That One Medical building used to be a bank back in the day. Damn.
@@sfmunioperations It was United California Bank during the 60's and 70's. Then it was a medical office and a clothing store. It was vacant for a long time. Damn I'm old lol.
@@sfmunioperations Yep. And that was before they redid the tunnel entrance to West Portal. That happened around 1978 or 1979 when they were getting ready to open the subway under Market. There's a lot of videos here on YT showing how everything looked before 1980-82 when the subway went 7 days a week on all 5 lines.
@@janettemcclelland2959 yep, I still wish to see streetcars going into the tunnel but impossible nowadays lol
Out of curiosity, anybody know why it seems to be policy for trains to signal left going out of the station, even though they're in fact going straight? (I know when the L trains are running they turn right, but I'd still think not signaling would be sufficient for straight-through traffic.)
I think the reason for that is because muni is still using an old signal system, where it only consists of Left and Right
@@sfmunioperations As in, turn indicators work the switches? That could be!
I don’t come to this area very often but I do miss watching the L trains make their turns
