What gauge is the headline? It looks awfully thick and very sturdy. Love these earrings. Can’t wait to make it.

Those are very pretty, thank you. How about those Xuron pliers ? I just love mine. I cannot get to my to my torch just yet so I will make knotted headpins for now. I hope you are well and safe.

Thanks! Yes, I'm good here. Hope you are too! I do love those Xurons - I don't know what I ever did without them! And great idea to use knotted headpins! 😃

@@LilyTree I feel the same way on the Xuron's..my other pliers are so jealous now..ha !! But they get into the greatest places the others cannot. So good to hear you are well. I can't wait for your next video and to go back to crazy normal..Stay safe.

@@LilyTree I just love your videos but can you tell me didn't you make a video on making a ring with hammered copper tubing with a 20 gauge wire running through uit to hold a stone ? It is driving me crazy and believe me that is a very short drive.

Is the base wire 18 or 20 ga? I can never judge from videos and I can't seem to find it noted anywhere. Thanks for the idea and tutorial!

@@medicineheartds9631 I see the two head pins at 5 cm (2"), but not their wire gauge. With 26 g weaving wire, I'd be inclined to go with 18 g.

@@deanc6539 Ahhhh I see, you are right.....lol. She's using headpins for the body. Guess that's what threw me off. I need to read a bit closer before I try to answer a question 😉. I believe you are correct about 18 gauge. Maybe even 20 gauge depending on the size of drop bead that you use. I would be fine with either for earrings. Definitely 18 gauge if I made a pendant to match. Good luck and I'm sure yours will be beautiful. 🙏😋

Sorry about that! I was so busy emphasising that you could use bought headpins, I didn't say what I did! 😄 The wire I used was 18 ga (1mm), although you could use any gauge as long as it is strong enough to keep it's shape. So 20 ga would be fine too.
