I don't want to be a monolingual American. If I wasn't crippled I would become a monk in Thailand. I have seen enough of the grotesque American Culture to know the way. I used to be really sick. I practiced Silat, Escrima, Taiji, Bagua and Xingyi. I want to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is healthy to practice movement. I have seen a lot of people freeze up in wheelchairs and not move and die.
Greetings. How do monastics implement these beautiful teachings? Do they go out into the community, or do only the lay people who go to the monasteries receive these insights and blessings ? Thank you
