    Live-wired, straight-shootin, dirty-mouth'd pelvis-pushin' juke music featuring Ty Taylor, Nalle Colt, Rick Barrio Dill and Richard Danielson
    Vintage Trouble is a sensational, soulful four-man band whose very essence screams out loud of the late 1950's to 1960's. Turned on by and tuned into the evolutionary period in music and life when there was a razor thin line between Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll, the band reconnects us all to one universal vibration. Their modern day classics transport the mind, spirit and body back to a sweaty, swinging, heart-thumping speakeasy. Their live shows feel like a sweet southern down-home revival mixed with a gritty, downtown edge. Inspirationally, Otis Redding, Chuck Berry and Ike and Tina Turner can all be felt in woven clothe that tailor-suit the band like honey to the bee. When the buzz tells you they're near, get to them...and be prepared to be moved.

    I am a VT super fan & I LOVE this track...it's testament to their talents that they can cross different genres & deliver an eclectic selection of new music for us fans. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but I prefer the sentiment "if you haven't got anything good to say, don't say anything at all"

    • @beatz04
      @beatz04 5 років тому +1

      @hammill444 In their case, it's the other way around. No one cares for an aging copy of Maroon5 that doesn't bring something new to the (pop) table. Whereas before, they had brought something new, which was their very unique sound and style. So much they made it on Letterman and opening tours for The Who etc. I have no idea why they thought it would be a good idea to pour exactly those assets down the drain. This school of thought "we gotta be more mainstream to make it" is an outdated 90's record company way of thinking, that nowadays doesn't really apply anymore (at least it doesn't have to). And they used to be the best example for that.

    Great bands evolve and grow in their songwriting, lyricism and performance. Personally speaking, I love that this song that demonstrates such evolution... a modern R&B song with deep roots in the juke joint vibe that VT specializes in. I'll admit to being a middle aged dude that has an affinity to all genres of music, regardless of when it was recorded... but for as much as I enjoy this song what makes this song special is the connection it allows me to make with my ultra modern, millennial daughter. In her words... "It's a jam."
    Rock on, boys. Stay true to your music and we'll see you next time around.

    I love this song so much! and this tune was one of the highlights on live show in Japan this spring! I remember everyone danced so hard and people asked me where can they get this song. I feel so lucky I can witness every corner of the band history in real time when my favorite band is going to do the new chapter. I became a huge fan of VT when I listened Run Like The River. And then they've never disappointed me so far because they're always awesome ARTISTS. xx

      Just a teeny note: You're mixing up your pronouns, dear. When talking about yourself, you say 'I' and 'my', not 'they' or 'their'. Oh, and it's 'beaten'. But hey, how about we get you a guitar, mic, bass, drum, whatever you like, stand you up in front of an AC/DC crowd and see how you fare? I'm sure you'd just ace it, yep? Nope? Then why not be constructive instead of being so hateful?

    Every music act needs to evolve and do different things or their works become stagnant. Granted, this may not have the same verve as "Blues Hand Me Down'" or "Run Like The River" and that's fine with me. I've heard other current bands do complete 360's to where they went to a complete other extreme (i.e. - Fitz and the Tantrums). Vintage Trouble's new single is right in the pocket.

Did you really stayed quiet in front of your screen without moving a damned shoulder?? YOU all dont feel the music, you just consume it

    i actually really enjoyed this!! as a new VT fan myself, i think the fact that it's more poppy than their old music could bring tons more new listeners who will then fall in love with the rest of the band's music like i have. plus, this is just one track off the new EP. I'm excited to see what direction they take the rest of the tracks in :)

      First one I've heard and I've already subscribed to this and the French channel! Thank you for being so positive! • @beatz04

      It won't bring "tons more new listeners" because this kind of music is run of the mill, average generic pop music which already exists 100000000x out there, while with their former sound at least they were unique and authentic (or so we thought).

      Like many on this.thread, I'm long time fan. Fell in love with the old school R&B this band did. Get it folks, they still do. This is danceable and radio friendly, and never gonna be my favourite VT track. Cut them some slack, they're a super hardworking band and need to get songs on other radio stations than Planet Rock, this will do that. Bands evolve. Even my beloved Queen evolved to a place I didn't care for, but you still got the classics played live. No difference with VT.

    WTF! Too many negative messages from people who dont understand that a band must explore new horizons, and this does not mean refuse the past!
    I like this song, and this mix of styles.
    WELL DONE, GUYS!

      Can I say I love you? Because I love you. Platonically of course :P I hate seeing so many negative comments. Why can't people be openminded and actually take a track for what it is instead of comparing everything?

      Has nothing to do with horizons, but this is another Pop song nothing more. Before they where outstanding, now they are Mainstream.

      I concur with “Mada” in that ALL bands try things to see how and where they can explore new avenues... and any of you nay-sayers are not true Troublemakers!!! Mainstream music? Haven’t heard it on XRT and certainly didn’t see VT at the Grammys, so... Keep the Faith, y’all!

    I'm a hardcore VT junkie, but I think going away from LP's (CD's) to EP's is a huge mistake for the fan base. Great for your pocketbook, but......

    Have been a huge fan since I first heard "Knock Me Out" and "Pelvis Pusher" Disappointed in this. No originality here. No flavor other than prepackaged pop. Too much of that already. Please return to your Motown roots and rock the hell out of us again!

    • @fionahamilton5505
      @fionahamilton5505 5 років тому +1

      I'm honestly surprised you can't hear the Motown influence in this song! Ty's phrasing for me is a nod to Stevie Wonder and the sound of the bass is James Jamerson all over!! Sometimes less is more. It is a change in direction but the band's fine musicianship is totally clear.

      This song was great live 2 years ago. It's lost it's edge in the studio and the extra instruments do nothing for it.

      @@gennaromorrone6360 shut up lol. Muppet. If you support a band you support em. You don't slag them off the first track you don't like. Ty said they would lose fans but obviously fickle fans

    Sorry guys, but this is nothing more than cheap mainstream. I loved you for your style, but this is sad. And this has nothing to do with not be open to anything new. I miss the dynamic, I miss the energy, I miss what your music made worth listen to.

      Brief vacation? I mean, look at Bruno Mars. Beautiful, Grenade, Lazy Song...... Treasure? Doesn't fit his usual style, but still pretty darn good. This one makes me wanna get up and dance (and I don't dance. Ever. Literally never danced in my life.)
