I like how the music changes, to an acoustic version of My Immortal- Evanescence. It's a really good song, nice touch!
glad I'm not the only one who noticed
I think I found where it comes from... ua-cam.com/video/5J4A6kvoYaA/v-deo.html
Nice mix there when the vocals started I was reminded of Pink Floyd then the Evanescence cover kicked in and there went my brain x)
Mr. Wranglerstar, I must say Mr. Wranglerstar Jr. has a striking resemblance to his mother!
0:42 Hey Wranglerstar! Coca-Cola called. They want their pallet back!
+Eternal Improvement TV lmaoooooo
Ha ha
im pretty dumb, but isnt it just apple juice until it is carbonated
Sky Hygh No. it's just unfiltered apple juice
Sky Hygh yes it is, if it wasn't carboated it would be called apple juice
Thank you for including your son in so much of what you do... he will cherish the memories. I wish my father would have included me in things and made me feel wanted. If I was allowed to be around when he was doing something, I had to keep my mouth shut and just watch or I was pushed away.
Great video. Reminds me of when I was a little boy in Vermont. There was a water powered cider mill not too far from Windsor, where I lived, and in the fall the farmers would bring their "drops" there and have them pressed into cider. All the equipment was very old. The cog wheels were made with wood, I remember, and I remember the water wheel. They had two HUGE wooden tanks, they first pored the fresh cider into one, and sold that as "sweet cider". The second was "hard cider" and was constantly fermenting. As it would drop in level, they would refill it from the sweet cider tun. You could take samples of cider from the barrels, and nobody drank the sweet cider, nobody even said anything when we kids would snag a cup. It was just a tradition that everybody drank the hard cider. LOL !
I envy that little man so much...
That's some Parenting right there
U look edgy
Silvio Rispoli I second that. Hey, dad, you seeing this?
the second song is My Immortal by Evanescence for those wondering
Armand Fanaie Just typing in "My Immortal Acoustic" should bring it up.
Thank you for the wonderful video. You and your family have gave me and my family hours of enjoyable watching. I have always be a do it your self kinda guy. Watching you and your family has made me a better man, instead of telling my kids or my wife I don't need help now I ask for them to help so I can teach them. You opening my eyes to what matters in life, God, family and being a good person to others.
THANK YOU.
I'll tell ya brother the four most wonderful things I saw in this video. 1. Smile on your face. 2. Smile on Cody's face, 3. Smile on Mrs Wranglestar's face, 4. Dog wagging tail.
What most rejoiced my soul? Seeing you take the time to properly prep the press. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR'S!
My son and I press cider with our homemade grinder and cider press. We really love it. What a great way to spend quality time with your son and to teach them to be appreciative of the food that so many people take for granted.
Cody, from great men come great things. You and your wife are a definite inspiration to my wife and I. We are working hard to achieve our goals. As of yesterday we are now totally debt free with the exception of utility bills! It took us 5 years and involved lots of sacrifice but we did it! Now, we are moving onto stage 2, which is land development...I'll be in touch. Again, thank you for sharing your life and lessons with the rest of the world.
So much nostalgia for me here. This was and is still huge family tradition for me as well. We made about 100 gallons every fall. I haven't done it in many years since I live on the other side of the country now, but it makes me want to make a special trip back home when they start in about a week of so.
Hello, Cody
Just want to write and send my appreciation for your videos. I admire your work ethic and approach to quality workmanship. These are values my father instilled on me and feel they are very important in life. Quality workmanship and pride in doing things right is something that is being lost to younger generations. Keep up the inspiring videos. I spend each weekend watching them with my morning coffee and it gives me motivation to go and do something productive with my hands that day
sitting here watching this video its crazy how humbling this video is and show that you need to slow down and enjoy every minute. like the smile on your face while jack is turning the press, that's a smile from the heart ! we need another good video like this one.
Wow, he looks just like his mother! :-)
awesome video Cody. I really love how you and Jack work together. I can tell there is true father son love between the two of you. May God bless you and your family in all you do. Seeing These videos reminds me of my grandfather, who raised me and cared for me as if I were his own. Thanks.
Jack sure has Mrs. Wranglerstar's smile...wonderful to look at! You three make a wonderful and emulatable family...all the values that, if we all had and practiced, could change the world.
When my brother and I were kids we collected apples from the trees scattered around our grandfather's farm. We'd load the wagon full of cider, pull it to the paved road and sell it. One year we made over $100 each - an absolute FORTUNE to us at the time. Thanks for posting this, brought back some fond memories.
7 years ago...... I remember watching this video when it was first posted. My how the years fly by.
Work can be fun, Something i always wanted to do. Love your life style and just the way you do things. your son will remember the time he was making cider with his dad. that's a special moment he will treasure when he older. Thanks great Vid
John your comment made me smile. Thank you...
This has got to be my favorite wranglerstar video I always come back to it and watch it! Young cody and jack and how they've through the years changed themselves and the acoustic version of my imortal, great video!
I really want one of these because that store bought stuff is terrible
+cheezyllamba it's delicious. I canned some and just had some today. mrsW
+Wranglerstar Your son has the smile of his mum
cheezyllamba compared to the real stuff
Beautifull family you have there Mr and Ms Wranglestar. I always think that farmers and other families that work with nature of animals tend to be the happiest and respectfull to there environment and people around them. Looming forward to the next video :-)
I really like that you are exposing your son to the ways things were done, but also exposing him to tech and UA-cam. I can only imagine the "job" Jack will have someday. The skill set that he will have will be very unique. Thanks for all the videos, I've been a fan since the timber framing series.
Great vid, nice to see how well the restoration project went.Well done all
Kid looks just like his mom. This video is so wholesome. Thanks for it.
What a peaceful, relaxing video. I just closed my eyes and enjoyed the sound.
Thanks and again a great video. Nothing better than a tree ripe apple.
Drying apples is great too. We had 5ac of golden delicious apples in SoOregon and sold half and dried half. Dried apples are great for long term storage too.
I have a 1968 Triumph 650 TR6R that I have had since new. See avatar. So fun.
Again thanks for a warm and wonderful video. God bless, protect and keep the Wranglestars.
Thank you so much for the apple pressing experience this weekend! What a beautiful home and family! If you're ever in or traveling through Tulsa Oklahoma please let me know, you've got a place to stay!
Thanks for putting a smile on my face today! Your videos really hit home with me.
what a happy life good for you guys
The smile of a happy child is amongst the best smiles there is. It really warms your hart.
Thanks Cody and family, It was awesome watching the cider press restored months before and now seeing it in use... Awesome
Never seen an old forklift tractor like that. Cool!
That son of yours is so great and he has his Mothers smile. Love seeing all of you working together. Great examples for others to follow. And how great to use tools that require no fuel or electricity. Something those who do not have old fashioned tools will discover when they lose power. We will be pressing and canning apple juice in October.
Nice version of Amy Lee's "My Immortal."
:)
I love how family friendly your channel is plus your videos inspire me so much.
+Wranglerstar is the only channel that I visit the advertiser every time because Cody is such a great guy and I love his videos. I wish he made some more bee keeping videos again. Those videos were really fun.
My brother has a orchard and every year my family looks forward to his care package with homemade apple butter and apple cider! Why we ever got away from the good life I'll never know. Great job!! IMHO
On your FB page, you ask, "Who's going to help me press 1800 lbs of apples!"
This reminded me of the childhood story, The Little Red Hen.
Too bad I live 2000 miles away, or I would.
Watching Jack help and then enjoy a drink of the fruits of his labor, put a smile on my face.
Isn't it nice to see happy smiling faces of people enjoying the fruits of their labour.
We feel no pressure. We simply share videos of our life. What you see is what we would be doing with or without UA-cam. If we cease to enjoy making videos we'll stop. Nothing more, nothing less. UA-cam has allowed us to follow our hearts desire. My God has made all this possible, for I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.
Wranglerstar you definitely take pride in evereverythig you do on this channel, i can definitely respect that ... i love to see people still doing stuff like this with the whole "modern curve" going on. Its nice to see "the old fashioned way" done with pride and joy.
Finally got a chance to watch the video. Actually 3 minutes here and there took all day. Joys of working 6 to 6. That is a better machine than we had but the idea was the same. I remember we had some kind of bag that we ground the apples into, then tied the top and then pressed it like you did. I like your way of doing it without the bag. The bag was a mess to clean and took extra time.
That is a very nice machine and excellent video. Cheers!!
I love how the boy sticks his tongue out when he concentrates. I remember doing the same exact thing when I was younger
These videos make my day Cody. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us here.
it brings tears of joy to my eyes to see jack having a good time with his dad....I never got to see my dad so I just love to see a real man out there in this world who cares about his son as much as Mr. Wranglerstar does
Interesting attitudes some people have about what they see. Video brought back memories of the way life used to be. Families doing things together. Making their own cider rather than buying processed apple juice from concentrate. To me it didn't matter whether it was a Clark or a mule pulling a wagon load of apples.
Material possessions don't measure the caliber of a man. The measure of a man is the fruit he bears. The measure of a child's smile when tasting the fruit of his labor - priceless.
Cody thanks for the videos. Been watching for awhile now, appericate the time and effort your putting into them. Learning lots, little by little. Someday maybe this will be our future as well. God Bless.
I smile each time I see your whole family working together and spending time with one another. Bless all of you.
The production value of this video is only surpassed by the content! Hats off to you sir, another excellent post. Love Jack's expression as he tightens the press...
Your all so uplifting thank you wranglerstar family! You continue to make my day.
Awesome video. Beautifully made, inspirational.
Nice to show you teaching your son.
I appreciate the videos mr & mrs Wranglestar.
Keep at it, I wish you the best from a cold and rainy Sweden.
Some people will just never "get it"! It's about QUALITY MY FRIEND!
QUALITY IN TIME MANAGEMENT
QUALITY IN EQUIPMENT
QUALITY IN FAMILY TIME
QUALITY IN AND OF CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP
QUALITY IN YOUR DAILY WALK
Many of us watch and subscribe to Cody's channel because of these QUALITIES...the fact that he makes outstanding videos is a plus. I along with others am blessed on many levels just by watching his channel. Cody, you are an inspiration to so many of us! Don't stop my friend...ever! :)
What a great video!
And I loved the acoustic "My Immortal"!
Thanks for the inspiration! I look forward to pressing apples in TN in a few years.
Nice , when I was a little kid we all went to and old farmer we knew and picked the apples and made apple juice as you there , many , many gallons each year , a fun family time long ago.
I just love the athmosphere in your videos, there is something about it that makes me feel like home..
That looks incredible Cody (and Co.)! Quick question, what are you oiling the wood on the press with? Thanks in advance, Wayne
If I was on my own I would not be able to keep my temper in check. By His grace Christ lives in me and provides me the strength and patience to maintain an inner peace.
I'm with you William, I also got an old 1970 Sears garden tractor that was wasting away in someones back yard. The tecumseh on it has a cast iron block and is a strong motor. The old adage they don't make them like they used to is certainly with many things.
Jack is REALLY starting to look like Mrs. Wranglerstar! From the facial features right into that smile! You have a beautiful family Cody! God Bless!
Super great video. Thanks. Makes me think, "What have we become?" The smiles and obvious general happiness observed in the video sheds light on the shallowness of our society. Enough is never enough.
Seeing that little boy so happy and in such a positive work / learning environment makes me smile. You're doing a great thing 🙂
Lots of work to do...- but it is certainly a pleasure to press the apples with your own restorated press! Nice video, Mr Wranglerstar. Cheers!
One word said it Yum. The look on jacks face priceless. Thanks for sharing
You have been holding out on us good sir! That BSA work in progress motorcycle should be a top priority this winter and done with heavy video recording. Springtime will be coming soon and the greatest way to enjoy it is to ride a motorcycle restored over the winter! Gods speed and I look forward to whatever you video, I truly enjoy your channel!
what i like most about these videos is not their commercial worth but that your child will grow up knowing where his food comes from
If anyones thinking, i think the song is an acoustic version of my immortal by evanescence?
It is.
yes it is and it is played by sunga jung. he has a youtube channel
Thanks for the tip +firefighter#47 definitely going to check that channel out!
go for it! he is a fantastic guitar player
+The Only XzombizzX Hahaha I was thinking that too.
I love this video. I love the apple cider machine, I absolutely love the music in the background. And you all look so happy, a nice happy family :)
I love the sound of metal gears cranking against each other. Very cool sound.
Wow! You did such a great job of restoring the apple press. Makes me want to find and old one and rebuild one too now. :)
Evanescence acoustic? Very progressive music choice.
+Ty Summersett I'm not the only one then. i really like this version, i would like to know who played this because they're really good.
Love going back and look at your older videos
I'm with you William I see the old sear surburbans and customs all the time on Ebay and every once in a while on craigslist. I also like the old Cub cadets, Wheel horses, simplicities,Allis chalmers and bolens. Those were garden tractors.
I am just impressed at all the tools and equipment you have! I would love to have a set up like your place! Your a Blessed man!
Hi! just had to say I really enjoy your videos. And thank you for sharing them with us.... t was born in the city but got the pleasure of living the country(and loved it)but life goes on...I live in the city now and work restoring old cars by day and ride and paint motorcycles in my spare time (Nice BSA buy the way I love all old bikes I ride a 1999 Moto Guzzi Bassa).and find myself watching your videos as they come out. at night before bed.
Thanks again for sharing MadPainter69
As I scroll through your videos thinking, "what else can this guy do?" I see you press your own cider! Keep it up, love the lifestyle.
Hello; Cody & Family. So great to see the restored apple press put to use again,
memories they come flooding back! As always another great video you took the time to share with us. The 'ole-yeller jeep in the back-ground? Jack's 'lil Jitney in future ?? Cool !
Happy Trails From The Maritimes In Canada
" GOD BLESS ALL "
The pressing question at the end of the process is whether the apples are impressed, depressed, or suppressed at the end of the process.
Brings tears to my eyes. Such a beautiful family life.
know what i dont particularly like farming or relay anything your videos cover however every time i watch them they always bring a big smile to my face. god bless you and your family =)
I hope to be able to build one of these someday soon myself. After watching some of your first videos on the apple press, I have been looking at different ones on youtube. I have found that the one you have seems to be the best, all in one design. Great video :)
For me the best was the smile on cody's face, what great memories for the family.
Second was, the video was very informational, thank you
I never fail to be amazed by people that seem to feel the need to put down others. You have taken the time to put a wonderful video together, do you not get discouraged from continuing to make videos when there always seem to be people that have the need to put down all the good you are doing? How do you keep from getting so angry that you just give up? You seem to always keep your cool with your replies and turn the other cheek. I don't know how you can always do it, but its an excellent quality!
I have been watching your videos for a while, and just have to thank you. God Bless.
I've been watching many of your videos recently wranglestar, you and your wife look to be living the dream and giving your son a fantastic life, good job mate.
Jack missed an opportunity to use his signature line at the end of this video. "First taste of the year. Is this homeschooling?"
So what do you do with 50-65 gallons of apple cider? Can you sell it? Or barter/trade with it? Unpastuerized and open apple cider lasts about one or maybe two weeks, from what I have read. Or maybe there is a way to bottle it to keep it for longer. I'd be curious to find out what you did with it. Great video as always.
Your kids happy face made this video. You are a very lucky man. Cheers!
The process certainly makes one appreciate the product! Nice work Jack.
It doesn't get any better... Thanks Cody!
that kid has an awesome smile. looks just like his mother. you've done a fine job Mr.Wanglerstar 👍
Yes 1968 BSA 650 Thunderbolt
please don't stop . I watch your channel every day after work . its wholesome entertainment and I learn also.
My Wife's grandparents have an apple pressing party every year with all the family invited. They both turn 93 this year, and while I know they won't be here forever, it just won't feel like fall when they are gone. I guess it's up to the next generation to keep traditions alive,
That was the most Wholesome video I ever seen! Great channel!
Looks great, hoping to build one this summer in time for Apple season this year. Great job.
You are such a great father. I wish i had a father like you.
