I come back to watch this in 2024. To be honest,aside from that two major jumping mistakes,I don’t think Mao did really terribly in her 2014 og short.She still nailed her program with incredible speed, spins,steps and artistry.However, it is just sad to know that such an amazing skater like Mao miss her last chance to achieve the super slam due to this flawed performance.
Thanks for posting this video. Although Mao had the worst SP at the Olympics, I still love this video bc I can visualize how she covers the ice and how smoothly she skates.
The speed is so fast that the link looks small. You could tell from the screaming and warm applause when she fell over that many in the audience were encouraging her. The spins and steps were good, but the jumps only landed on the ice for the 3F. Too bad. Thanks for uploading this video!!
ノクターンはオリンピックには不足。選曲ミス。エキシビジョンで踊る曲だと思いますけどねえ。。 her short program music was not good enough for Olympic , I guess. This music is beautiful and nice to look at her at Exhibition. She is a first beautiful skater ever in Japanese history.
