Trick invention. Very cool. I can certainly see usefulness where heat (from a heatgun or butane torch) cannot be applied for fear of adjacent injury... A shame so much additional waste is incurred by removing the inner spiraled support.
The spiraled support is fully recyclable. And yes, you are correct, we have a number of customers who love the cold shrink, especially in scenarios where heat cannot (or should not) be used.
