I just want to say I lost my Grandad a few years ago, and i just found your channel, your content has brought me so much joy and comfort! Happy camping ❤❤❤
I'm truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. Did you do a lot of camping with him? I’m glad I can give you some comfort through my videos. Thanks for watching the video… HAPPY CAMPING…😁
Thanks for watching the video. I really appreciate your comments. I still have the tent, and it works great after I seam sealed and waterproofed it it has a lot of room and not to complicated to set up. Thanks again and happy camping!
Thanks for watching the video, I really appreciate it. I hope it helps you get outdoors and do some adventures yourself. Thanks again for watching the video, and HAPPY CAMPING...
Wow you’re from Michigan!!great video just got my tent from Amazon on sale 135 so I found out rolling it up and with all the pegs and everything to get in the bag it has to be a tight roll but I love the way you’re doing. It looks great very honest and very clean.
Thanks for watching the video. The 8 person Yurt tent by Ozark Trail is not a bad tent for the money. It has a ton of room in it and quite easy to set up. I was kind of bummed that it leaked, but again it was very affordable and was easily corrected by seam sealing and spraying water proofing on it. You just need to realize that you may have to waterproof it. Again, thanks for watching the video and HAPPY CAMPING…😁
I love the idea of camp pizza. Never thought about it before. I'm thinking on buying a big glamping tent or yurt. Probably from Naturehike. It is much better quality. You may consider a big tarp to install it with tent poles at the entrance of the yurt. That will give you a protected outdoor living area.
Thanks for watching the video. Yes I have made pizza in my dutch oven several times. It’s not difficult, and actually tastes real good. I wood agree, I believe the Naturehike would probably be of a better quality than Ozark Trail. Thanks again for watching the video and HAPPY CAMPING…😁
I really enjoyed your video. I’m going to buy this tent. I’m going camping for my birthday in September. It’s not gonna rain. once again, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching my video. It's not a bad tent for the price, you just need to make sure you waterproof and seam seal the tent. I will be doing a video on seam sealing the tent in the near future, so please stay tuned for that video. Again thanks for watching my video. Happy Camping...
Thanks for watching my video, I really appreciate it. I bet it was watching me make the pizza over the campfire that kept you watching the video wasn’t it. Thanks again…😁
That was a very fun video to make, the pizza in the Dutch oven tasted great and was fun to make. I just wished the tent wouldn't have leaked, but you don't know until you try it out in the rain. What is a neat thing about doing test nights like these is the fact I can give my viewers a heads-up on what to expect before they buy the product. Thanks again for watching my video, I really appreciate it.
If you'd like to cook the pizza in the dutch oven without burning the bottom of the crust it's best to use a trivet to raise it above the bottom. I use a trivet which raises it by 2 inches and it works great.
Awesome thanks for the tip and thanks for watching the video. I will have to try that the next time I make pizza over the camp fire. Thanks again and happy camping…😁
Could you put a stove jack in this? Or too flimsy? I knew you had to be in Michigan when I saw the Family Fare bag. I am in the Ludington area. Great to see another Michigander. Love the Cadillac area.
I was thinking about putting in a stove jack, and actually bought one for it. But after setting it up and camping in it I’m not sure it could handle much of a snow load. The Ludington area is a great place, and I go the state park quite a bit to hike and camp. The hiking trails are awesome! Thanks again for watching my video…😁
Hello I loved your video! It was very informative especially for a new camper like me! I just bought this tent and waterproofed it like u mentioned! We didn't get rain but we are using it for weekend camping in Scotland where I'm from. I'm planning on using a tarp over the top of the tent to give it another layer of protection from the elements as we get alot of wind and rain here even in summer. I loved that u used ur stove inside the tent. I was scared to use mine inside just because I'm new to camping and my stove uses a gas canister. I will invest in a camp cot as I have an air bed which lays on the ground but with ur useful tips I'll be a pro camper in no time! Thanks again from Edinburgh Scotland! 🏴
Thank You very much for watching my video, and welcome to the fantastic and wonderful world of camping. The tent actually did a good job for me and waterproofing it as well as putting a tarp over the top will definitely help in keeping it dryer inside. Just make sure your tarp doesn't cover the vent windows in the walls and the vents in the center of the roof so the tent can breathe to help to control condensation as much as possible. If you are going to use a stove inside make sure you set it up in the center of the tent by the entrance door where to roof is the farthest away from your heat source, that way you won't have as much of a chance of damaging the tent material, and always have a fire extinguisher close by just in case something goes wrong. Whenever I know I'm going to be cooking inside a tent I always have an extinguisher as well as a CO2 detector with me. Other than that enjoy your trip and have a great time! Again thanks for visiting my channel.
Thanks for watching my video, Juliet. Unfortunately, the tent did leak so if you decide to purchase this tent, you will need to seam seal it as well as spray waterproofing on it Thanks again, and happy camping!
Thanks for watching the video. I had a 12’x12 poly tarp under it and I tucked the exposed corners under the tent to keep water from traveling under the tent. Thanks again for watching the video. HAPPY CAMPING…😁
Thanks for watching my video. I will be doing a video on seam sealing and waterproofing the tent in the near future. Please stay tuned. Thanks again and Happy Camping!
Hi Greg, I was worried you would wake up doing the backstroke in the Ozark Trail tent! 🤣 It held up better than I expected. The dutch oven pizza looked great. I'll have to try that, just need to get a pizza stone, hopefully they come in different sizes? to fit my Lodge dutch oven. Have to measure the diameter.Nice area you were at. Remember I said I haven't been too much to the northwest but I camped at Sand lake and Peterson Bridge National Forest campgrounds up there. 👍⛺
I actually was surprised with the Ozark Trail as well. Pizza was awesome there is so much you can do with a Dutch oven. Yes trout camp is my secret camping spot. Thanks for watching my video!
Thanks for watching my video Will. That is on my list to do again once I have waterproofed the tent. I also thought about adding a stove jack to it and using it as a hot tent, thoughts? Thanks again!
@@GbacherAdventureChronicles I like the idea of adding a stove maybe turn it in a hot tent like you did to the tepee I have the same trope you have since I have watched your video I was thinking of turning my tepee in to a hot tent
@@GbacherAdventureChronicles if you could for the yurt you could try finding some stick on zippers for the top of the windows so it won’t let the heat out the tent
The tepee tent really worked great as a hot tent. The only problem I had was I did melt a couple of holes in the floor where the stove sat. But nothing a little duct tape can’t fix.
I like the zipper idea, I might look into doing that. The only concern I have converting the yurt into a hot tent would be snow load. Thanks again for watching my video
Do you have to use the guy lines or do the poles support it because I have a tiny backyard that does not have room for the guyropes and I just love backyard camping it’s so fun. Very good video
Thanks for watching my video. Yes you do need to use guy lines to hold up the side walls, but you might be able to shorten them up a bit if you set it up in a small area.
Just picked up the European version of this tent, comes in green instead. Going to put it up once its stopped raining here in Wales and Fabseal the entire thing. Nothing worse then a single skin tent leaking.
@@WTF-m6b I've not had any issues with the seems etc. I did spray Fabsil all over it when I first put it up in the garden to give it a helping hand though 😉

Great video ! I saw a video spent a whole summer living in one of those. The windows N0T sealing across the tops would be a weak spot for me. A strong point would be the 6 sidewall supports. Looks like a nice tent.
Thanks for watching my video Rudy, it is a very roomy tent and it easy to set up the leak issues can be taken care of by seam sealing all the seam. All in all it’s not a bad tent.
This is one of the honest reviews of tent I have seen on UA-cam. God bless you.
Thank you Gideon, I just want people to be aware of potential issues before they purchase a product. It’s only fair…
