I walked by the cathlab at work the other day and it sparked my interest bc the ER has me burnt out... I want to learn more about what the Cath lab entails.. thanks for letting us get an inside look💕

Even thought I failed my NCLEX, I STILL don’t want to do bedside. I have so much stress at home, I can’t imagine going to work and putting on more stress.
@@quelquun2018 omg right?! Imagine the anxiety every time going into work on top of having stress at home.. there’s so many places you can work at that don’t require bedside

That’s what I did. Worked as a nurse tech on weekends in the hospital for three years while I became a RN & raising 6 kids. I always tell people if I did it then I know anyone can! Good luck.

i’m going to school to be an rcis and in my hospital system nurses also scrub and rcis also circulate and give medicine. interesting to see it done a different way!

I hope you see this and answer lol. What made you wanna switch to a day shift and not wanna do night shift anymore? I’m a MA and I did a CNA program, during clinical I also didn’t really like bed side either. I’m hoping to be a RN. I feel dumb cause as cath lab I literally thought it meant like UAs lol 🥲 can you go a little more into detail please of what Cath Lab is? Also you ever think about doing L&D or NICU? Any pros and cons to that, May I get your input?

Do you know the difference between working in cath lab vs IR and which one do you get more critical patients?
I think you mean cardiac versus interventional radiology... it really varies! Cardiac is faster pace and a little harder than IR. But typically the more critical patients will have anesthesia on the case and as the nurse its less work for you.

Be careful with the peanut butter powder if you have dogs because it contains xylitol which is deadly in small quantities for our pups. It’s also in other things like mouthwash, toothpaste, gums, foods and especially sugar free/low sugar foods, etc. companies aren’t even required to label it so be very careful!
