The first time I heard this, I thought it was great. Second time, I could see some of the imperfections. But it was still a good performance and not deserving of that mauling, IMO. Or maybe it was just her reaction that made the criticisms seem harsher than they were. Crystal, Shioban, and Didi, all great! Guys are a little weaker, but the top 3 guys would be Mike, Lee (needs confidence), and Casey (needs emotion). Hope all 6 pull through.
I really liked this performance... its not like she would be singing this on like a tour, she was trying to show the judges she can do a variety of things.
lol, she actually looked up indulgent...she's so honest, i love her. I will be going to knoxville for gradschool in fall, it's nice to have a good impression about the city before hand because of her=)
Let's just say it wasn't a great song choice, but she wasn't all over the place for goodness sakes. She sang the song AT LEAST, well. I don't know about the judges' comments, they were like pulling her down, it was too harsh. Maybe they weren't listening to the song at all and was pre-brainwashed to what they will say. I hope Didi can make it far. I really love her.
I don't even know how she made it this far. She isn't a "natural" -- she has tried to teach herself to sing, with an odd falsetto thing, that might strike a person as unusual when they first hear it, but a little of it goes a long way. An entire cd of this would be torture.
I loved Didi'd rendition of Lean on Me which is one of the best & most uplifting songs ever written. Those judges can be crueler than they should be. I love "Lovely Day" but Ellen what a bad suggestion. It's not the most vocally complicated song to sing.
you know whats wrong about what simon said? it's simply non-constructive. it's just hurtful. I really don't know why he would say that bull about how she wasted an oportunity to such a sweet girl. Kind of like how kanye west interrupted taylor swift's speech . I second your BOOOOOO to simon.

At the end, Ryan asks her if she can "make something positive" out of this and it is plain to see she is considering whether or not she should let loose another one of her crying jags. Thank goodness she's gone.
She probably thought she did really well, especially with the crowd reaction, and then she gets slammed by the judges. She looked confused and frustrated. Her voice is so unique that it doesn't matter what song she sings, her voice stands out. She doesn't have a R&B type of voice, but, I thought she did okay and it was different. I don't know why Kara said that it wasn't good. It was at least an okay performance.
i hate that they did not gave her any chance just because of 1 mistake.. I still have no idea why the judges absolutely hated this performance. Were they watching the same one the rest of us were? Because that was awesome.
They were a little to tough on her... It wasn't my favorite of hers either.. But I think the judges were just a tad to harsh on her.
