Sorry to break it to you, but we have no chance of awoiding 1.5°C. You only think so becouse the recent IPCC reports use a different baseline then they did at the beginning. Would you use the 1750 data, which actualy should be used, you come up with a very different result. The world is already at 1.44°C above 1750 levels. We will highly likely reach 2 in less 2 years. But it doest matter anyway. We already triggered some heavy feedback loops that we cant stop anymore. We will go extinct in a not so distant future and there is really not much we can do about it. Our civilisation has so much enertia that even if we stomp on the breaks right now, we would still run over the cliff with full speed. I am telling you as a biologist: there is no large species that ever survived a terestrial mass extinction event. Let alone a species that is so high on the food chain as we are. We have absolutely no way of defending ourselves aginst all the ancient desiese that are thouing up in the tundra right now. Economic colapse will hit us before the climate will and that will make it even worse. Imagine how many people wont show up to work if there is no pay. And now imagine that al the worksers of our 492 nuclear plants around the planet dont show up to work. Prepare people. Itrs not going to look nice, I asure you!
