It was really nice to watch Twilight's relationship with Spike evolve from him being her own personal book slave in episode 1 to best friend and son in owls well that ends well than finally her little brother in Sparkle's 7.

1:05 I was always under the impression Twilight was a mother figure to Spike, but then there was the episode that basically confirmed they're supposed to be like siblings to each other instead but, I don't know, maybe that's just cuz their ages are close so they portray the characters as adoptive siblings to each other instead of mother and son, but, still kinda portray them as mother and son? Twilight got her cutie mark when she hatched Spike and I think she's been raising him since, so I prefer mom and son.
