    Dear Dimitria,
    God bless your hands.
This is my first time cooking Fanaropita and tomorrow is Saint Phanarios, day.
I'm the patriarch of the family, and have no one to turn to except the yiayia's at church, or now the great Dimitra...😅😊.
It's in the oven cooking at the moment, I'm sure it will be sensational..... efharisto para pouli.
May God bless you and your family.
    ✝️🙏
    Mark
PS I substituted, dried fruits, for crushed wallnuts,
    Gold Coast
    Australia

I'm going to make this cake because it looks delicious, and also my husband lost his wedding ring. Maybe it will work. I told him even if we don't find it, I'm just glad I have him. The ring is just a ring. He is so sad.

Update: THE CAKE WORKS! And it works fast!!! No sooner had I put it in the oven than I heard a joyful cry from his office. He found it the third time he looked through his laundry basket. : ) Can't wait to have a celebratory piece.

Lost an eternity ring a few years back, and said to myself and to God i will never find that ring in a million years, funny thing a few months later i was doing some dusting with my dusting glove and shook it out and low and behold the ring fell out of the glove!!! This cake would have been ideal, but i do make Armenian spice cake sometimes and it had lots of flavour!!! I was very blessed to get my ring back!!! Will give your cake a try as well!!! I like simple cakes that taste amazing!!!

I feel so lost lately. Maybe I’ll make this cake. Thank you for sharing your talents and recipes succinctly. I was chatting with my 90 year old the other day, found out she loves your recipes, although hasn’t watched UA-cam. I am sending her a UA-cam link. 😉

Family absolutely love this cake. I notice you list ground walnuts in the ingredients but the cake appears to contain finely chopped walnuts, which is how I make it. Either way, it tastes great. I really like the way you present recipes with no fuss and with an economy of movement. It's frustrating to watch some presenters peel five apples for example, one at a time. It's a pleasure to try all your recipes.

Thank you!! I've made this cake using both finely ground and roughly chopped walnuts. They both work in this recipe :) I hope that you enjoy it!!

    This looks easy and good.
Question-if a restaurant only uses 2-3 pieces of phyllo dough for that appetizer, is it *really* spanakopita? It tasted good, though, and the fava beans on the side did, too.
What's the recipe that your relatives expect you to make for every get together? I had an older friend that I used to make flan for. It reached a point where her children (who are my age) expected it every holiday.

Dimitra I was thinking of making this for my Mom who is 95 The challenge is being able to freeze this in small portions I was thinking of using a mini muffin pan as she enjoys "bite size" How long would the oven time be do you think? Would I use the same oven temperature Thank you so much for your recipes♡

    • @DimitrasDishes
      @DimitrasDishes  2 роки тому +1

Yes, they would be delicious as muffins/cupcakes. I have also made this cake, cooled it and then I cut it into triangles and froze them in ziplock freezer bags... The cupcakes wold bake in 20-25 minutes (350 °F) depending on your oven :) Enjoy!
