- The SCM50 SL (passive) is designed to perform at their best in the recording studio or at home with the finest quality hi-fi equipment.
The monitors’ ability to reproduce music and speech with phenomenal accuracy, transparency and dynamics lies mainly in the SM75-150S soft dome midrange driver. However, recent modifications that include the new ATC SH25-76S tweeter and enhanced port profile have brought about further improvements to all performance parameters.

@@morespinach9832 Agreed - the floorstander versions though as the bookshelves are too soft in the bass.
@@connorduke4619 Confidence? Not really. Even the bookshelves thump much deeper than their size. Dynaudio’s stated frequency ranges are very conservative. In this format I also quite like Genelec 8351B.. which goes down to 32hz in a 3-way bookshelf format. It’s more transparent though, not like ATC and Dynaudio’s slight sound shaping.

Hi, I'm now using ATC SCM19MKIII & OCTAVE V70SE . I'm thinking that the ATC SCM50 Pro for my next upgrade (octave v70se as my preamp), any thoughts on this combo ? thanks !
Go Active version, and lose that tube jazz.
Impressed. One of the few videos with the speaker cables connected the best way... neg to the high side, pos to the low side. Make it longer though, good sound

It really comes down to personal preference there are benefits to having both an active system or using passive speakers. I recommend finding your closest ATC dealer and arranging a demo, this is something we have done for a number of customers and something we are more than happy to do for anyone.

From memory, yes it was the NAP 250 DR
Can that naim really drive that? It struggles even with 805D3....
