- E750 was the big baddie in Camp Cretaceous season 3. After months of hype and catching glimpses of it in the first few episodes of the Netflix series, we finally get the reveal of the Scorpius Rex. Was it worth the hype?

Welcome to officially my most disliked video ever! I knew it would be controversial, but.... jeesh lol
I thought fans of the Scorpius Rex would mostly skip the video, given the title. Guess not. Grab your pitchforks and get in line! But forgive me if I'll be less active in this comment section than I usually am, because there's little point in arguing about *opinions*.
i liked and enjoyed the video it was good because there needed to be a video about scorpius immediately because its one of the most wackiest hybrids but cool to me at the same time but scary pug.
e750 looks like the v-rex and the indoraptor mixed together

Your opinion was well founded and an OPINION. No one should be angry at you for that. If you want something in-universe to blame for E-750’s derpiness, blame the Scorpionfish.
E-750 = Ugly fish + Proto-indoraptor + Python (heat sensing and parthenogenic). Definitely an ugly, derpy and creepy hybrid, but it had to look like a failed experiment that even Dr. Wu couldn’t love.
I feel like E750 looks scary because it looks so unnatural. The stick like limbs and pudgy face make it look like such an abomination. Also it’s roar/screech is terrifying.
I think the eye position or size could've been better cause to me it is the thing that makes it look so weird. it kinda looks derpy. I love the body structure, it's just something about its face.

Maybe for 4-5 months E750 was just growing since the cryogenic chamber was waaay smaller than the actual Dino
I thought of that too (although considering how fast Bumpy grew......), but I still think it's odd that they flick a switch and suddenly he's *always there*. It's a plot contrivance.

I think they made this hybrid ugly because it is a failed prototype of the Indominus Rex and the only reason why Masrani could have say no to it is because it is too ugly or too dangerous ! But E750 was pretty cool with the kids ! Maybe between Season 2 and 3 he wasn't a threat just because he was alone and he was young ! The end of Season 2 may have token place a month after Tiff and Mitch died. After all, why not ? Also, maybe he was trying to escape the tunnels and he did it a week before he attacked the campers. I think he is scary because of his roars and his human weird like attitude ( like when he roars under the rain in front of the Camp )!

I don’t know what you were expecting with an animated kids show of Jurassic world, but what we got is better than anything I expected. Characters die? Actual lore? Failed hybrids? New perspectives of the island? New dinosaurs? New Characters interacting with the movie characters? All of this was a surprise since I was led to believe this would be typical, non-canon kiddie stuff like the LEGO “movies”.

A poisonous, in constant agony Indo raptor?
For a few episodes I though it was the imdoraptor.
My theory: Toss asexual reproduction out as it is a red herring. Manta received the signal and started observing the island. Scorpius didn't do much during the months in between seasons as it only hunted what it needed, but one of Manta's drones spotted it earlier. What we see is the second spotting of it. From the usb drive from the first season, Manta made their own Scorpius and put it on the island to compare Wu vs their creation. That is what kicked off the Scorpius's really disrupting the balance of the island and why they just want to kill each other. The fact the kids have another usb drive will be a big plot point season 4 (potentially).

It doesnt make any sence. The people with that thing is the people working for mills. Scorpius can reproduce and the hatchling has accelerated growth like bumpy since its been 6 months on the island. And the ending with the boat could be a scorpius hatchling or juvie. Or a monolophosaurus i think. Also the 3rd season takes place at the beginning of fallen kingdom 6 months before wu realized he needs blues DNA to make indoraptor.

Maybe at the 4 months between season 2 and 3, E750 ice was still melting and he still had to get out of the lab soooooo... yeah, they had plenty of time to relax. And in my opinion, E750’s derpy and ugly face just helps at making it terrifying

I think what makes it terrifying is how awkward and unnatural it is. Even the way it moves (kinda twitchy) just sends a chill down my spine. But I agree it was scarier in the dark.

The Scorpius Rex is actually one of my favorite hybrids when I first saw it it's just so different from all the other hybrids

I really like the Scorpius Rex looks wise as it is clearly stated that it was a "Failed Hybrid" and that it was "Unstable" so it obviously not gonna look perfect.
I also like the "Asexual Reproduction" aspect as we don't know when it gave birth to the second one so it could of done it days after it escaped or it could of done it months after.
I also like the fact that they hate each other as it shows that its so solitary that it will literally kill its kind which shows its dominate state.
One thing I found weird is that it killed an adult Brachiosaurus easily or that it made a herd of adult Brachiosaurus literally yeet to the next galaxy.
I think that was for the venom, similar to how Komodo Dragons can take down Bovines

I believe that the Scorpius Rex is absolutely horrifying because it moves so human like, it’s meant to look that way because it is a failed Indominus, and it’s definitely meant to look like a Frankenstein creation.
I feel like 1 of the many things they should have done more to explain the E750's activities during those months it was on the loose, like tie it into the extinction of some species like the Edmontosaurs and Metriacanthosaurs, and maybe have Darius make a note of an unexplained decline or absence of those species.
Great idea. Which could’ve been useful also in explaining why they suddenly couldn’t escape it anymore after they first learn about it- because it takes down the large catchable prey and then moves on to other parts of the island when it needs a new food source, getting closer to the kids every time it moves territories.
The metriacanthosaurus isn’t not extinct, he just never appeared in the series
Maybe the S Rex was trying to get out of the tunnels and only escaped a week before the story in season 3 started

Perhaps but as we saw on the chalkboard the kids attempted that. They would have noticed E750 in the tunnels or at least the strange behaviour of animals in the tunnels
Remember in episode 4 I believe maybe episode 5 Dr Wu says, “Mr Masrani says, ‘it’s too ugly to show’” so it was intentional and I think it looks good and it’s really scary a lot

I assume the concept artists used the human-dino hybrids and used the indoraptor coloring and arms and legs.
I actually like the design cause it makes it look like the bridge into the Indo series of hybrids(indominous and indoraptor)
However theres at least 3 animals used on it based on the looks and what we know
Scorpion fish, T-rex as the base gene likely, and kangaroo or another mammal that can jump.
Additional possible Animals used: Bats(when we first see it climbing a tree it seemed similar to a bat climbing on a wall) some sort of animal with thermo vision

I was seriously confused with the entire thing right after they introduced the other replicate of E750, still though this seasons probably my favorite cause of all the tense moments
Someone else posted a theory in the comments section: Rexy killed the mother Scorpius and the two we see are that mother's children. But then, this might not be true given that Rexy roams only around her territory near the Visitors' Centre which for all we know is at the opposite end of the territory where the Scorpius wreaked havoc.
When I finally got a chance to see E750 in action, i think it's very terrifying. The way it can use its quills to inflict venom to the other dinosaurs and even Sammy, it's threatening, the way it can climb trees and stalking its pray, and how it sees and senses its pray. Although I think I can agree with your opinion here in some notes.
The one thing that kept bothering me with E750 was it's size... like there's the scene where it's next to a really big tree just to show how massive it is and it absolutely towers over Darius and Ben but then you got the scene where it's able to fit in a tiny ass kitchen so it's like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@doragonzx that doesn't make a lot of sense, because as soon as they discover it exists, it shows up at their tree house. It's not shown to be tracking them there, he's just there all of a sudden. So if that's outside of his territory, that introduces a whole other plothole.

It's a weird blend of scary and derpy that we call cursed
I hope you read this, none of these points completely negates or counter act your points, but definitely make the problems more bearable:
- We can suppose that the Scorpius Rex didn't thaw out of the crio-sleep at full charge. Maybe it took it's time to get it's strength and speed back, due to so much time of complete inactivity.
- We an also suppose that it laid an egg in the first month or so of it's comeback. Then MAYBE it had some kind of nesting behavior, protecting the egg (and giving the kids more free time to roam the island).
- Since this creature behaves mostly wrong due to "bad cloning", the offspring just became competition for the parent.
- It's a large island, maybe the Scorpius was too concentrated on his egg/nest hide spot to go check out the loud helicopter crash, or even hear it.
- You talk as if every other protagonist (besides the Kirby kid you really mentioned) in this franchise didn't have a ridiculous plot armor at some point. At this point, "dumb luck" is something I come to expect from protagonists. Every scene ever in which the raptors didn't just leap at a protagonists in the first seconds possible is a stretch.
- It's also plausible that both Scorpiuses first went after other dinos in the opposite side of the island, because apparently the kids were completely ignoring some areas of the (again, quite large) island before the events of this season.
- You say that knowing how a creature behaves doesn't mean you are immune to it's danger. But its sure helps staying the crap away from their territory and "routes". I can see the kids taking all sorts of detours and longer paths just to avoid the risk of meeting the Barry duo again.
- You focused too much on the completely subjective opinion that the Scorpius looks dumb/derpy. Yeah, kinda? So what? It's still uglier than derpy. We can throw another subjective opinion on the table and state that it's even better that it looks so unnatural, because it's supposed to be absolutely unnatural. Actually, if you wanna get really nerdy, that's a point very well made in the original novels: some dinos did in fact look derpy and dumb. Ok, in those cases, those were herbivores. But still, animals can look non-threatening and still be dangerous in real life.
EXACTLY. Most off the criticisms in this video were downright dumb. No hate though I think the other videos from this channel are great.

The time jump explains how the Scorpius Rex grew and learned how to hunt. It was adapting to its world. Most likely that time explains how the s rex was able to duplicate into another. One was older than the other by a lot obviously.
The reason why it looks like that is because it’s literally the first hybrid ever. It won’t be the most gorgeous thing. They made it look derpy to emphasize more on “first ever hybrid” if you look at all three hybrids you can see they actually progress using the s Rex as a base as a “let’s do better”.
It’s “hypnotized” by fire because of all it sees are heat signatures. It’s probably calmed by it but the most likely theory is that the fire isn’t a “moving” object. Like when you have a tiger don’t turn and run kind of Situation.
I also think that roar was from the other sRex which leads to them being drawn together to eventually the same point of the island.
You also talked about how it’s always where they are. Well there’s two of them first. Next, the kids are traveling across a certain point of the island. This part of the island is where most of the herbivores have set up their territorys. The two s Rexs were just hunting anything that moved. This trait seemed to pass down to the irex and the iraptor(with the iraptor having a command set to attack after a sound at times)

2) it wasn’t how it was everywhere. It was how it didn’t show up for 5 months then just suddenly they both became active as hell and attacked each other constantly. It makes no sense. Without the time jump the E750 would be a lot more plausible but it makes no sense
There are some points where I don't agree with you:
- Blue fights the hybrids because as we know during the fourth episode Darius, Kenji and Yasmina discover that blue lives in the Visitor Center, so she's just fighting because it's her territory.
- E750 is a failure, it's normal that those things looks derpy it's because Dr Wu have failed during the creation.
- Actually E750 have a thermal vision (Actually I don't know if it's the correct name), so it's normal if it's distracted by the fire, just because it's the hottest thing in his field of view.
1. True *but* she could have bitten Darius' hand off before trying to defend her home. The main point I was making, in a jokey manner, was that it doesn't make much sense that she doesn't attack the kids
2. Having a creation fail is no excuse for it to look derpy. Have you seen some early concept art for the indoraptor? That thing looked absolutely disfigured and mismade in some earlier versions, but never derpy.
3. Being distracted by the fire due to it's thermal vision is ok. Being hypnotized by it to the extent that it is, isn't realistic imo. Like: have him look to the side for a sex, sure, but not just stare at it until the flame goes out.

@@Wildanimalrescue yeah cus blue is no ordinary raptor, she was raised and trained by a human, and while she’s wild she wouldn’t be as keen to attack a human then a raptor from the og jp movie. Also there’s a point where she might have remembered they saved her from compies, so yeah that’s why. Also the scorpius rex is far more threatening then some kids, so maybe blue has priorities
i loved it, it was supposed to be a failed hybrid, supposed to not look nice as they said in the season, so for me i really liked it
They should have made E750 completely nocturnal and so limited its use to creepy, atmospheric night shots; I thought those moments were definitely the best utilization of it especially when you don't see details but can certainly make out its unnatural-looking gangly limbs which made everything so much more tense.

I agree with your problems but speaking honestly, it didn't bother me because Scorpius Rex is by far the best hybrid we've gotten story wise. It being a rabid animal trying to kill everything it sees, ESPECIALLY its twin, instead of being overly smart or stalking everybody for no reason (I love the Indoraptor and its scenes but they still haven't explained it's Maisie obesssion) felt way better then Indominus 3 like I thought. It feels like a real animal in a way we haven't seen since the best moments of Indominus in 2015.
Also, it is a kids show but Jesus, there's some horrifying shit here. Finding the carcasses in the trees was fantastic!

I can explain it’s strange obsession with Maisie. It’s a predator it prolly wanted to kill, and also she is a child, so maybe it targeted her thinking she was an easy kill. Idk why it chose to extend a claw before attacking her. But the indo is prolly just not right in the head like most failed hybrids and was insane enough to be able to sense her fear, and was enjoying it. Why, becuase it’s crazy. That’s what I think anyway
@@ToSP. I was gonna say that maybe Indoraptor sensed that Maisie was also a clone. Maybe it could tell they weren’t so different origin wise? Also, according to Owen’s research some Raptors, like Blue, felt sympathetic toward hurt or vulnerable animals. Perhaps the Indoraptor was just trying to comfort Maisie since there was no running or screaming happening in that scene. Anyways, just a theory of mine.

Plot armor exists
I still think the Scorpius Rex is scary. Even though it’s derpy looking, that scene when e750 stood on his back legs and screeched in the air gave me chills.
I think this was 110% worth it I love it in a wierd way. I mean I think how it kills and moves is so cool, and I think the way it yells is cool in a wierd type of way and that it can make many of its self. Also I like the design and the stingers. 110% worth the hype and wait
“But whatever it’s a kids show” is my favourite phrase now.
I'm not sure I would call it scary, but neither derpy. Concerning or perturbing would by my choice to described. I loved the exaggerated Skorpiovenator-like short snout, which now that I typed that, do we now the base dinosaur for the Scorpius Rex? That sounds too close in name (and size) to be a coincidence, but I digress. Seeing it I couldn't get out of my head what Trey the Explainer said in his video about creating dino-chickens, that it wouldn't be ethical to subject a living being to body modifications that would for certain negatively impact its quality of life. That was what made the biggest impression on me, everything about it said "there is something wrong, terribly wrong, with this animal". The way it looked, it moved and it sounded, everything pointed to an animal in an uncomfortable, perhaps even painful body. Funnily enough, I think the comparison with a pug is spot on, but because it suffers from the same thing: a body plan altered by humans to the point of being detrimental to the animal's wellbeing. I thought it was a nice example of "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should".
E750 was a prototype for Indominus rex
E750 was also in A Tube container for the past 5 months. Kenji let it out because he pushed the buttons.
I'm not sure if it's true, but I watched all the seasons and that's what i think what happened

Besides The scorpius rex being so ugly, it's capabilities are cool. I loved the shots when it vanished when lightning struck then it was above them.
I think it left them alone for so long because it was released underground in a secret facility and probably took it a while to get out and we can see evidence of this in one of the last episodes where wu opens s door towards his secret lab and there are bunch of Scorpius scratch marks on the door.
Anybody else find it hilarious when the two E750s are just standing there screaming as the building collapses on them.

Eric Kirby somehow survived 8 weeks, but the kids were in a group. So it would make sense how they would last longer than Eric.
I don't think them being in a group makes it likely that none of them die over the course of 6 months. Their combined wits would only get them so far.
Eric was shown to keep a low profile, he had gas grenades and a completely sealed shelter. The kids are exposed in their tree house and are traveling all over the island for their mini missions, getting themselves into one life threatening situation after another. They even crash a helicopter and get attacked by a giant shark, apparently...
Of course none of them were going to die, but that would have been more believable if they didn't arbitrarily introduce a timejump for the sake of tying the show into FK. Given the amount of trouble we see them get into over the course of the few days we actually see during the season, times the number of months in between, it is very unlikely that all of them survive. It's too much of a stretch for me.
Eric The Boy Wonder miraculously surviving for a third of that time, is really no argument for all six of them surviving for 6 months.

The kids don’t see the scorpius rex during the first months because it teleported to another dimension where accidentally a clon of itself form in the portal, and the time passes different so they fight, enter the portal again, meet bill cipher from gravity falls, enter another portal, and start stalking the kids :D

I have more evidence to my E750 theory BTW My theory is for the five months the scorpions Rex is minding its own business it was creating it’s clone and I researched my idea and it takes around 60 to 65 days to clone a human so yeah Scorpius Rex is double the size probably bigger so that’s like 4 to 5 months(Comment if you agree)TY for listening

During those 5 months we didn't see the scorpius rex because it was raising its child until its mother instinct turned into a killer instinct even attacking its child and its child attacking its mother
The asexual reproduction was hard to believe, i really don't buy it that it grew up THAT quick and how it looks exactly the same and is the exact same size as the original Scorpius, but i hated this with Bumpy too, i just find it really hard to believe that an animal that size can grow up so fast without intense pain or deforming.
But yea, i originally liked the design and it i still find it really uncanny and pretty cool-ish, but it's literally just the Indoraptor but silly looking and it's just hard to take serious when you see it in the light, was hoping it would have a very different design from the Indoraptor, they could at least not make it black.

I agree there is much wrong with CC, although, on the whole, I think it is very well done, quite clever, and enjoyable. A few responses, though. Firstly, e750 did not coexist with the kids for 6 months but thawed and must have grown to its full size very recently. Also, unlike Isla Sorna, there are only a few predators roaming the island and few would likely have much interest in the kids given other options available, and most of the herbivores might be quite used to being around people and so not particularly dangerous. It is a stretch, but nowhere near as hard to believe as most of the rubbish that goes down in the steaming pile of dino dung that is Fallen Kingdom, or with the Kid in JP3 surviving on an island with raptors and a psychopathic Spinosaurus. Secondly, precisely because I agree the E750 climax was underwhelming, I don't think the logic applies that the season should have ended at that point. Given the underwhelming "climax", it felt worthwhile to have the next two episodes, and Wu's involvement in those episodes was not inconsistent with his presence up until that moment through this and the other seasons if this is truly wrapping up their time on Isla Nublar. Finally, at least E750's behaviour and goofy appearance are not unlike what normally happens with hybrids in real life. Disrupting genomes that have evolved in finely tuned ways and for very particular niches by mish mashing them with other species' genomes often produces dysfunctional freaks, not beautiful and super-efficient killers. Even closely related animals like Tigers and Lions produce offspring that look weird and are plagued with health issues. It makes sense Wu's first true hybrid would be more like a bumbling ugly Frankenstein's monster than a superbly efficient T800.
i just found it weird that Rexy wasn't present the entire time to face off with one (or both) of them.

I honestly don’t like E-750’s design... It’s head looks so goofy! And it’s sad since the scenes it had and it’s story were so scary!!! But the weird design took the scariness out of it... It honestly made me laugh during some scenes

What I like about the Scorpios Rex is that it acts more like an animal than the other two hybrids, it didn't go after only the humans in single minded bloodthirst (and also hunted for food not just for sport) and it also lasted the longest, (maybe) lasting most likely around a few days while the other two just lasted around a day.
So... I haven’t even seen this season yet, but all I know is: it probably would’ve been better without a hybrid. While yes, they needed something spooky and scary to move the story along, and this is meant for a younger audience then me, they just seem overused now in a way. Like they seem like these godly creatures, that will completely destroy the whole ecosystem, unless the people do something, which I don’t like that much. I think it would’ve been cooler if this season was about them trying to survive, like, a tropical storm or something (thank you Jurassic Park lol). I just feel like hybrids should’ve gone out with the Indominus. This thing, while it may seem scary, to me it’s just like, “well it’s one of these again.” I think I would’ve liked it, and wanted to watch it more, if they just left E750 out.
Can't agree more. The terror and fright the original antagonist dinos created ( Trex, Valociraptors, Spino) created can not be overcome by the hybrids, and one of the biggest reason for that is the reliability.

But everything just ended very quickly. In my opinion the worst thing of all was the realism (kids survived 6 months) as you mentioned in the video. I do agree that the time skip is pretty contrived and at first glance, it reeks of being there merely so the campers can experience the opening of Fallen Kingdom.
But I actually believe that the inclusion of the time skip eases the inclusion of the second Scorpius Rex . Sure, the second Scorpius Rex is pointless, but at least it fits.
I think... that the Scorpius Rex didn't bother the campers for the 4-5 months, because it was busy raising the second Scorpius.
Let me explain.
We know from episode 2 of season one that the dinosaurs are incubated for 13 weeks ( 3 months). The passage of time between episode 1 and episode 2 of season two is undisclosed precisely, but they say it's been some days, so maybe around half a week to a full week. Add the 22 day time skip between episode 2 and 3, plus the 2 days that episodes 3-8 take and we can conclude that season two roughly happens over the course of a month.
We saw Bumpy grow from a baby into an adult (or at least a subadult) over the course of season two, so let's say that the dinosaurs take about a month to reach maturity from the moment they're born.
So, if the Scorpius Rex reproduced asexually and had the second Scorpius, and we plug the numbers together, raising the second Scorpius would have taken about 4 months. And then we have to consider that the Scropius Rex probably didn't lay her eggs immediately after being unfreezed- she probably spend a while pregnant, And we also don't know how much time the original Scorpius took to recover from the effects of being frozen (because there are quite a few. yes, i am highly aware that this is a science fiction show, but the show also tries to explain itself with science, in which case i'll bring up the fact that if cryogenization was possible yet, it'd come with side effects to the cryogenized being in question), which would/could have taken even more days.
What does this amount of days mean¡ How does it make the fact the kids went on for 5 months without encountering it more believable?
Well, it simple: If the Scorpius Rex had offspring to lookout for, she wouldn't have been able to rampage through the jungle freely like we do see onscreen in season 3. If she did, the baby Scorpius would have been in peril of being eaten by other predators while it was unsupervised. And she wouldn't have been able to take risks while being pregnant either.
We know that the Scorpius was in the top north of the island, so that was probably her territory. And we know that while the camp is also north, it's still southern to the Scorpius' supposed territory. And we also know the campers explore mostly south, west and east during season 2 and don't go north until season 3.
So, if we go along this theory, in which the Scorpius was only able to kill to feed herself and her young, and could only explore a very limited area to ensure the proximity of her nest, it becomes less far fetched the idea that the campers didn't cross paths with the Scorpius until season 3, as they didn't explore those areas before.
But then that begs the question: If the Scorpius put so much time into raising the second Scorpius, then why do they try to kill each other?
For the same reason modern day animals also exhibit these behaviors.
Once the brood fully matured, and was able to fend for itself, it surely became just a competitor to its mother. They'd fight for the same prey (and mates to claim, if there were any, but they'd probably still have that instinct). So the first Scorpius kicked out the second one from her territory to ensure her dominance as an apex predator in her own domain.
This would also explain why the Scorpius rex starts to rampage southern and southern until it reaches the camp: because it's not the original Scorpius, but the second one which is now trying to set its own territory and is unbound by the limitations its mother had.
And we can take it a step further, since we can assume the original Scorpius would try to expand her territory, which would lead to the Scorpius finding each other and fighting- which we see in the show.
I know this theory might not be super precise. But it's the only explanation I could come up with.
Again, sure, the second Scorpius is pointless and it doesn't actually ramp up the tension or conflict, but I wouldn't say it was crammed.
E750 is pretty ugly however it does kind of resemble the monster from Mexico El Chupacabra the way how it has the quills on its back the short-faced the long teeth especially the kangaroo like arms and legs jump on unsuspecting prey. You could tell that the creators had the inspiration for E750 or Scorpius Rex from this mystical creature from Mexico that's known as the goatsucker

The thing about the 2 E750s: The plot was that this thing needed to die, because it was throwing the island out of balance. The moment they established that this thing can replicate itself, it raises the question of "did we kill all of them?". When the building collapses they are like "yay, we did it, E750 is dead". But is it? Who knows how many times this thing has replicated itself... can its replicas replicate themselves? What makes them think getting rid of these two would be enough and there aren't a others already roaming the island.
All in all despite all the justified criticism I still enjoyed watching this. It was suspenseful, kinda scary at some points and despite us knowing they aren't gonna kill off a kid in an animated TV-series, I still felt like the characters at least seemed in danger many many times. I think from that perspective it was as good as they could've made it.
Probably a controversial opinion but I actually like it’s ugly mug, mostly because its head shape looks a lot like an Abelisaurid. we know that there was a lot of Abelisaurids used in Indominus rex but it’s not a very obvious they’re in there with it mostly just looking like a Carcharodontosaurid with big arms and abelisaurid armour but Scorpius is clearly Abelisaurid in nature with its short snout, stout body and long legs that just screams Skorpionevator.
The thing basically looks like a mixture of Skorpionevator and the future predator from primeval and I kinda love that about it. Sure it’s ugly, like really hideous, but at least it feels unique in comparison to the indos which is what I hoped for. it could just be I’m bias because I’m a huge sucker for Abelisaurids especially Skorpionevator idk

I do have to chime a bit with the disappointment regarding E750, but I'm one of those weirdos who never liked the Indominus either, so I figured it was just me.
More of an issue for me is we never see what makes E750 "worse" than Indominus. There are plenty of opportunities to show what's *hinted* at, but they never follow through with it.
For instance, we see the E750's quills all over the place, suggesting it flicks them as an attack or defensive measure, like a porcupine or tarantula: this instantly distinguishes it from I-rex & I-raptor. They are notably different from a scorpionfish, as their spines don't detach like that.
Yet *we never see this! Ever!* Every single time it's used, it's either offscreen (the tree, the Sino tail) or its specifically *unseen* for a big shocking reveal (Sammy).
It's... Like... Why WOULDN'T you show this cool awesome thing the creature is clearly capable of to make it even more threatening & interesting?

I’m still kind of pissed at the whole “there’s two of them!” premise. Like what? It reproduces asexually? First, how? Is this Tremors 2 where it regurgitates another one? And shouldn’t it take years to grow to full size? Is this also Alien? Like every time they tried to explain it, either someone interrupts or they just ignore it. Having one Scorpius Rex was enough, why have two at all? The stakes didn’t need it especially as none of the kids die anyway.
Also that abomination was not worthy to even be in the presence of the original Jurassic Park visitor center!

i think its the best looking hybrid cos it looks soo weird. I thought the hindlegs looked awesome, very werewolfy. And about them not running into it for months... To be fair its a big island. it may well take months for 1 dino and 5 kids to bump into each other. E750 had been having large effects on the island for a long time before the kids first encounter it, as seen by the change in dino behaviour, that wouldve taken a while to take place. Just saying that seems an unfair criticism. I mean they never encountered Blue again until they got to the visitor centre. It looks like they were just on different parts of the island. With E750 and Blue being in the Northern part and the kids being closer to the docks further south on the island. Again, they only find the E750 lab, and the JP visitor centre during this season.
And to be fair they knew E750 was nearby their treehouse now, and again was now affecting the ecosystem further south on the island... so again, that part makes sense.
Oh and Im pretty sure it is attracted to fire because of its infrared vision, infrared is basically just heat after all.
Though I found the asexual reproduction thing pretty bloody stupid. I mean it had sixth months to grow I guess, but it was pretty dumb.
And the point about the last 2 episodes being a 4th season... maybe. I think what would be best is if E750 was alive and killed during those episodes rather than prior. But it made sense due to the connection with Fallen Kingdom, and then ending is an even better set up for next season in my opinion. And just gonna say they do affect the ending cos character development so... yeh. Id say thats the main reason those episodes had to be in this season, the character arcs, mainly Kenji and Darius and Ben and their relationships with each other, and by extension the relationship between Kenji, Darius and Brooklyn. Those 2 episodes really finished their arcs for this season, which I think is why, for me they didnt feel tacked on. But fair point the tension, buuuut I'd argue, movies can have more than climax, and a TV show definitely can.
And finally... the thing is, it wouldnt be too hard for a group of decently smart kids to survive on Nublar, for a few reasons. They could get around easily through the tunnels and avoid most carnivores, they would know to avoid where the carnivores frequented, unlike Eric they had much more supplies, and didnt have to worry about as large a population of different species, as there wouldnt have been uncontrolled breeding for as long. There was only 1 rex and 1 raptor, they knew where the rex frequented, so avoidable, and Blue was on a completely different part of the island assumedly for all of the 6 months, likely along with E750. They had a lot more supplies, a base of operations, safe travel, decent knowledge of the island, and each other. Not to mention, in reality, large dinosaurs wouldnt be that hard to avoid, theyre big and slow. So unless they got ambushed, which wouldnt likely happen because they were always together, they could probably escape the carnos, ceratos and allos. Monolophos again seemed to inhabit elsewhere on the island. Oh also Bumpy is basically a tank... so thatd help.
But I definitely agree E750 could have been done better. I think if they killed E750 in the fight with Blue, but then it was revealed it bred asexually and one showed up when Wu got there. That would have been better.
I am fairly mixed on E750 because the show failed to properly demonstrate early on what made it a threat. Sure it kills (my favourite Dino which should have been given an actual character and more screen time) a ceratosaurus and hauls off its body, but outside of it being strong enough to drag a multi tonne corpse what does that mean?
Was it stealthier than the ceratosaurus? Stronger? Smarter? Faster? Who knows because the ceratosaurus never demonstrated any real defining strengths or weaknesses (and does nothing but stare and sniff apparently). As a result I was unsure about what the scene was meant to demonstrate about E750.
So when they said that the E750 was a huge threat to life on the island I wasn’t sure about what kind of threat they meant? There was no real definition at least until later but even then as aggressive as it was would be able to stand up to a ceratosaurus or any other predator of comparable size in a fair (or more likely unfair) fight? No clue.
Unfortunately this doesn’t just apply to the Scorpius Rex but to a good chunk of the hostile creatures we have seen so far. With some exceptions the campers solution to dealing with their prehistoric foes is just to run and hide. They don’t usually have to do anything to outsmart the dinosaurs and pterosaurs they come in contact with.
For instance the baryonyx trio. Outside of them being triplets what exactly makes them different from other threats the campers face? Are they good at ambushing prey items? Not that we can see. Are they particularly smart? Who knows because they don’t do anything but run and roar, and run and roar, and run and roar.
And this is especially a problem when other dinosaurs are given a character. Toro for instance is fast with a lot of bullheaded aggression, but has difficulty make sharp turns. The pteranodons are agile fliers which are attracted to bright lights. Compared to these and other Dino’s the baryonyx’s and ceratosaurus feel more like big scary question marks than effective and dangerous predators.
It’s no wonder then that the campers are unable to outsmart or otherwise over come the obstacles they face. The obstacles are so poorly defined how can they?
Those 5 months were probably spent raising the child, but the two Scorpios Rex hate each other because the younger animal is going through that teenage rebellious stage

Well for the first 8 weeks it was still in cryogenic sleep as Dr Wu activated the backup generators in the events of Jurassic World. And we see those generators weren't shut down in the control room as Brooklyn discovers the frozen flowers which were keeping E750 at bay. After the generators shut down, it was still small so I guess waited to grow by feeding of Compys etc. Then it probably reproduced and started its rampage
I think that in 5 months skip the Scorpius was being unfrozen (it didn't broke overnight) and then made another E750 and was busy killing everything their thermal vison showed. Isla Nublar is big and at first the Scorpius could have been overwhelmed at what it was doing. Brooklyn having the Key Card could have explained how they got access to food and supplies as well working around dino encounters.
I agree that pushing the timeframe so long was a mistake and had they said they were on IN for 3 months at least, ended the season then and there after the Scorpius death and they finally escaping the island, ending at Mantah Island you could have worked around the group going back to Nublar to get Bumby and then have the FK opening. Awaiting S5, CC DLC for JWE 2, Smilodon, Spinoceratops, CC/Mantah style buildings, more Cenozoic creatures (we literally get Smilodon fossils in JWE2) and more attractions I will be set.

Also yes this creature can clone itself because of how animals do it irl, and plus in Jurassic World they explain Indominus Rex had cuttlefish DNA to help with accelerated growth so it’s safe to assume other Hybrids had that DNA
As to why the Scorpius Rex was out for 5 months but did nothing, I believe if my memory is correct, the lab is kind of far away from the kids and plus if movies have taught me anything about being cryogenically frozen it’s that once you get out you aren’t exactly doing things quickly so Scor probably was wandering around to get its bearings from being frozen for that long
Also the reason I like Scor is because of how unnatural and human-like it looks. The shorter snout for some reason makes me shiver because of how unholy it looks for an animal. Kind of like an Angler Fish, and I think we all remember how scary those things are. Plus that roar it gave when it stood up, that was just *french kiss* Beautiful u3u👌
Also how did these kids survive for 6 months on the island? These kids all have resourceful skills like fishing, trapping, aiding in wounds, hunting, etc. Plus they had Bumpy to help them ward off any bigger threats and a base that was off the ground, which I think also aided in their survival, plus Ben is a wild boy who probably helped whip them into shape-
Overall I understand why you thought of the season this way and that’s fine! I honestly had the same reaction to Scor at first, it was derpy but the more I looked and thought about it, it just became cooler and scarier! And to me this show isn’t a Kid’s show or an Adult’s show, it’s just...a Show, something to watch when you’re bored so you can entertain yourself, and hey. If it can entertain, well it’s good enough for me X3

The series actually explains why the kids have survived the reason being they knew how the dinosaurs acted and they learned how to avoid the predators and don't forget they also had bumpy who can win a fight against a Carnotaurus which is a medium sizes predator so its possible that bumpy can win against medium predators like Baryonxs Carnotaurus ceratosaurus and bumpy is easily able to handle any carnivore that's around the size of monolophosaurus even when they are in huge packs
@@NovaDragon-ws5cq actually there were 2 ceratosaurus we only see the red one die so we have the grey one and rexy didn't kill toro he still survived and was last seen at the end of fallen kingdom and there are still the allos which makes me think the scorpius rex killed the adults but the babies survived which explains why we only saw juveniles in fallen kingdom since Ben mentioned allosaurus in season 3
@@NovaDragon-ws5cq yeah Brooklyn stated in episode 9 or 10 that Darius knows how to avoid the predators and she also told Dr.Wu and the mercenaries where not to go because of the predators
@@NovaDragon-ws5cq toro is at the end of the movie in fallen kingdom being the same Carnotaurus who shared a meal with rexy and he was also attacked by rex in the eruption/stampede scene but he never died and toro is also and we also know off screen Ben encountered a allosaurus because of him describing what it is jumping into water when being chased by a allosaurus and then triping and the baryonxs only appear in season 2 and 3 and when Darius was searching in his guide for predators who hang there prey in trees we saw dilophosaurus raptors i think troodon compysagnathus dimemorphodon Carnotaurus
Accidentally submitted my replay so here the rest of it: pterandon was the last predator we see in Darius guide which isn't all of it since we can assume he has notes on tyrannosaurus baryonx ceratosaurus monolophosaurus and maybe allosaurus we also don't know how many more predators the group encountered since its safe to say that Darius probably studied every carnivore on the island in those 6 months with maybe the help of Ben and bumpy since he would be the safest with them
@@NovaDragon-ws5cq yes in the camp cretaceous the predators are shown with more animal behaviors but we also see that the carnivores are very memorable and vengeful as seen by rexy toro and grim and chaos since rexy killed tim who shocked rext and toro actively hunting the campers in season 1 for making fun of him until they blew him up so if they return to nublar we might see toro attacking bumpy and Ben for sending him off a cliff and grim and chaos hunting and killing tiff for killing limbo also I am not sure who's limbo chaos and grim but I am 50% sure limbo died

the scene in fallen kingdom where they get the bone takes place long before the main events of that movie. After all, Wu has to reverse engineer and create a new hybrid based just off the bone of the indo, so there's a big time gap between the opening scene and the rest of the movie.
Actually scorpius was not roaming around the island for the other 5 months and then found the kids no scorpius was in the incubator at the end of season 2 and then escaped to the island
