I like how even Squidward mentioned how messed up and greedy it was to sell SpongeBob, who stuck up for Krabs against the literal Dutchman ghost so he wouldn't have his soul taken, and he sold out someone who was that loyal for 62 cents.
Yeah I agree with Squidward a lot of the time and this last one was no different, I'd be pissed to see someone do something like that even to someone I find annoying.
One of the things that made Squidward such a fun character in the first 3 seasons is that, even though he was a huge groutch and had an ego problem, he had *integrity* .
Him sticking up for Spongebob and showing concern for him, on multiple occasions, was great to see and added so much more to his character, despite his apparent dislike for him.
honestly relate to and understand both Squidward and SpongeBob. They are both two sides to the same coin. Optimism vs Pessimism. Irrational vs rational. Fun vs bored. Or even just Happy vs Depressed. As much as they get on each others nerves, they still share a connection and rely on each other. Squidward even misses him in the Squidville episode. It’s kinda like a sibling dynamic, they annoy you to pieces but you still care about them anyway.

@MrGul-kc4ry so true. People be acting like season 4 and onwards are just absolutely terrible and unbearable to watch when they're not. I watched a lot of the newer seasons and I'm still enjoying them. Not as much as the old ones but they're still good.
As a kid SpongeBob was my favorite character but now looking back as an adult Squidward has definitely moved to being my number one. He's too relatable.

OMG you reacted to my video! I'm, like, shook. I know the video isn't exactly the best quality but I was just trying to make a small Squidward appreciation video and didn't expect it to get as popular as it did, but since now it has over 3 million views I'm glad it's giving people a good laugh at least.

Squidward was actually my favorite character in the show as a kid, funnily enough! He was even one of my first cartoon crushes! And I hated SpongeBob because he was always making Squid unhappy 😂. Sad to report, I find cynical, dry humor just as attractive as an adult as when I was little... 😅
