at yourself , otherwise you loose your mind
😂😂😂 hardly ever. I bet they got smoked when they got caught
😂😂😂😂
That's also true of women in the military.
😂😂😂
Speaking as a Canadian, that one guy had it exactly right. Do not stop to confront the cobra chicken, you will inevitably embarrass yourself.
Interesting to see the US running joint exercises with the Canadian Air Force.
Thats not a ordinary goose but its a Canadian tactical goose or just a cobra chicken 😂😂
Yeah, I've been harassed by those geese during their mating and nesting season and all I'm trying to do is get my car.
More often than not, I'm not making it to the driver's seat, I'm taking the closest backseat and working my way up from there just so I can get away from those cobras faster.
I can't help but picture like these dudes in camo proned out and then in like a gruff voice he goes "release the cobra chickens" followed by a chorus of honking and screaming 😂
Canadian here: Those things are vicious, do NOT mess with them. (one time i was waiting for a friend in a store and the buggers surrounded the vehicle whilst i was reading a book. I'd rather deal with a bear)
Dude, the first thing I thought of when was that anyone who scoffs at someone running from a goose has never been in confronted with one. Those things can get effin mean.
@@Failedlegend They liked me I was in the middle of a flock of them and they welcomed me. My girlfriend at the time couldn't believe it.😂😂
Every Canadian knows the cobra chickens are not to be messed with
Wow you are gorgeous! 😍😍
0:07 bro, that shotgun went flying
I legit almost died of laughter not even 10 seconds in lmao
Yeah Lol XD
Imagine standing behind him when that happed!😬😵
The main cause of this happening is that there's lots of force being emitted inside, once shot, the force of multiple bullets coming out of the hole *Pause!* ended up pushing the Shotgun in the opposite direction.

The thing with Caligula is that when he first came to power he was actually competent and well loved by the people and his soldiers. Then he fell ill with a severe fever that nearly killed him but he recovered. It was after his recovery that he started behaving the way he is most well known for so some historians hypothesize that the illness damaged something in his brain.
Actually a lot of wealthy romans (emperors included )were brain damaged from drinking wine that was stored in led based containers (amphoras)
13:52 the Russian guy's face and actions are priceless, especially when he hits the plate 😅 freaking perfect
Poor guys who have to eat that sh*t 😢

@@petriharha6583 Nah, it's definitely potato. Been there, seen that, it's not even the worst thing you can get served.
Until I heard Be Amazed finally cover a story that happened in my home country Ghana 🇬🇭. Those armo cars are made by Katanka Automobile company it's an indigenous car manufacturing company. 😂😂
Finally now i can breathe i was wondering why would anyone do this sort of thing...
19:54 Actualy due to the nature of the RPG 2 The wood helped a lot gy making distance between The explotion and the armored wehicle. Not What You Think has a great video on this exact topic and even mentions this instance.
the wood on APCs in marawi was a good idea since it could activate the warhead before it touches the real armor
I'm a Ghanaian, and I didn't know those mech-looking suits existed until now.

14:23 the guy's super serious face during the whole bit is hilarious
20:00 - A thought about that dodgy wooden tank-armour: it WOULD be effective against magnetic mines and other similar 'infantry thrown' magnetic explosive devices.
Also, I think RPGs explode on contact, so having the warhead detonate against the 'wooden ablative armour' as opposed to the vehicle itself might dissipate a lot of the destructive force.
Or not. I don't know. Whatever.
you stand correct
15:40 "Greetings, friends!" "Wait, what? We're at war? Uh..."
I don't blame the military guys ducking from the geese. Geese are mean birds, and they have teeth inside their bills as well as on their tongues.
They are also known to break bones with their wings.
I'm pretty sure that's swans
@@ETTheFirst-hf8se geese do as well.
Didn't know that
@ETTheFirst-hf8se I watch this guy on UA-cam called GoldShaw Farm. He runs a goose, duck, chicken, and some cows type farm. He showed a close-up of the inside of a gooses mouth one time. I thought that it's crazy that they have teeth on their bills and tounges.
I think swans and geese are closer relations than geese and ducks are, though. Not a hundred percent on that, though.
Be amazed.... showing love for the channel all the way from Tanzania😊😊😊
Thank you 🙌
So you're telling Emu feathers can temporarily stop bullets? Now I've heard everything about Australia.
Am in tears 😂😂😂😂
Australia is literal Animal kingdom Plus its still hard to walk there because clouds aren't solid...
tactical emu = temu
Not so much their feathers stopping bullets but giving their body a larger outline than is actually there, meaning you can end up shooting feathers and not the actual bird. Also their skin is quite tough, their bones are very dense and they can take a lot of damage before they go down. Professional shooters often struggle to take one down with a single shot from a precision rifle which is why there's so much outrage about the frequent culls to keep their numbers under control.
@@jarrodbright5231 you from australia?
24:36 😂😂😂😂 are you really serious about they tried fighting the Neptune and won to collect seashells 😂😂 that's the most hilarious thing I ever heard of 😂😂
Thanks a lot for bringing this to us 😂😂
So, wooden planks are the PERFECT defense for shaped charge warheads like on anti-vehicle RPGs. The wood doesn't melt under the high pressure stream of liquid metal shot out of the warhead and absorbs a large amount of the blast. Wood is also very cheap, easy to install and light weight. Soldiers in WWII on both sides used to place wooden logs on their tanks to stop panzerfaust and bazooka rounds. And it worked great.
Justice for the Philippines .
It was because the rounds of the RPG was explosive or anti-personal we used wood and others to make explosion go first to not make it penetrate the weak armor of the vehicles/APC. that's why now make this go fellow Filipinos 19:21
I remember when I was in Coast Guard basic training (US), the driver of a bus of new recruits backed into a sign while parking. All us old new reruits were watching and laughing from our barracks as the CCs came running and yelling, "Stop, stop!"
haha this is great, thank you for the dude that took a running flop on that plane jump, that is self preservation override right there
Emus strategy has been proved through any era..
"When they approach, we run away"
One not mentioned: Switzerland invaded Liechtenstein three times unintended.
No laughing at the Canadian Goose video, Amaze, they are sinister, evil creatures. With horrifying fanged bills.
I don't have childhood trauma, YOU DO!
Forget about the bill, the tongue has teeth on the end of it. When I first saw that, I spent several minutes researching about geese just to make sure I wasn't photo shop.
The Battle of LA in addition to being embarrassing, caused the deaths of about half a dozen civilians from all of the rounds fired in to the air and coming back down.
Bro, Emu's can take 10+ high powered rifle rounds and still be ok? I would have NEVER guessed that. Those WW1 and WW2 rounds were mean, like the 30.06 which is way more powerful than an AK or AR round.
Thats one of the coolest things ive ever heard. Thank you, sir, you blew my mind.
Can you do a “you had one job!” video again?😂
This remind me of that time my brother passed and failed his bomb test at the same time when he started working the military, he is banned from working with explosion now.
How do you pass and fail at the same time?!?!😂
They where suppose to use C4 to move a truck but he used to much and blow it up, he moved it but...
@@CasperHoglundYou were only supossed to blow the bladdy doors off!
Actually, the wood helps a lot against RPGs. RPGs work by concentrating the blast to 1 small point, making them really strong. But the same as laster cutters, the farther it gets from the main target, the less effective it is because the light or in the case of RPGs spreads from that 1 focused point. The difference is day and night by just adding those pieces of wood.
the funny part about that goose incident is that i used to LITERALLY LIVE on fort sill
The RPG used by the Abusayap in the Philippines was contact triggered, the contract with the wood armor caused predestination leaving the steel armor of the vehicle intact, it pretty much as the Abrams explosive armor.
*Predetonation. Stoopit Calvinist Autocorrect.
be amazed, in regards with the wooden plank of the tank, it actually works in a certain way. And soldiers survived an RPG-2 attack.

To be fair to Caligula, a lot of nations of that Era participated in "slander records." It wasn't uncommon for the next leader to claim the successes of their predecessor for themselves. Egypt's Pharoahs were particularly notorious for that; literally having guys chisel the names off of walls and monuments, and replacing them with their own.
