Amit ji you are covering all important points. I was working in private engg college as a lecturer. After 5 yrs of my service I got selected through MPSC exams, but my first posting was in remote area. That time my daughter was just 2 yrs old. She used to stay in babysitting for 8 hrs.My husband was in private job in Mumbai with atleast 15 days outdoor duty. I decided to leave govt job and continued my private job and took private tutions. It helped me in my financial growth. I had taken care of my daughter and my health very well. I took my daughter for all activities classes and competitive exams classes. I earned sufficient money and invested it properly in different plans and properties. I left my job at the age of 43yrs and started looking after my daughter. Now she has completed her engg degree from top rank college and got very good placement. As I was in private job,it was easy for me to quit at right time, when my family needed me. I shifted from Mumbai to Pune for my daughter. Now I can say that, don't run behind govt jobs. I am very happy with my daughter's progress which would have been very difficult in govt jobs due to every 3yrs transfer pattern.
I did the same thing ...due to this transfer policy our family got hampereda lot.....i also got selcted in mpsc but join private job...at start you will face criticism from relative and some family member because you worked so hard to get in the final list....but mother can face anything for their children 🙂

Some of your points are Good. But itni buri nahi hai sarkari Naukri. Sukoon kaha hai sir. 1. IT Jobs me? business me?. It's a state of mind. 2. 3 mahine pehle toh koi travel planning nahi kar sakta. /////// Some benefits that you missed:- 1. CGHS :- whole family is covered for unlimited amount. No need for admission, monthly medicine everything is covered. 2. Super brilliant NPS scheme. How many private employees save for there future in the manner which govt is doing for their employees. 3. LTC benefits 4. God forbid anything happens. Family pension for dependents. 5. Kitna bada sukoon hai ke naukri kahi nhi ja rhi. Covid aaye ya kuch aur aaye. Apne bahut underrated aaka stability ko. I have worked for 5 years in corporate job. But it was always at the back of my mind what if I loose my job, the company shuts down. Etc etc. 2008-09 me kitne log nikale gaye thee during recession. I was one of them. Everybody can't pursue their hobby as business.
You missed the point. It is for job from 2022 onwards. No pension now. Nps is also for corporate sector. Also a lot depends one s background. Advice was for kids of upper middle class and gp A equivalent. Others will always find value.
I am working in IT sector for last 8 years and I am sure your thinking about private job is not true. I have NPS, Free health insurance, life insurance, monthly car fuel benefits, restaurants benefits, self education plan, wfh for last 2 years, on time salary before last day, at office cafeteria, play area, internet plan etc.. I never worried about job, switched 5 times job for better company and never got fired by company so why to worry about job . Leave: 20 casual leave, 30 sick leave, paternity leave, emergency leave etc
Your comment says it all... If you were on one of those jobs you wouldn't have listed these things. Bahar se sab aise hi dikhte he. Those who are in, they know what's reality.

Bilkul sare points ekdam sach hai. 10 saal se bhugat rahi hu. Depression aur frustration ke siwa kuch nahi. Stagnation is real. Being underpaid is real. Aap performance de rahe ho, toh uske upar apko aur kaam he milta hai, na paisa milta hai, na promotion. Union ko maska maro, transfer ke liye. Aur union aise treat karega jaise crime kar liya. Sukoon koi nahi. Chuttiyan sirf paper pe hai. Aaj chutti grant ki, jane se do din pehle cancel karwa dete hai, kyunki audit aaya. Chutti dete bhi hai toh bina jhagde, rulaye dete nahin. Upar se aam logon ko aisa lagta hai ki koi kaam he nahi hai. Yahan humare sector me log on the job mar rahe hai. Govt jobs me staff shortage bohut zyada hai. Saturday, sunday sab kaam karna hota hai. Koi hobbies nahi, kuch nahi. Aur kehne me accha lagta nahi hai, har class ke log sarkari naukri karte hai. Toh unki mentality abhi bhi 1940-50s ki hai. Aap bade sheharon se hokar unke saath adjust nahi kar paoge. Bohut zyada judgemental hote hai. Kyunki inka jo background hai, inhone modern life dekhi nahi. Sheheron me bade huye logon ka adjust karna bohut mushkil hai. Slowly you will start losing yourself and become a zombie. And that point about ladies is absolutely true. Spouse ke saath posting lete lete he zindagi nikal jati hai. Apne career ke bare me kaise soche. Kyunki rural areas me baccho ko kaise bada karenge? Impossible. Promotion lenge toh aise jagaho me phekenge, jahan insan khud toh reh lega, not scared of that as a lady. What ladies are scared of, ki koi dhang ka school bhi nahi hai. Bacche kaha padhenge. Phas jaoge.

What you are saying is correct but the job situation has changed only in Technology sector. The engineers working in factory are not getting paid that much. Also those non technical people the job situation is still the same. So what you said about govt job is true but for private jobs it depends on which sector you are working.
Absolutely correct…..my friend has sharp mind worked with biggest private sector bank of india and dubai , now he switch to govt bank and doing avg job and he is afraid to ask for holidays . I will share with him for sure 👍👍

This biggest issue faced by a government/ public sector employee is because of his belief that he will retire comfortably from his job. This makes him complacent and his investment in self development diminishes. Coupled with security mindset provided by pension and suboptimal medical and other perks,he over the years becomes obsolete and frustrated. Over the years government jobs have become demanding, thanks to the current govt for tightening the screws. I find a very high incidence of depression amongst government officers and see several suicide cases too. In the private sector you understand the fragility of your job and hence are better prepared for any eventuality. I myself quit my public sector job after serving for 28 years and joined the private sector. In my experience it is any day better and fulfilling both professionally and economically. I fully agree with the contents of this video. Times are changing and they are changing fast. Only those will thrive ,who adapt.

After watching videos and comments, the best quote came in mind is "The Grass is greener at the other side". No one is happy with what he have . I work in MNC, and we have good salary and overseas opportunity but this is reducing day by day because every quarter organizations have to show profits. Another problem which I feel with private organizations, employee has to learn and study every time to be in industry, technology is changing very rapidly and it become difficult when you reach to your 45 age . Working 9-10 hours, self study and giving time to family is little hectic. In my personal opinion, I would say do a job which give you work life balance .
Elon musk ko dkhle he is working 15 16 hours waran buffet ko dkhle kis age m kitna kam kiya. Kaam hi nhi krna chate to mediocre hi reh jaoge soch hi garibo vali h to middle class m hi reh paoge puri life
If you think sarkari naukri me padhna nahi hota, you are wrong. Technology keeps changing. And employees need to training and re-training . We have to complete mandatory courses every year to keep up with industry demand. Otherwise they will stop the perks. In the end government also needs to make profits. Promotions aren't performance based but departmental exam based. And you got to really study for these exams. I am working till 5-6 pm, and after coming home I study till 10-11 pm.
Iam an SC from upper middle class. I used my reservation to join a PSU bank as a probationary officer. Infact, my parents used reservation to get govt. jobs and get rich in the first place. The mindset gap that I faced in UCO was too big a gap to be filled with the comfort of monthly salary. I could relate with everything you have said. I eventually left my job and opened a small AMC, where i manage other people's (15 people), for a commision. I am quite successful and in 2020, i paid more income tax than i got from the bank. Great video sir. I appreciate the brutual honesty, clairvoyance, and clarity of thought. Please keep posting. Regards.

Group B and C jobs are still better in govt sector when compared to private sector. But,Gp A jobs have equal advantages and disadvantages in govt sector.

Amit ji as far as leave is concerned specifically in CAPF. This is biggest problem. Though leave is granted but not as and when asked. And far flung postings adding woes to the problems.
Unfortunately, every point you told is right. This is the harsh reality of sarkari naukari. The salary is fixed and is low. My friends are earning way more than me and i regret joining a government job.
Low level jobs - govt jobs are far better Mid level jobs - govt job retirement ke baad acha hai. Puri naukri waali zindagi ghut ghut ke jiyoge. Higher level jobs - pvt far far better. Example govt teacher salary better than pvt.. private principal salary multiple times better than government.
Summary of points but Amit Sir's video must be watched to get the context. 1. Stability of job but not stability of Location 2. Government job respect and growth is shadowed by new age jobs. 3. Steady income but no side hustle is allowed and skills cannot be monetized. 4. Sifarish is getting stopped and due to technology jobs will only be a monitoring. 5. Shaadi market demand of gov job is reducing because ladies are not expected to work. 6. Stagnation is a commong scenario. Need to be aware of promotions and growth. 7. Sukoon is coming down in gov jobs.
Very rich analysis. I'm settled in Govt job but my friends who stayed in private are doing much better . That's why I'm now discouraging newcomers to fall for the dillusion of govt job !
Stagnation, opportunity loss and ultimately loss of appetite to work... But somehow reaching office, criticizing own work... is the govt job. Only advantage is that you will get an assured amount at the end of the month.
Completely agree....husband in government job first class gazetted officer but would not recommend anyone....my career sacrificed ...child suffered a loss due to stupid postings and schools 😭
I think this is the reason why Most of Government employees doesn't like Govt which demand performance and employees need to come out of their comfort zone.. We should support Government move here for better performance cum functioning of country which will surely ensure heathy democracy..
Sir, Things are now getting tougher for govt employees but huge pressure in pvt sector.Every thing has pros and cons..but its sure future of govt. employees is not bright and must acquire skills and ready for life challenges..thanks for ellobrating things so nicely.

So it's better to opt private than government job. Because every private employee need to learn to bear humiliation and they feel happy 😊 every time after humiliation.
Like all your other videos, this one is also, metro centric. Everybody can not afford to move to a city and buy a flate for inflated price. Crores of Indians living in small towns and rural areas. Govt job is the only way to survive. Business requires very high capital influx, which is impossible to earn from local business itself. Most of the businesses are run by seed capital investment from cities.

You are very right sir. I am a govt servant myself and 8 years down the line i feel many of your points are valid. On point abt the transfer scene and the stagnation
Regular postings are a real mess and the wife and kids are the sufferers....have experienced it first hand when my father used to get posting every 3 years...some more drawbacks 1. If you are part of joint family you get left out after some time as you are not physically present 2. Salary is low for Grp B and below compare to the amount of work one do 3. With more digitisation of work the importance of 50% department will go away in future, already we see that EPFO, Railways, RTO services are getting free from human interference....resulting in less bribe options
Whatever u told, every sentence is true Sir. I totally agree with u Sir, govt jobs have lost their sheen over the past few years. Holidays have decreased, new employees r being posted in far flung locations with no provision of quarters or accommodation. Increment is just peanuts, pension has been abolished, leave applications are online (often not approved bcoz of server failure), bad and incompetent bosses are ruining the career of young energetic employees. Only 10% employees are hardworking who r rewarded with more work and no promotion (bcoz seniority matters ). The enthusiasm of joining govt job vanishes within 2-3 years if u are not in a dept where bribery is prevalent. Anyways, Thank you for highlighting this dark aspect of govt jobs so that our youth doesn't waste crucial years of their life for this 🙏🙏🙏
true Sir, what you said is true. Parents always advise their kids based on their knowledge level. That's why we see professionals kids becoming doctors and engineers . They just think in terms of safety and stability which is why our country is stagnant. We are only thinking in terms of security. We need to change our way of thinking to achieve greatness.

Bilkul sare points ekdam sach hai. 10 saal se bhugat rahi hu. Depression aur frustration ke siwa kuch nahi. Stagnation is real. Being underpaid is real. Aap performance de rahe ho, toh uske upar apko aur kaam he milta hai, na paisa milta hai, na promotion. Union ko maska maro, transfer ke liye. Aur union aise treat karega jaise crime kar liya. Sukoon koi nahi. Chuttiyan sirf paper pe hai. Aaj chutti grant ki, jane se do din pehle cancel karwa dete hai, kyunki audit aaya. Chutti dete bhi hai toh bina jhagde, rulaye dete nahin. Upar se aam logon ko aisa lagta hai ki koi kaam he nahi hai. Yahan humare sector me log on the job mar rahe hai. Govt jobs me staff shortage bohut zyada hai. Saturday, sunday sab kaam karna hota hai. Koi hobbies nahi, kuch nahi. Aur kehne me accha lagta nahi hai, har class ke log sarkari naukri karte hai. Toh unki mentality abhi bhi 1940-50s ki hai. Aap bade sheharon se hokar unke saath adjust nahi kar paoge. Bohut zyada judgemental hote hai. Kyunki inka jo background hai, inhone modern life dekhi nahi. Sheheron me bade huye logon ka adjust karna bohut mushkil hai. Slowly you will start losing yourself and become a zombie.
And that point about ladies is absolutely true. Spouse ke saath posting lete lete he zindagi nikal jati hai. Apne career ke bare me kaise soche. Kyunki rural areas me baccho ko kaise bada karenge? Impossible. Promotion lenge toh aise jagaho me phekenge, jahan insan khud toh reh lega, not scared of that as a lady. What ladies are scared of, ki koi dhang ka school bhi nahi hai. Bacche kaha padhenge. Phas jaoge.

We have to complete mandatory courses every year to keep up with industry demand. Otherwise they will stop the perks. In the end government also needs to make profits.
That is missing in our society.
Many things may be true but POST COVID, the appeal for Sarkari Naukari has increased manifold.
Private Jobs acted as the 'rodents of the Sinking Ship ' during Covid time.
All were dismissed from their Job.
