Sounds amazing! I have a '69 302. I'm about to rebuild my 1406, so i figured to try new rods & jets also while it's all apart. Which all numbers did you use? Did you change out the jet springs also? Did you need to readjust the idle mixture screws afterwards?
Hey there! I settled on .070 x .037 rods, .101 primary jets, .98 secondary and the orange springs. so basically Max rich combo with lighter springs - checked rods popped low vaccumm etc - was worried would be too rich but its fine for my setup. Also running an MSD dist with black bushing(21 deg) and blue (lights)springs with 16Degs of Initial - and all mech timing (37degs) in by 2500 RPM - runing on premium gas in NL - so low chance of detonation - you touch the throttle it jumps! This works for me but of course could be different for your setup - trial and error is your friend! good luck with it!
I am a Edelbrock carb guy myself.. I've got two small block Fords with em. That ride sounds sweet 😁!!! Thanks for sharing a drive with us....
