we think in our langauge and also english. depends on what you thinking about.
People think in the language they are most comfortable with or use frequently. For example, if someone speaks English fluently, their internal thoughts are likely in English. Cphiwe people think in they use predominately. As for me, I grew up in rural EC(I thought in Xhosa) until my teenage years. I moved to PTA and struggled to speak because I had to translate to English first(in my head) and then answer questions. The first time I realized I thought I was English was when I dreamt in English and woke up in shock because my childhood friend(who did not go to school) spoke to me in English. I was shocked and woke up immediately.

When I think I think in Shona, then I don’t understand it then I think in Zulu, still wouldn’t understand it then in Pedi still I would have difficulties understanding it then it’s English then I understand it. That’s why my doctor advised me not to think at all ☹️😐

Sphiwe is right lol subconsciously we do think in English everything we do now is in English besides speaking to people at home maybe but TV, Radio, Internet, Newspaper/Magazines, Social media are all in English the problem is some people actually don't realize they do think in English and it may be not all the time but most of the time
