@@jillheistand3220 Ive not settled on the exact number of parts yet, it depends how long each room’s video is to determine how many rooms will be combined into one video, but right now I am thinking 8 more parts (great hall/staircase, gryffindor, ravenclaw, hufflepuff, slytherin, the classrooms, and two surprises 😉) the common rooms will all be pretty short and will likely release at the same time. So I would guess the series will finish in about 5 weeks!

Yeah, the doors with the arches look insanely good. Spot on. I have to say that I’ve seen many Sims 4 Hogwarts versions on UA-cam, but yours is the most impressive.

@@Vack91 Yes I will be uploading at least 6 more videos, Actually working on the next one now! The bridge, that was just a personal preference 🙂 The viaduct is my most favorite feature, and without the grey background, it sort of disappeared into the rocks and wasn’t very visible. So especially for the gallery and youtube thumbnails, I wanted the bridge to POP! But it could very easily be deleted when a player downloads the build, if they prefer it without 🙂

No pressure at all, but I'm looking forward to the interior so much! 😍 You got the proportions and the flow just right, and I believe you in a heartbeat that this is nothing you just slap together in a week. I have passion projects like this, too, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed after working on them a few days in a row, so you need to step back and distract yourself a little, maybe even play around with a few tricks on a different build before you can come back with fresh eyes and new ideas. The important part is never to let yourself forget that this is supposed to be fun, not another stressful sprint towards a deadline. And about nice comments: I don't comment if I don't feel what I'm writing. I'm very German in that regard, and the attention to detail comes with that, too. 😉 I mean what I say. Your work is amazing. 🤩

The response to it has been pretty average, similar to my basic builds. In some cases lower haha. But what can ya do? Thats the lot of a content creator! As far as I see it, if you put builds out on a regular basis, it's only a matter of time your platform will grow, and then the extra special builds like this one will inevitably take off! I am so amazed! As a potterhead i am impressed by the amount of effort you have put in such a castle! Just a little thing though can you add a glass like dome above and covering hogwarts like a shield? Its to represent the battle of hogwarts as a harry potter fan i would be amazed if you could manage to do that.

This build has been a passion project for two years now, with at least a 1000 hours, but likely more 💀lol I kept bulldozing and redoing it, and making tweaks until I was satisfied. Redid the round towers when we got round walls. I just couldn’t bear to release it until I was 100% satisfied 😂 But it was so much fun as well!
I use Arnie's build pro mod, it unlocks roof height. But the cool thing is you don't need the mod to download the build as shown here. You just wouldn't be able to edit the roof or the walls under it since without the mod, you can't rebuild the roof to the same height. And thank you for the kind words!
Thank you so much! This is the big lot in brindleton bay but I heavily edited the surrounding landscape using the TOOL mod to make it look more like Hogwarts 🙂

Have you ever played Fable I think you'd enjoy building the guild hall or Bowerstown castle or Castle Fairfax from fable 3? I bet you'd enjoy the build.
I haven’t played it before, but I looked it up and both the castles from Fable 3 are awesome! Maybe you will see them in a video on my channel in the future 👀😉

I do have one question, is or will everything be useable to the sims? including the awesome bridge and steps down from the building? also will there be a hufflebuff dorm?😍
Thank you very much! The only thing not useable is the viaduct bridge. This is because to get the right look, it had to be built at an odd angle. But there is a functional bridge right behind it! And yes there is a hufflepuff common room 💛 the entire castle is fully furnished with all dorms, classrooms, etc. Unless you mean a video dedicated to Hufflepuff, in which case there will definitely be one coming! There are so many rooms in the castle, so the video series will take a while to finish them all 🙂

This is the most incredible build I’ve ever seen. The thought and dedication is truly incredible. You put other HP simmers to shame! I downloaded the build but the roof atop the tallest tower disappeared! I’ve dug through the comments and found your reference to the arnie roof mod (which I’ve downloaded) but I can’t seem to get the roof to ‘start’ higher up; it keeps clipping to room below. SEND HELP!! I’m very new to mods so this may be a very easy fix that I am unaware of 😂
Thank you! And wow that is so bizarre, Ive been using Arnies mod for taller roofs for ages with no problems. I have definitely never heard of the issue you are describing. Which tower is it? the astronomy tower with Ravenclaw, or Dumbledores office? If possible, could you send me pictures to my email thesimscrolls@gmail.com? Also, have you tried downloading both versions? Lastly, have you tried removing all mods in case one of them might be interfering?

Thank you! ☺️ 2 of the 3 bridges are functional. The main ones connecting each wing of the two sides work. The tiny bridge connecting the narrow towers is just for looks, and the viaduct is also for looks 🙂
Wow it looks rlyyy good 💕 I downloaded the mod you used because roofs kept disappearing when I altered some walls- they’re still disappearing so I’ve to place them again- how did you make the giant round roof float over the empty space? I can’t place the roof in the air?

If you want real inspiration for a Hogwarts build look up Alnwick castle that was used for both philosopher's stone and chamber of secrets

Amazing and probably the most satisfying build I've watched in a long time. I'm curious how long it took to build the shell alone?
Thank you very much! That means a lot to hear. This build has been a passion project for two years now, with at least a 1000 hours, but likely more 💀lol I kept bulldozing and redoing it, and making tweaks until I was satisfied. Redid the round towers when we got round walls. I just couldn’t bear to release it until I was 100% satisfied 😂 But it was so much fun as well!
1:20 how did you make the roof that tall? Anyway you did a marvellouse job!!
I use Arnie's build pro mod, it unlocks roof height. But the cool thing is you don't need the mod to download the build as shown here. You just wouldn't be able to edit the roof or the walls under it since without the mod, you can't rebuild the roof to the same height. And thank you for the kind words!

Very impressed with this, I really like how thought out it is. Cause it's not easy to get things in the right place. Think you nailed it! I do have one question, is or will everything be useable to the sims? including the awesome bridge and steps down from the building? also will there be a hufflebuff dorm?😍
Thank you very much! The only thing not useable is the viaduct bridge. This is because to get the right look, it had to be built at an odd angle. But there is a functional bridge right behind it! And yes there is a hufflepuff common room 💛 the entire castle is fully furnished with all dorms, classrooms, etc. Unless you mean a video dedicated to Hufflepuff, in which case there will definitely be one coming! There are so many rooms in the castle, so the video series will take a while to finish them all 🙂

I downloaded the build but the roof atop the tallest tower disappeared! I’ve dug through the comments and found your reference to the arnie roof mod (which I’ve downloaded) but I can’t seem to get the roof to ‘start’ higher up; it keeps clipping to room below. SEND HELP!! I’m very new to mods so this may be a very easy fix that I am unaware of 😂

Which tower is it? the astronomy tower with Ravenclaw, or Dumbledores office? If possible, could you send me pictures to my email thesimscrolls@gmail.com? Also, have you tried downloading both versions? Lastly, have you tried removing all mods in case one of them might be interfering?

Thank you! ☺️ 2 of the 3 bridges are functional. The main ones connecting each wing of the two sides work. The tiny bridge connecting the narrow towers is just for looks, and the viaduct is also for looks 🙂

I downloaded the mod you used because roofs kept disappearing when I altered some walls- they’re still disappearing so I’ve to place them again- how did you make the giant round roof float over the empty space? I can’t place the roof in the air?
