1969 Ford F100 on 2002 Ford Lightning 5.4 Chassis Swap Is Finished! Video Part 6 of 6 V8TV
We build custom cars and trucks at the V8 Speed & Resto Shop, and this video is the finale part 6 of a 6-part series where the V8 Speed & Resto Shop Crew swapped a 1969 Ford F100 cab and bed on a 2002 Ford Lightning chassis with a supercharged 5.4 V8 to create "ThundersTruck", a restomod truck that looks like 1969 but drives like today. The entire 2002 chassis will is used, including the supercharged 5.4 liter V8, overdrive transmission, ABS brakes, and suspension from the Lightning while keeping the stock envelope of the 1969 F100 Ranger. In this installment, we paint and reassemble the chassis, do some dyno tuning, and drive the finished truck!

This needs to be promoted more. Great series, I'm a new subscriber, been a old car and truck guy forever. Now a retired Ford, Lincoln, Mercury technician. Currently have a 96 Impala SS, 68 Buick Skylark (2-door college car), 47 2-door Buick Sedanette, 50 series, and a 79 Ford F-100, still on it's way from recent eBay purchase.

To all those asking how much it cost to build, I’m a pro rod builder, for 30 plus years, depends on to many variables, I tell all my customers the same thing before I start “ you can build a really nice house a whole lot cheaper” if that doesn’t scare them off then we start talking business. I’m gonna guess from just the info on the video cost was around 100k to150k without knowing how much time was spent on the body, could be more
