- As of January 1, 2023, individuals with Medicare prescription drug coverage can access certain recommended preventive adult vaccines at no cost. These vaccines covered under Medicare Part D include RSV, shingles, tetanus/diphtheria (Td), tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap), hepatitis A, and hepatitis B. Additionally, Medicare Part B already covers flu, pneumococcal, COVID-19, and certain other vaccines without any cost-sharing. State Medicaid programs are also now mandated to cover specific recommended adult vaccinations without cost-sharing for many adults enrolled in Medicaid. Visit LowerDrugCosts.gov to learn more.
