Fixing Sony MDR-XD100 headphones | there's a pattern here...

These retailed in the ballpark of $20-30 CAD. I bought them at Zellers.
Similar problem to the MDR-XD200 in a previous video. Slightly different failure mode. In the other video, the wire came unsoldered. In this one, the wire was damaged. Probably because I ran over the insanely long cable with my office chair every 3 hours, which yanked these to the floor.
These headphones sound bad. Do not buy the overpriced used ones. Save your pennies and buy something nicer like ATH-M50s.

This fix worked on my Sony MDR 7506s. My right side speaker was the same way. even the part where I temporarily shoved the wire into the housing lmao. Cheers bro!

I have just fixed mine today, i had the same problem, after 12 years us using my earphones i guess i broke the wire in the right channel, thanks for sharing, i saw yor video after i fixed mine, but its good to know that soldering that wires it´s har for everyone hehehe.
