    Good morning Joey. I’m glad I waited a short to comment. I’m partial to the 100 & 130 look, but I’ve gone of the deep end and have at least one of each. My 140 is the later square look. IH kept jumping the engine compression each model to add a HP or two. I just wish I had more ground to work and actually knew what I was doing. So much to learn as a newbie. I’ve got the tractor buying down pat! My banker and the family are showing signs of concern. ??? I’m still sorting through piles of Farmall “stuff “ trying to figure out what is what. I hope your family is well.

    An interesting video idea you could do with Rodger, how he did the 6 volt to 12 volt conversion of the 130. It's a pretty common thing many owners do and there doesn't seem to be any decent ones on UA-cam dealing with Farmall offset tractors. It would draw a lot of people to the channel just because of the specific subject as you always see questions on tractor forums pertaining to how to switch it over.

    • @Jtwes

      I think it was like that when he got it. Having said that he could do it I’m sure and yes it would make a good video.

    With such good camera work I can see the rear lift arms are floating. Looks like you need to move the bottom collar up to apply more down force. That type of top collars were actually used with a shaft, with those there is a elongated slot, so they require a little more spring pressure. I have a pair of 5 spider Lillistons that I wish that I could trade for a 4 spider set. The 4 gang type is a little easier to mount. The camera work in your videos is great with the different angles and closeups.

    Looking good, I was wondering if you were really going to can that whole patch.
    Nice thing about 100 / 130 / 140 is the rear sweeps have a separate hydraulic function so they can plow deeper while the front cultivating can be shallow on small plants.

    • @Jtwes
      @Jtwes  2 роки тому +1

      I don’t know if it’s because it doesn’t have a fast hitch but that 130 doesn’t put the same amount of down pressure on the back feet.

    • @Jtwes
      @Jtwes  2 роки тому +2

      Hey Jeff
      Yeah it’s a pretty simple reason. Roger likes his to be on the main arms . I don’t like it that much because it’s hard to see how much dirt your throwing. After the plant gets a little taller it’s not that big of a deal.

    • @Jtwes

    • @robertpayne2717

      Yes that helps, my roasting ear patches I'd fertilize with balenced fertilizer after working it out/cultivating, then watering. Mostly would have nice ears and full kernel development.
      At the house on my small garden I tried to use a little Caster oil a drop or two on the ears when they began to silk. Kept ear worms 🪱 out.
