It's true that ur spending habit will change once you are married especially if have kids, cus not only expenses will increase, u need to save more for your kid(s) also. But as a single person, I think it boils down to how much you earn and save. If someone is earning 10k sgd, probably no issue to spend on grab 1k per mth but if someone who earns 2.5k that is not wise liao loh.........

I think it really depends on the hobby itself, there are really cheap hobbies like sports (basketball, jogging, etc), to mid-range spendings like gaming, till high end spendings like concerts-goers, collectibles and pets. Probably the average would be higher for certain generations (Gen Zs/millennials) where they aren't shouldering the responsibilities of taking care of a children yet (as mentioned by kelvin).
