This kid works his ass off, that's the only way you take such a huge leap in such a small amount of time. I mean he kicked his game into another gear by mid-season. I just hope the Knicks are smart and realize they have 3 potential all stars to build around in Barret, Toppin and Quickley. RJ is becoming a walking bucket but he's also a stifling defender. He's got the potential to be an all time great if he keeps it up.

It's the right cause though, Thibs gave the young guys a lot more time to shine and it made them better, plus they get to add another good pick next draft. Knicks are trying to build from scratch, and it's the right choice to make
Idk about so bad.. they just couldn’t finish and keep there lead… if u look at literally almost all there games they had not just leads but big leads and they got off to an amazing start but idk what happened .. maybe cause they are just very young but they could not keep there leads or what they did in first half of games
Not gonna lie I wasn't the biggest fan of RJ game coming out of Duke...thought he played bully ball a little too much and his shot selection was terrible. But he's really come a long way. Credit to him for continue to work on his craft...he will be an all star within the next few seasons!

@@grandpa203 only thing he has improved is corner 3s, FT%(still terrible for a guard). His draft weaknesses are still a problem. I think due to lack of athleticism. He’s awful when a team has a shot blocking Center

I tried to watch the whole thing...but no mid range or defensive highlights. That means mid level IQ. To excel at this level you have to completely own the game in all aspects. It's a rare thing, will his floor is Richard Jefferson his ceiling could be Jimmy Butler or Jaylen Brown.

RJ is definitely made for N.Y. needs to work on his free throws but he has the hard nose demeanor for MSG. DO not trade our young core they need next year to grow thibs has to let the kids develop to see what we have he wasted a year on veterans that are over their prime give these kids a chance. We waited so long for a winner 1 more year is nothing to the fans as long as they see their draft picks blossoming. We went the star route a number of times it didn't work so if the coach is on board fine if not get rid of him were paying 6 coaches anyway until you get one that develops young talent.
He needs to learn everything.. how not to get block how not to go left all the time and how not to create turnovers especialy on fast breaks

He's good and he's our pick he will get better it's in his make-up and N.Y. isn't to big for him that's important just look at randle great gofts no head that happens alot to players. Free throws are very important for Rj and Robinson and sims .
@@anthonyinfuso7049 I hear you but at the end of the day it's all about talent and his skill and talent level hasn't change since college. It's the same moves the same left handed drives and when he can't go left pulls up for a shot and or make a weak right handed layup that's gets block very easy and shouldn't with this height but he isn't athletic crafty and or has speed so he will never succeed like Luka despite his slow step he's crafty which creates space. Rj doesn't have that.
