    I wanna go to Walt Disney World someday for a full-blown vacation! I'll tackle all 4 parks, one of the water parks, and then DIsney Springs! It'll be a blast! I'm saving up my allowance because of that. ;)

    Orlando International Airport is the same airport where you'll take the Disney Cruise Line bus to Port Canaveral.

    They’ve not only sent out Magic Bands through the mail, but they’ve also sent out the luggage tags with the characters from the contemporary Mickey Mouse cartoon series on them.

      Awesome! But those reading this from overseas DME only sends out Magic Bands to those within the United States, people internationally will pick up their Magic Bands the day of arrival at their Disney hotel. Just in case people didn't know.

    Love this video. Last time we went MCO was remodeling stuff. Has there been any change to the Magical Express location?

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing  5 років тому +1

      Not that I'm aware of. It seems to be the same setup. Most of the updates to MCO didn't effect that area. I have not heard or read or seen any movement of DME. I would think Disney would upgrade that corner into a more "magical" upgrade... unless they plan on moving their airport base into another location in the future.

      @@MrDizneyKing is the Transportation between the airport and resorts free how about our bags do they transfer to the busses or do we have to get them at the Baggage Claim

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing  5 років тому

      Only with a Disney Travel package booked through Walt Disney World, either booked by you through their website or through a travel agent. If you show up and want to use Disney's Magical Express to get to the Disney resorts and you don't have a reservation then you must pay to use them, if seats are available. If you have a room only reservation at the resort then Disney's Magical Express is FREE and included, but you MUST add it on either by your My Disney Experience profile or by calling Disney travel company.

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing  5 років тому

      Disney's Magical Express, if added onto your Disney travel package in the appropriate amount of time, will pick up your CHECKED bags from Baggage Claim. Your Carry ons you bring with you to Disney's Magical Express. If you booked DME in enough time before your 30 day final payment travel package then DME will have sent you yellow tags for each member of your family. You'll also need to contact DME ahead of time if you have 2 or more suitcases per person that you plan on checking in at the airport. DME will only send you one tag per person for a single checked bag per person.
      If you arrive at the airport and have not booked a reservation for DME then you'll have to grab your own bags from Baggage Claim, even if you plan on walking up to the DME desk to see if they can accomidate you.

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing  5 років тому

      Your CHECKED bags that Disney Magical Express will pick up marked with the yellow tags will be taken on a different truck and arrive later at your Disney resort and be left in your room, after you've checked in. You don't have to be in your room when your luggage arrives. You can check in to your Disney resort, drop off your carry on bags, unpack and then head out to the parks. When you come back later in the day your luggage should be in your room by then. It only takes a few hours after you've landed for your luggage to arrive and placed in your room/s.

    Disney's Magical Express drivers should buy MCI's and Prevost H3-45's because they got way too many Vanhools.

    I’m coming from Australia in October and staying at pop - will I get magic bands or luggage tag sent? If I don’t get anything sent, I assume I pick up my luggage and just head to the express gates and tell them I’m staying at pop?

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing  6 років тому +3

      Typically out of the country guests traveling into Walt Disney World will not get luggage tags and/or magic bands. Their magic bands will be waiting for you at Pop Century front desk when you check in. The cost to ship them overseas and them getting there in time doesn't work for Disney at the moment. As for luggage tags, they are only sent to the United States and Canada.
      International guests must claim their luggage from U.S. Customs & Border Protection. Once that process is done you do have the option of putting your luggage back on the carousel for Disney Magical Express to get but you will still not have the yellow luggage tags to put on your bags for Disney Magical Express to scan. IF you want to leave your luggage back on the carousel for Disney Magical Express to claim you'll then need to follow several steps.
      You'll have to present your baggage claim ticket to the Disney Magical Express people at the check in station, the same station that assigns guests to the resort buses. You'll just need your reservation number and the baggage claim ticket with you when you reach the check in station to basically get all checked in. They will understand and expect you not to have your magic bands yet.
      But It just seems easier to grab your luggage from customs and then bring it along with you to the resort. The Disney Magical Express team will load all your carry on and checked luggage underneath the resort bus and bring it with you to your Disney resort.
      Once there at the resort with your luggage that you ended up bringing with you, depending if your room is ready, you can have luggage service at the hotel hold your luggage until your room is ready. Now if you've planned to just immediately start doing all things Disney, you've already gotten your magic bands from the front desk but your room still isn't ready, then just leave your bags with the luggage service at your resort. You can then head straight to the parks and/or Disney Springs to start shopping, dining, etc. When your room is ready Disney can then take your luggage to your room when it becomes ready OR when you get back to your room you can call for luggage service to bring you your bags to your room.
      I've personally had to do the baggage claim ticket once (because they never arrived in the mail or was lost) but the only idea of no yellow tags made me very uneasy about it all. Despite them telling me they've gotten bags daily and "never lose a bag"... I still didn't trust the system and feared my luggage getting lost in the mix because it didn't have the bright yellow Disney Magical Express tag on it. I did get my bag as they said I would but my anxiety was all over the place waiting and hoping my bag arrived to my room. My advice, for out of the country guests, once you have your luggage, bring it with you to Disney Magical Express check in. Disney will still take care of you all the way to you resort.

      The other big question is when are you arriving at the MCO airport? If you arrive between 10pm to 5am you'll HAVE to bring your checked luggage with you. Disney Magical Express does have a cut off time frame of when they pick up luggage.

    • @krisjohns1864
      @krisjohns1864 6 років тому

      MrDizneyKing hi! Thank you so so much for the in depth answer and providing options and pros and cons of each. I will most likely just get my baggage myself from baggage claim and head over to the magical express and have them put the luggage on the bus on the way to pop. I get to Orlando airport at 4:30pm so will check in and I’m sure the room will be ready. I want to go to Disney springs the first afternoon/night there as not to waste a ticket on a few hours at a park :)
      Would you have any suggestion on where to go to get groceries? I want to get some water, fruit and snacks - something like Walmart or similar that I can catch an Uber to from the hotel and back?

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing  6 років тому +1

      Once you get to your resort you can book an Uber to the closest Walmart down the street. It's about 20 minutes or less away. The UberX will cost you about $16 average each way, unless you use a free ride one of the ways with a discount code then you're only out $16 bucks one way which averages the cost to ship groceries to your hotel via a grocery service in the area. It's probably less stressful and much cheaper to get that Uber to Walmart to grab drinks, snacks and food.
      I would also suggest if you are heading to Walmart, bring large sturdy bags to bring everything back. If you're bringing back drinks, might want to bring your carry on luggage that hopefully has wheels to help transport bottles of water and bottles. Just be mindful how big the fridge is in your room and what you can put in it. There is no freezer option in the new fridges.
      The Walmart address you can google maps is 3250 Vineland Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746

    Tell me: is Disney’s Magical Express still in operation at Orlando International Airport to this very day?

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing  6 років тому

      Yes. It is a service the Walt Disney World resort has zero plans on eliminating or removing at any time soon. It is here to say and as important as the door to your hotel room. It's always going to be there. The only concern is it complimentary when you book a Disney resort hotel room and/or package, it can always shift to a chargable add on service in the far future if Disney really felt it need to change that service up.
