  • From the VHS vault, back when Amtrak was testing the Danish-designed, German-built Flexliner train sets, they saw temporary service on the Hiawatha route between Chicago and Milwaukee. Here we see both train sets heading back north to Milwaukee at Rondout, Illinois in June of 1997.

The IC3's or Flexliner as you call them in the states are not German-built, they are Danish-designed and built at the ABB Factory in Randers.
