Superb close-ups of a man who showed that parade bands can be things of beauty, communicating high school students’ enjoyment of their achievements to their audiences. This beautifully filmed and edited video certainly conveys that Professor Hiramatsu inspired a lot of happiness.
Love these "older" video's.....as a "host family" from a few years ago, these groups hold a special place in our hearts....Japanese Brass Bands are the best !! Was fantastic to see Proff. Hiramatsu-sensei walking right next to the group. His legacy will live forever.... Arigatou.....
Hi, now I'm wondering how many of the Roses Parades did he march in. it's his 75th Birthday too. I've been thinking that participating in numerous band events kept him young and active. That pandemic scare stole that life from him. What a man. He will be missed.
Hear Hear Paul They seem to be the most lovingly honest people you can ever meet. Their dedication is truly remarkable and it comes to the fore in their performances. In the last two decades, they have turned school marching/parade/concert bands on its head to a standard beyond belief 👏 I make know apology for my favourite being Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band and therefore I will end in my traditional way of:- The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊
Title of the song @ 11:30 ? I heard it many times but don't know the title. Oh and when they go to parade under the name of Green Band , it's usually several different schools in Japan and some Alumni also join in. The 2018 KT SHS band had 110 students along with 90 alumni / former students , to make up the 200 members that were there.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING GOOD AND INTERESTING MUSIC CONTENT. I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU IN THE NEXT VIDEO - ALWAYS WATCHING FROM VIETNAMESE ?

I wish I could have met this wonderful man. He was brilliant, kind, loving and a very sweet man.
Im actually hoping to see more like this especially the Kansai Honor Green band and the Nagoya Minami HS Green band
Kyoto Tachibana SHS Wind Marching Band???? They appear on different uniforms than their original orange and yellow
About 20 graduates of the Kyoto Tachibana High School Band participate.
This group is different from Tachibana, but Tachibana graduates teach marching steps.
This old man is the founder of Tachibana band.

That's "Takarajima", originally written by T-square, and arranged for brass band by Toshio Majima.
