💠FAST of ASHURA💠 - TOMORROW is the 10th of Muharram (Tuesday 16th July).
It is SUNNAT to fast on this day (10th of Muharram).
💠The Prophet (pbuh) said: "For fasting the day of 'Aashooraa' (the 10th of Muharram) I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before." (Reported by Muslim)💠
☪️This means that ONE YEAR of minor sins will be forgiven Insh’Allah.
It is also recommended to fast on either the 9th or 11th of Muharram (Monday or Wednesday).

Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet ﷺ said
The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him, ordered fasting on the day of Ashura, the tenth of al-Muharram.
Al-Tirmidhi said,
“It is reported from Ibn Abbas that he said to fast on the ninth and tenth of the month and to do so differently from the Jews, and this tradition is the same as was said by Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq.”

Imam Ahmad said:
whoever wants to fast 'Ashura should fast on the ninth and the tenth, unless there is some uncertainty about the months, in which case he should fast for three days.
Ibn Sireen said that. Al-Mughni, 4/441

The Prophet ﷺ said
If one of you finishes from the last Tashahud,
Then he should seek refuge with Allah from four things:
he says:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ،
مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْر،
وَمِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ،
وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ،
وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسيحِ الدَّجَّالِ
Allaahumma ‘innee a’oothu bika,
min ‘adhaabil-qabr,
wa min ‘adhaabi Jahannam,
wa min fitnatil-Mahyaa wal Mamaat,
wa min sharri Fitnatil-Maseehid-Dajjal
O Allah, I take refuge in You,
From the punishment of the grave,
And from the torment of the Fire,
And from the trials and tribulations of life and death,
And from the evil affliction of Al-Maseeh Ad-Dajjal
(Sahih Al Bukhari )
Shaddad ibn Aws narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said;
"The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to say the following dua.
If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it,
and dies on the same day before the evening,
he will be from the people of Paradise;
And if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it,
and dies before the morning,
he will be from the people of Paradise.”
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لا إِلَهَ إِلا
أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُك
وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ
أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ
أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ
وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي
فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلا أَنْتَ
Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa
Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka,
wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu,
A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu,
abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya,
wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi
faghfirli fainnahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta
O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You.
You created me and I am Your slave,
And I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can.
I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done.
I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me,
And I confess to You all my sins.
So I entreat You to forgive my sins,
for nobody can forgive sins except You.
(Sahih Al-Bukhari )
