- Fired in disgrace, kids show host Randolph Smiley finds himself out on the street, while his replacement Sheldon Mopes, finds himself on the fast track to success with a new hit show as the proud purple rhino Smoochy. But things take a turn for the worst when Sheldon finds out that some of the people that he works with, and some he doesn't know he's working for, are all in it for the money. Meanwhile, Randolph is slowly turning insane with his only thoughts focusing on killing Smoochy and getting back to his life of luxury

I LOVE that he tap dances, performs some perfectly executed gymnastics, then does a chasse into a brick wall. It's silly physical humor, but it still gets me!!
Also, when Randolph reminds his hostages that he has a gun: "I've got Mister Boomy, Missy."
I loved this movie so much and Robin Williams was hilarious
He was the best villain ever.
I really love Robin Williams in this film and I'm glad to heard that he have fun making this movie, he is fantastic in this role. The moment I laught the most is when Randolph try to used the c*ck shape cookie to ruin Smoochy but when that fell he just ran out and tell the kids that's a c*ck. The image of Robin William waving a c*ck shaped cookie at Edward Norton's face alone makes me laught my a*s off, it's immature but is hilarious and this film is directed by Danny Devito so some level of goofiness is excepted.
This movie is so brilliant and smart. People who didn’t get it are morons. Major underrated classic.

This is my favorite movie of Robin Williams especially he play the villian in the movie...
This movie is hilarious and tragically panned. It kind of sucks in weird ways, but it makes up for it ten fold conceptually.
If you’re on a robin williams kick this is a 10/10. One of his best with 1 hour photo. Unsettling and psychotic to the point that you’re shocked it exists and all and it could ever work. It does mean you need sim familiarity with his career and turn of character / typecasting - perhaps? I think it works regardless.
If you’re a shitty movie “critic” it’s a 5/10 because - I don’t know - they suck at their jobs, are easily confused, and can only evaluate dramas?
