I heard Conan being interviewed on Michelle Obama’s podcast, and he said he spent like 20 minutes straight just talking to her and not being funny or anything, just chatting with her about her life and stuff. I was thinking it was kind of a bit they were doing like showing her all super into watching him cut the chair and then pans to him like no this is stupid. But of course conan picked her to be the one standing next to him.
His writers and wife talked about it on an episode of "Inside Conan." This remote was shot on a show day so they had to do the remote, prep for the show, and do the show on the same day. And whenever that happens, Conan's usually miserable and wants to get the remote done ASAP and get back to the studio. Here, they could not get him to leave. They had to keep reminding him it was a show day and he needed to just get Liza's number. So yeah they knew they were witnessing something special.

I am 100% sure the whole shows office was probably DYING from the gossip that Conan has a crush on a woman at "that ad firm for the sketch". It was probably the hottest topic for some time. Considering how cameraman SPECIFICALLY stops at Liza and the face Conan gives afterwards - they were for sure teasing him for the longest time

He often make those kind of jokes later on in his career. In his early years he seem shy, probably to secure a wife first jk
I immediately noticed that. I was waiting for him to do say something to her but he was a pro. Maybe when he met her before they filmed everything he felt some kind of connection with her.
I think a big part of that reason is he was still young at this point

The way Liza looks at Conan and how Conan try not to look at Liza is like a start of a chickflick movie
You could definitely feel the fact that there was something special going on in here. Conan in every remote without a doubt plays the part of trying to seduce beautiful women and failing miserably at it which he certainly didn't do here (I am certain of this because Lisa was so gorgeous in here and Conan just didn't try to make a stupid pass at her). He was rather suspiciously quiet where you can sense that he wanted to make a very good first impression. He was professional and kept his jokes civil. If this ain't the after effects of LOVE I don't know what else is.........LOVE COCO

@@phil_alexdunphy4735 You can search for it here at UA-cam. there's a video (I think there's 2 of it, a part 1 and 2) about it.
But basicallu it goes, Jay Leno was suppose to "give the torch" to Conan, basically means Leno is retiring and Conan takes over. But then Leno sorta changed his mind and wants the tonight show back. NBC gives it to him and you can see now that Conan got screwed over. Dont remember the complete story but some time after, Conan I think was banned for a year to host and after all that he eventually gets an offer from TBS. And the rest is history.
Not to sure how accurate the latter part of my story is but it should go something like that.
