Those turned out awesome. Look better then some of the store bought ones. If you find out you don't have enough room in your tackle box for them all, you could send one my way haha

They look great! Would be cool to test also low light conditions vs. more light, cloudy vs. sunny, stained vs clear water to see how they all stack up.

I've been building, testing and comparing wooden lures for years and you know what color works just as good as any, bare wood. The paint scheme hooks the human

Sounds like the kid’s toys market. They are selling to the buyer not the player

There is of course a lot to this. But At the same time there's times when some colors work and other times when other colors work. For instance early season I have a ton of success with crazy colors and late season they don't seem to work well. But late season highly realistic and especially dark lures tend to work much better.

Thanks Franko, looking forward to on the water testing !
Based on viewing the silvery/reflective surface from underwater, I believe that black is the most noticeable color and white is the most representative color of the counter-shaded bellies of many baitfish. I think that silver/chrome is the least visible/noticeable color for a top-water as it blends with the (wavey) surface. I wonder if color is important on a lure that is back-lit.
On a side bar, I camoflage the light gray bottom of my fishing kayaks with large, random star shaped shapes of silver, blue and green to represent reflections of the surface, sky and weeds.
Besides looking cool 😎 I think it breaks up the hull and makes it less noticeable to the fish. Been doing that for years and hook lots of fish right beside the boat.
Anyway, for top-water lures/flies, I prefer black or white and will occasionally go for bright/hot color so I can see it better during a subtle retrieve.
I'm envious of you open water fishing, heavy frost and a skim of ice on the pond in the morning. The boat has been put away for the winter, time to tie flies and make lures 😊
    Cheers!

These are some of the first lures I made from wood and I'd love to fill a tacklebox with them, but even when starting with a dowel, each takes too long without at least a mini lathe. Somehow carving and sanding two rounded points ends up being more work than cutting out other shapes on a saw lol.

Man, as much time as that resin spends in the oven... you might as well start a cooking channel. 😂 Nice looking lures Franko!

It would be nice if I could bake some bread along side the lures....something to snack while I wait.

Wow, I really love this chrome stuff and need it in my shop. Is there ant way of applying it with a brush (Or air brush) to just chrome specific parts of an item, such as only chroming the eye sockets? Thank you so much!

I like them the unpainted white, maybe just add the eyes. But I suck at painting, so that probably has something to do with it!

I’ve been looking for the twist tech tool and every place is out of stock. Do you have any recommendations of where I can look to find one, or do they still make them, if not what would be another option? Second question is I am starting to design a smaller uv chamber what would you recommend be the cylinder part? I have the same motor you used for the collapsible turner? Thanks Alex,
    love the channel

You really need to check out Barbatos Rex (another UA-camr that does plastic models),,, he just released a video of a chrome paint you might be interested in! He also has a color shift paint that would be pretty cool on some lures!

Hi Franco! That bone color is my favorite, I think it will work the best. Not to disregard silver plated lures, I really love gold and blue one as well! Maybe you could revisit copper top / Duracell battery pattern from this ( ua-cam.com/video/BNBH0W_oO58/v-deo.html ) video some time? 480p just doesn't do it justice.
