- Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has said that it is “important” to look at a “human story” behind a donation as he defended the use of accommodation for his son to study for his GCSEs during the general election campaign.
Following the reporting of the donation, Sir Keir told Sky News that he was not going to “let my son fail or not do well” in his exams while journalists were outside the family home in north London.
Columnist Peter Hitchens joins Talk’s Mike Graham to discuss this further.

My thoughts as well. The Jimmy Saville and Mohamed Al-Fayed cases both went to the CPS which failed to act on them. The decision whether or not to prosecute such high profile people would definitely not have been taken by some underling. The files would have gone straight to the top and landed on Starmer's desk. The evidence in both cases was overwhelming yet he failed to proceed. Why?
