I reverted to Islam 12 years ago. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Islam is the complete guidance for life and prepares you for what comes next. When I speak to friends and they try to debate me, I swear I’ve never lost a debate defending Islam. Islam forbids everything that is bad for you personally and bad for society. Islam is the perfect religion and the truth. May Allah guide you guys to Islam. Enjoying watching your journey and we only want what’s best for our brothers and sisters in humanity.

Alhumdullilah! My Son and I took Our Shahada and became Proud Muslims on this January! I have been a devout Christian for about 40 years and was at a Pastoral level, even baptized my Son! I baptized Him in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit! He got really sick started losing weight, had a few surgeries and kept getting sicker and hearing voices. I thought for sure He was going to pass away. It was so scary! I begged God! For a Miracle! I drove by a Big Mosque in my State one day! I decided to take Him there. He begged me to go because it thought it was the only way to heal. We prayed adamantly to God! Even being a devout Christian and believing Jesus was God. I took my Son there. We could feel the power, We felt strongly convicted to take the Shahada! And we did! Now My Son rapidly became Happy, stopped hearing the voices, gained the weight back, the other surgeries were canceled. It’s a miracle. I can’t explain it all! We are definitely going with what works! We study the Tanakh, the Holy Bible, and the Quran endlessly! We keep seeing the contradictions in the Bible and find truth in the Quran on a daily basis! Whatever this mystery of life, death, and eternity is clearly up to God! And under Gods control! Completely! So we believe Allah is the One true God! May Allah Guide You in Your decision! Whatever it May be! ❤️

First advice, ignore the Haram police. When I first reverted back in 2001, I almost turned away for good because of everything I was told I was doing wrong and not in the most helpful way. Find someone who is knowledgable and will guide you with patience, sincerity, and understanding. Take your time. Surround yourselves with Muslim brothers and sisters that will encourage you in a positive and uplifting way. Soon, you will begin to structure your life around Islam, and as you ease into the religion, it will feel more natural and welcoming. You won't miss Christmas because you will have Eid, which is a pure and beautiful celebration. Like you, I subscribed to the belief in UFOs, the supernatural, etc. You can still believe in those things, but the more you come to understand Islam, the more you will begin to see the world through that lens and accept that nothing happens without the will of Allah. Brother, Allah SWT has blessed you with the gift of logic, voice, reason, and presentation. You will become an even stronger communicator if you do so for the sake of Allah SWT. Kelly, your lovely face will be framed beautifully in the hijab when you're ready to don one, and the bond with your husband will grow stronger as you grow together in Islam. I took my Shahada a year ago. And then a week later was when Ramadan started. I never had a particular religion that I followed. I always believed that every religion was man made, or that man came along and created religion themselves. What opened my eyes to Islam was when Qatar hosted the World Cup. Seeing the friendliness of the Qatari’s and the Dawah center set up for those attending the tournament got me to see Islam in a different light. I was never someone who was Islamophobic, but I always had a complete misconception about Islam because of the bias in western media and the society I lived around. I was also intrigued that the Quran has been kept preserved up until this day. I’ve been reading the English translation of the Quran, and while you’re not reading the actual Quran if you don’t read it in Arabic (Insha’Allah I’ll be able to read it in Arabic one day), I still feel like Allah is speaking to me. This has now been my second Ramadan. Since becoming Muslim I have given up on drinking. And now in my 30s I’m looking at having a better career and getting married and raising a family Insha’Allah.

I reverted to Islam 39 years ago after studying Christianity at Boston University. If you are sincere, the more you look into Islam the more you will want to revert. There is a bias against Islam at this point in the US but if you can get past and use your intellect then you will understand the truth . Please keep in mind that the Quran is very deep and the Prophet used to have to explain it to the people of his time because of this. The explanation of this is call the Tafsir. You should visit a mosque with a knowledgeable Imam he can explain a lot to you.

Allah is sufficient to teach (QS 96:5) and guide His servants (QS 25:31). Allah is All-Knowing and All-Giving. We do not need to create partners for Allah to guide humans (QS 17:110, 25:2, 49:12, 39:8, 34:33, 35:40, 34:33, ). No one can explain better than Allah (QS 35:14). Allah alone is sufficient (QS 25:31, 4:45). The Quran 'alone' is enough (QS 29:51).
I had a big fight within myself to convert to Islam. Like I said before me being a Christian my whole life I couldn't stop my bad habits for over 14 years especially alcohol. Media and the people around me made me think Islam was a terrorist religion and worship a different god. After watching your videos and learning for myself the truth I can say I am Muslim now and I've never felt more whole🙏🏻

MATHEW 21:33-46
There was a landowner who planted a vineyard in a land,He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit (Matthew 21:33-34)
.The tenants seized his servants;and land owner send so many servants to the land but they beat one, killed another, and stoned another one, Last of all, he sent his one and only son to them. "They will respect my son," he said (Matthew 21:35-37).
But when the tenants saw son, they said to each other, "This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance." So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
Then Jesus asked in , “What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”
Jesus said to them, “Hav e you never read in the scriptures:
‘The very stone which the builders rejected(son=Jesus) has become the corner stone, Lord’s doing,and it is marvelous in our eyes’?Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it.”[a]

As a cook island/Maori background, I grew up in a big Polynesian Christian family for all of my childhood and teenage life, i am 49 years old now, and converted 20+ years ago, Allah aka God does not make mistakes, your time is written whatever Allah has willed for you both will come into fruition, I wish you both, the best on your journey, god willing you will both take shahada.
I reverted 8years before my wife. It was the most difficult 8years of my life but after she finally joined me on the Straight Path the love that Allah put between us is something I never could have imagined. There are so many different advices I would love to give you two, but for whatever reason I feel like this is the only one that would be unique after seeing the rest of the comments. The blessing it would be to start the journey of Islam together would be incalculatable. When you take the guess work out of the relationship and do for each other what God himself has prescribed the love he puts between you is something else. If you had each other to support and sound off of from the beginning I know it would be something special. May Allah guide you and bless you both.
I reverted during Ramadan and it was best decision I made. Not saying the journey is easy, but for Allah it's worth it. i pray Allah guides you, and find support from a local Mosque. Islam is for everyone

And when you decide to revert, the best advice is, to learn how to pray. This will keep your connection to Allah. From there, take everything slowly. Build a foundation and you can add little by little. Islam is a journey. . Allah knows your heart and your intentions. He will guide you as long as your intentions are pure and you make the effort. 💕💕💕

As someone who reverted there is so much to learn. Alhamdulilah I converted in 2021. My advice is go speak with imams. As long as you believe God is one and Muhammad was the last messenger then you can convert and the rest of the knowledge will come. I reverted from a drug filled, sex crazed life. Some people would tell me I have to do this or that, but even the Quran was revealed over time. Now, thank God, I do not do any of these things but I had to do it at my own pace.
One day you are in a sincere moment. Ask God for guidance and proceed with your path. Keep and open mind as I’ve seen you do and you will know what is for you.

My advice is do it as soon as possible Allah almighty is guiding you from darkness to light, so therefore do not hesitate or do not listen to the negative people who are ignorant of the truth.

Of course they should listen and obey that command, but you probably don’t even understand that command and that is why you disobey it!!
My advice is, if you guys really become muslims... practice the faith with ease. You dont have to change your names or immediately wear hijab etc. It will be a shock if you want to do it all in a day.
If you a comments like "why you dont you change your name?" or "why dont you wear hijab?", just ignore them. Its not easy to change your whole life instantly
Names dont need to be changed. Islam is for the whole world. Our prophet came for everyone. So keep your name as it is :) there is a reason why god gave you it to you guys. Your parents choose them for you. And we should not break our parents heart nor even say uff if we get frustrated with them.
So be yourself and open up to allah he will guide you the right way :)

First of all there is a verse in the Quran saying that there is no compulsion in religion, meaning we cant force you to accept a faith. If you sincerely believe the words of the Quran to be from God, there is no reason not to accept. If you take your Shahada (testimony of faith), do not stress about learning everything. Even as a born muslim, learning islam is like a marathon, not a race. May Allah make it easy for you, and grant you perseverance and strength on your journey.
If you have doubts i would suggest going on a livestream with The Muslim Lantern, where he can explain islamic fundamentals and answer questions the you may have.

I reverted 6 months ago in university. Best decision I ever made. Do the research, the answers are there for those whose seek.
I reverted from Christianity 25 years ago. Whoever seeks God from the bottom of his heart, he will find it and God will guide him. Thats how I found to Islam because thats the only religion I truly could seek the nearness of Allah.
I was born muslim but behaving as a westerner. Then one day two muslims co-workers were talking and they asked me if i was muslim and i was honest and said yeah but that i was not practicing. Then one said to me 'God guides whom he wills'..
Then months after that, things began to happen to me into dreams..
Then slowly i went from no prayers at day 0 to 5 prayers a day at day 1. 0 to 5 prayers in one day.
It took me two days to learn to pray, hopefully at that that time i knew some Surahs that i used to recite while driving or walking alone even if i was not a practicing muslim.
That helped me a lot
Now i am a full practicing muslim and happy muslim.
So things will come to you if they are meant to come to you..
God clearly said in the Qur’an, “Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.”
They are still learning. Let them learn and stop trying to coerce people to revert so that you could selfishly collect a good deed. It won’t count anyway. God knows your intention. Be careful. Be supportive and help guide their decision instead of just lazily declaring what the punishment of the non-believer is, in order to scare someone to belief. Fear Allah.

The great thing about Islam for the true seekers of the truth, is that the more you dig, the more it's truthfulness it's uniqueness it's miraculous nature and becomes apparent and all shadows of doubt regarding it being the direct and absolute word of the creator, simply disappears... So either way, so long as your heart is in the right place, if your Lord wills it, you'd be guided towards the right path and he will bring you back to your original state you were both born as, Muslims, InshAllah.
This is between you and your Lord and peer pressure has no place in such matters. Allah will guide you as he pleases. All we can and should be doing, is to pray for you and ask of Allah to help and guide you and us all to the right path and forgive us our shortcomings and our weaknesses and our sins and our ignorances and grant us all his mercy and forgiveness on the judgement day InshAllah 🤲🤲

My advice is visit your local mosque or Islamic centre. Sit down with a person of Islamic understanding and knowledge preferably a sheikh or the Imam of the mosque. He will be able to answer any questions that may be delaying your decisions. Inshallah we have a new brother and sister Islam soon!

I was born and raised Muslim, in the biggest Muslim country in the world, religion, is a learning process, and I still do to this day, just because we are Muslim doesn’t mean we are sinless, this is what has been the issue for people who consider reverting but are afraid to take the step, is very touching when I heard that but is not necessary, Muslim are not perfect, we still make mistake, we still sinning that’s what makes us human, and when I hear you said aren’t ready yet, I don’t know when you think is ready, the term readiness is subjective since is different for each of us, but even for Muslim scholar, they can't claim that they are 100 % understood Allah wisdom, yes, their knowledge way ahead alot of Muslim but Allah, only ask to do our best, repent and keep trying each day

Also in Quran Surah Al Kafiroon Allah says “say to the disbeliever I do not worship what you worship and you do not worship what I worship, I will not worship what you worship and you will not worship what I worship. For you is your religion and for me is my religion.

The Parable of the wicked Tenants
MATHEW 21:33-46
There was a landowner who planted a vineyard in a land,He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit (Matthew 21:33-34)
.The tenants seized his servants;and land owner send so many servants to the land but they beat one, killed another, and stoned another one, Last of all, he sent his one and only son to them. "They will respect my son," he said (Matthew 21:35-37).
But when the tenants saw son, they said to each other, "This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance." So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
Then Jesus asked in , “What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”
Jesus said to them, “Hav e you never read in the scriptures:
‘The very stone which the builders rejected(son=Jesus) has become the corner stone, Lord’s doing,and it is marvelous in our eyes’?Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation producing the fruits of it.”[a]

Islam really respects a person's right to choose to believe or not, and there is no compulsion to become Muslim. However, we never know whether we will be alive tomorrow, to convert to Islam is very easy just by confessing our faith, by saying the shahada, there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. After that, learn Islam slowly and gradually, don't rush all at once in a short time, enjoy each stage diligently and really understand, the main thing to learn is prayer 5 time a day or shalat

Islam is a religion that doesn't force one to become a Muslim unless it comes from within. We have a huge Muslim population here in the Greater Detroit area, and I know many who have reverted. Salam, I’m getting goosebumps hearing your story. I recently reverted to Islam 1 year ago. My wife took her Shahada one month ago. And my 17-year-old son last week. Like I tell my son as long as you have the belief take it. You have your whole life to learn.. Remember it’s a marathon not a sprint. Little by little. May Allah guide you to the truth.

Some advice:
1. First of all, don't rush.
2. Stay away from those Muslim who always say, "Just convert to Islam." They're emotional people, not logical.
3. At first you don't have to follow all that rules. Just try to strengthen your faith.
4. Read and understand about all the controversial things people says about Islam, and ask some Islamic scholars about those questions to make yourself doubt-free. So, you won't regret it later.

I was born within a Muslim but not practicant, some relatives, practice but very little, they’re very good in their hearts, so growing up in Europe away from my home country I identified as atheist, seeing religion as not very good for people, but I lived with the sense that something or someone is always watching when you can make a choice or something happens.. and just recently, since digging into history and human origins and understanding how society works, how our reality is shaped because of history.. I got closer to religion and finally embraced Islam ! Did my first Ramadan ! Tried my best but I will always improve and become a better Muslim, I feel enlightened and much in peace now that I believe in a higher power that has created everything in such a perfect and simmetric way in anything you can talk about starting from bad and good

Just do it my brother and sister! I just met a 19yr old in the mosque 2 days ago, this was the first time he ever entered the mosque and was unsure how to pray but he said he believed in the creator and Mohammed (pbuh) was a prophet. That's all you need to believe to take the shahada and start your journey on the discovery of Islam, may Allah guide you.
