Oh, The Enchanted World! You know, I love this series of books because it transports us to the world of fantasy, of the paranormal-everything that the human mind is capable of creating, of dreaming in those worlds where only imagination is your limit.
This book, in particular, begins as a kind of mythology of the different peoples of the world-either to explain phenomena that were beyond their understanding or to embody noble feelings, as well as the darkness that lies in the human mind. It's a world where powerful emotions like love, passion, and epic battles between good and evil are present. In some way, we all want to immerse ourselves in that magic, in that which lives powerfully in our dreams and imagination.
I really like these illustrations. They encompass different styles, yet all converge in the vision of a fantastic world, full of mysteries and magic.

Love that you're continuing these, love fairy tale/fantasy/myth/legend type things (like The Silmarillion, Children of Húrin, the Kalevala, Till We Have Faces, The Day Boy and the Night Girl, The Golden Key, At the Back of the North Wind, etc). Love the artwork too, very colorful and detailed, or more moody and subdued.
Side note: maybe not related, but if you like that Renaissance remninscent/referential art style but combined with Monty Python type humor I recommend the game Four Last Things, absolutely HILARIOUS😅
Love Studio Ghibli and Makoto Shinkai films a lot too, not just for great emotive/creative storytelling that chimes with my INFP personality, but also their immersive art too.
