I got him as a rescue and his habitat must have had the wrong humidity or too much heat and he has lots of layers. I LOVE ALL ANIMALS. I like how your message was very educated and out of general wonder. So if I don't help with this shed it will stay on the dragon, more and more layers will grow after time and can cause pressure wounds over time. Any wound on a reptile is not good because of them being cold blooded, and they only heal when the light is on.
