I just finished installing the same Planta greenhouse yesterday. Never again!!! Very subpar product!!! If you like your friends, DONT ask them to help.
Built boxes last year n love them..I love everything your doing..even your little decorations hanging..where you have the hot tub is where I want a table n tropical plants..
Perfect!!! I love your handle “to hell with etiquette.” Thank you so very much!!! This year I probably won’t have the hot tub in there. I will need more space for the plants. I do have a heater in there I’m gonna share soon. All the best to you. 🌱 Happy Growing
Thankyou so much! We're going to get one for food but, the hot tub idea is really fantastic. We just got back home (lost everything, including hometown and surrounding communities in Camp fire of 11/08/2018) last year so it's a bit necessary...greenhouse, not hot tub!.....but, it we can swing it and get a little extension for our urban model, what a bonus. My cancer came back so I'm thinkin it's a great idea for self care. thanks again, remember to breathe...... p.s. love love love hour Hope feather mobile, it's beautiful
Hello and thank you for your really nice comment. I greatly appreciate that. The hot tub is very nice and it helps my back a lot. This past summer we didn’t get it in as much as before but now the greenhouse is all ready to put the new plants 🌱 in it and we are going to set the hot tub back up for this summer. The greenhouse is amazing it has done very well. Thanks again I wish you all the best!! Happy gardening 👩🏻🌾
Oh my goodness, this is totally awesome ~ y’all think of everything! I love that you put the hot tub in there, I never would have thought of that. Your beds are very nice, I know you can’t wait to get into the dirt. We are have some really wet/cold weather today, it’s been the weirdest spring, my poor starts are so confused. How are the bee’s doing? Hope y’all have a fantastic Mother’s Day!
Thank you so much 🌹 I know Jr. has been telling us that the weather there has been weird. Here too as locals say this is the longest winter we have ever had🤷♀️ Alexis got us broke in!! Yes the soil is so expensive starting over soooo it’s been a process. The bees are doing FANTASTIC!!! Hauling in pollen and the queens are out of each box and making me soooo happy. It’s just so peaceful watching them. The hot tub has been soooo longed for since we had to pack her up and she stayed at Cody’s in a box until last week. I’m so thankful Bruce is quite the General Contractor (plumbing, heating, electrical, you name it). He comes up with everything!!! Lol 😂 I can’t wait to share more of the raised beds as I get them filled with all the seedlings. Have a wonderful day!!! Thank you always!!! ✨☀️🌱🦋🥬
This is a terrific video! So much going on! You have really gotten a lot done since y’all have moved in and the snow subsided. It is so gorgeous up there. And what a clever idea to find such a spot for the hot tub!! And you are really getting around good since that second surgery. You look great! I can’t wait to see more. I am so excited for y’all. ~Sharon
Awwww thank you dear Sharon. You made my night for sure!! Thank you. We have enjoyed the hot tub. We get in at night and it’s always “cool” here at night like in the mid 40s to mid 50s so far so when you get out it feels so good. The hot tub hasn’t affected the plants at all. I do have a fan circulating air and most days the doors are open. The squash now are three feet tall, we have had several meals off of them. The greenhouse is definitely rocking it!!! Thank you and have a wonderful blessed weekend. ~Dawn 💛🌱🥬💚
This is awesome, I'm moving my family up to the UP and am happy to find someone else who has this greenhouse we have been looking at getting. Also all of you videos are pretty cool
That is awesome Eric. Look us up and stop by we work in Marquette farmers market too. Thank you. So happy for you we love it here!!! Blessings and safe moving.
We are moving to Marqueete in five weeks & I am leaving my 1/3 acre farm here in Nashville so I was SO happy to see this video too! We are renting but once we buy, I would love to get one of these.
@@amossymindset hello well welcome! Marquette is an amazing place, we love everything about it. The PlantaGreenhouse is amazing. Today it was only a high of 17 degrees F and the sun was shining bright and inside the greenhouse was a 105 degrees Fahrenheit and all the vents were up. All the very best to you and yours.
when it rains, does water drip inside the greenhouse? we collected the same greenhouse a few days ago, it was raining today, so everything inside is wet, and it drips almost everywhere (((
Hello I am so sorry, it leaks a tiny bit in like two places but that’s it. It leaked in those two places at first more than it does now. Mine is just a year now and has settled. Did you install the two sided weatherstripping? Again I am sorry. I have had a very happy experience with mine. I have had greenhouses since 1997. My first one leaked a lot back in the day. I wish you all the best and happy growing.
I came across your video looking at their greenhouses. I love how you setup up everything! I’m in Greenville looking at retiring to Michigan. Great to hear greenhouse works well. I’ve also been a master gardener and I have a fondness for citrus which I’ve grown for years in pots in Greenville and was worried that I can’t bring them with me. Do you think with a heater it can maintain 50 or higher through the winter? The satsuma will take till 20, but the lemons need 50 or higher.
Hello Jacqueline I’m sorry for the delay I have been sick since Saturday. Doing better now. That’s so funny because we lived 70 miles from greenville Nc. Gates county. I kept my lemon tree in the house all winter. We had only got here in November 2021 and the greenhouse just got built finished like the week before this video went up. The ground was frozen for so long we couldn’t even drive a stake in the ground. Michigan is a beautiful place for sure and we are loving it here. I won’t know if the heater we bought will hold 50 degrees as we had a few days that were -16 with a wind chill of -30 so I honestly can’t tell what it will be like I will find out this winter for sure. I do plan on keeping my citrus trees in the house until they are bigger and I know exactly how it goes this winter. The propane company is moving my 250 gallon tank over to the greenhouse within the next few weeks so we can run the hotdog heater this winter. Thank you so much for watching. Best of luck for the retirement. ✨🌱
@@dawngallophow your greenhouse doing this winter, I lived in Boston zone 6b and I want a greenhouse for grow citrus, now I grow them inside the house but planing for a greenhouse with heat.
Wow nice set-up inside and out! 👏 It looks really great. Looking forward to witnessing how your season plays out and how the greenhouse works up there. What's your outside and inside greenhouse temp today? Curious because I know Northern Michigan is on the cooler side, typically, and I'm wondering how much the greenhouse heats up. Also something I've been wondering about is the shadow cast by the greenhouse. May I ask how is yours oriented, N&S or E&W? Thanks for sharing. Congrats!
Hello and thank you. I too am looking forward to how the season goes as it’s all new to me here. The temp outside is 57 a and the greenhouse temp is 89 currently and the sun is shining with overcast. One day it warmed up to around 65 before we had plants or anything inside the greenhouse and I went inside and it was 140 degrees all closed up and this was before the roof vents were in. We do have a shade cloth I bought 30% as the high tunnel and greenhouse in North Carolina I had bought 70% and I grew some amazing plants there. The shadow actually works out great because it is ran N&S and by the time the sun In completely around the shadow is on just the edge of the greenhouse and it’s high enough in the sky to cover the plants in the back with sunshine. Now idk yet how winter will be as far the shadows. We watched the sun for many months deciding on the best possible position to install the greenhouse. I truly believe it will be a successful year and I’m super excited. Thank you so much and I really appreciate your kindness and questions. Have a wonderful day.
We unfortunately bought their sungrow greenhouse and wished we hadn't. I could have built a better greenhouse using wood. The whole project was nothing but a pain. They have several ways to view the instructions and they often inflict each other, they shorted the screws, and we had to buy a sheet of polycarbonate because the top pieces were not cut big enough.
My company is installing one of these types of structures (the Terra model which is not shown on Planta’s website, go figure) now and I got to say, we won’t be doing it again. If you can get Planta to install it, do it. The directions are in Russian, the parts are not numbered the same as in the “instructions”, some parts aren’t numbered at all, and quality of parts is not great. The screws and nuts are a very soft metal and strip or snap very easily. My wife and I are considering doing a green house and this will not be an option for us. I’ve built a lot of structures, this has got to be the worst to date.
Hello Wayne I’m sorry that happened. We have built many greenhouses ourselves. My husband Bruce used to even build the high tunnels for Walmart back in the 90s. He agrees with you about the parts not matching the directions however with the construction knowledge he has it went together well and the UA-cam videos Planta has themselves. It has been an amazing unit. I have had a wonderful productive year and my last greenhouse my husband built from scratch with polycarbonate panels and wood. This structure has a tight insulated application and Bruce did have to “make some stuff work” our instructions were in English. The metal was just fine we have some strong wind gusts and it has faired well. I hope you do find the right greenhouse for you and your wife. Bruce and I are very happy with this greenhouse and I am very thankful I have it. Sending you happy growing vibes!!! Thank you for your comments.
We are assembling ours now. I can't wait to get it finished and start growing over the winter in Ohio!
That is awesome!!!! Yay!!! You can do it for sure. I do have other videos on the PlantaGreenhouse like what heater I use, etc.
Thank you
I love everything you’re doing and your place and setting are amazing!!!❤❤❤
