I am so disappointed in the amount of stigma being perpetuated in this video. The language aside, why would you make it a point to make your students fearful of those experiencing a mental illness. What kind of psychologist and mental health professionals are we bringing into the world if we’re setting them up to think “these people are dangerous,” when in fact people who experience mental illness are much more likely to be the victim of violence than the perpetrator.
Dr. Freddy, I admire you as a professor and I love your lectures!! The lectures are VERY helpful for students!!! The only thing was not good as the political bias when you mentioned Trump. You do great job related to your teaching. Please don’t say about presidents because many students, like me for example, like Trump as a business man.
You lost me once you got to the political stuff. Whatever your feelings are about Donald Trump shouldn't be brought up in a lecture. Did you actually sit down and diagnose him? Just because you don't agree does not mean you are qualified to say those things about him. You also said you did not sit down with Richard Ramirez so how can you personally label either one with a disorder? Very unprofessional as a professor and I hope you aren't talking like this in your classes.
