I am so glad you reacted to this! Your reaction to all the embellishments was great😝. In the first loop, Cesar didn't do a final pass because Layne was the final person to go, so Layne actually added extra harmony and essentially did the final mix/edit. At least, that is my understanding.
I generally want full versions of all their shorts. I have to admit, though, that I want a full version of "Return to Sender" more than usual. Hearinh it brings back some precious memories.
I think Geoff meant to say Cesar wouldn't know it. I don't think that Cesar's final edit was much different than what he got back. Geoff has much more experience at this. I hope you watched the end, watching Geoff do that vocal whatever the heck it was was amazing!!
I think Geoff was just being Geoff when he said Layne wouldn’t know it. (There’s a lot of good-natured ribbing between those two). When Layne arranged, he usually picks a part that interests him to start, and I think that showed here. Cesar came up with this concept, and I hope it continues. Even when we don’t get full versions.
The song didn't go back to Cesar in the first loop. Possibly that is just because these are still knew and they're figuring out as they go how they work best. Personally, I think it's because Layne and Geoff are so used to being the in charge of the arrangements, Geoff couldn't help tweaking when he got the song back from Cesar 🤣 Layne was the last one on the first loop, so he knew exactly how to bring it all together and end up with a polished product.
They are still experimenting with how to do one of these loops, so if they do any in the future, they may be a bit different than what they've done with these first two loops. This one sounded great!
I really hope, you watched the end of the video (even after recording). After the VP Logo there's just a little... show-off by Geoff to prove That he really can jump the octaves >live
I think that in this one we got to see less of the actual “how to” because they gave us more of a finished product at the end. I want to see both sides! I would love to hear this done full length but they only have so many hours in the day unfortunately. You made a comment about the die Geoff used. Have you seen their mini for Critical Role? As I understand it it’s a (YT?) web series based on people playing D&D. I think it’s called My Turn to Roll.
@@1MannzOpinionYeah, they did a cover of "Your Turn to Role" (the song Sam Riegel wrote for the animated campaign 2 intro) as a short with Ashley Diane. Cesar's a big Critter, too, and fanboyed pretty hard when the CR gang were gushing over it on Twitter. 😄 I don't know if Geoff still plays D&D, but he's definitely made reference to a campaign when he was in middle school, so those polyhedrals he's rolling are probably vintage. 🎲
I believe we all we all want a full version.

Same here!
Cesar sneaking in the POLITEST age dig ever. How could anyone get mad at him 😂😂
❤❤❤
Geoff is such a genius arranger. As is Layne of course, And Eli is now doing more.
I think Geoff meant to say Cesar wouldn't know it.

I'm going back to check!

I'm really enjoying it, I hope it continues too.
Yay! So glad you reacted to Loop #2, and that you went back and checked the end.
Yup. That was sass from Cesar. He’s teased the others for being older before. And yes, they give it back. 😏
I'm sure they do!
I love this so much. Not only is it a fun way to see how these can come together but they just did so good with this one
I want them to do one of these every week or two. It's fun. I'm with you - Return to Sender goes way back for me.
Oh I'd be so happy if we got one every two weeks
@@1MannzOpinion Talk to Cesar - this is his project.
I would love a full version these guys are too talented for their own good, love your reactions
Yes!
we should do a petition to get them to do a full version of this song
I'm so down@@katrinakhalatians2776
let’s do it if we can get enough people to sign we can do it
This is really cool. I haven’t seen part one of you reacting to these yet but I will be watching it soon. I really enjoyed watching it
I wish these weren't shorts and be able to see more of how each person does their thing. I do enjoy them though. Thanks for the reaction!

I agree, I want the full version, it's sooo good!!

I have not seen it but I'm a CR fan so I'll have to check it out

You did miss a tiny bit at the end of Geoff recording those low notes!
