I followed your advice and all I found was a very small piece of cypress droppings. Removed it and put the unit back together and it works. I couldnt imagine that small of debris caused the failure. Thanks!
Great video. When mine is in the water I can hear grinding noises like the gears are not engaging. Any good resources for replacement gears? The fit is sloppy and has a lot of play, hence the gears wearing out quickly. Thanks
I found out that this was my issue too. The front wheels are the same on both sides, but only one front wheel is driven internally by the motor itself. I switched the two wheels around and that ended up doing the trick. Disassembly and reassembly weren’t too bad, all things considered. I just made this switch so I don’t have any data of how this solution holds up long term, but when testing it out I didn’t hear any of the slop or grinding I was hearing before. My hypothesis is that the inside of the one wheel just kept getting beat up by the drive gear over the years to where the tolerances were no longer tight enough for the two gears to stay attached to one another.
@@26Nick Cool thanks I will check it out and do the swap. I have 3D printed one of the gears and it worked great, but now it seems to be a different one.
I've removed all debris as initially indicated but still remains the same, moves forward for a few seconds then backwards and stops. So what was the trick? 1) Put the vacuum upside down, let it run then put in pool without filter. 2) when step one doesn't do suction side walls, take it out while running. 3) turn off, place filter inside, then wait to see if it works? Is that the trick?
I didn’t find anything in or around the fan. I just ordered a new blue cord and new console and a new console cord and I still can’t get it to work 😣 thank you for making these videos 😊
