I’ve seen pictures of that one, salisburys front and rear? Is it still in the UK? Very rare to find a 1 ton these days.

@Black_smoke_garage that's the one Salisbury front and rear
Even on a 1 ton that was rare
      I sold it at beaulie 7 year's ago £18,500
Couple years later next owner sold at Bonham's Goodwood revival auction
Since then it's stayed with whoever bought it
Id known of it since I was 13,
      I'm 53 now

I always loved the 1 tons, in Derbyshire the Kennings group had them as their breakdown fleet. I copied the look with my 1958 series II LWB truck cab by rebuilding it on an ex army chassis, using later IIA axles (not Salisbury) with a set of FC 9.00s and fitted a late Rover 3 litre Weslake engine (using a 2.6 engine backplate and a modified 2.6 flywheel ) mated to a hybrid series II / IIA Gearbox (to give a combination of the biggest bearings and strongest (std) shafts. Topped off with an overdrive and fitting a one piece laminated windscreen with a 3 wiper set up.
I loved the result and it was much more powerful and surprisingly more economical than the Series III 6 pot I had in it before that.
Oh what it was to be young and enthusiastic?
      Great to see your motors

@@markbowler8091 sounds like a canny project, some people have mixed opinions on the 900s when fitting to a 3/4 ton, not many 3 litre 6 pots about either, great sounding engines
