    I love this poncho pattern. I downsized the pattern and made a poncho for my daughter's 18" doll. It was quick and easy. My daughter now wants one for herself!

    I made this for my sister in law for a stay in the hospital it's her little bed jacket to help keep her warm that keeps her warm and doesn't get in the way of her IV . she loves it. Thank you for this great video. Now I'm making one for my granddaughter who saw it and must have one.

      +Judith Chemotti Eliana Miller here, I've been knitting items of all sorts & types of things & clothes all typed for those in need, anybody & all ages just giving to them & taking to hospitals for the newborn babies, & newborn preemies, children & all age adults to SHOW LETTING THEM KNOW they are thought of by people that they don't know & cares. Also wants the babies mommies something very pretty pampering mommies . Earlier today I told my friend who asked if I will teach her to knit & crochet so she can help me get my list of the all to does made & I am a new 8 mos. New crocheter & told her I' will be making bed-jackets to the maternity wards & I know your message is old & I saw this 'capelet' months ago not saw called as a poncho until recently as not traditional ponchos. Just now when reading you did as a bed-jacket I had shown her the picture I said this will be 1 style as a bed-jacket & loved the idea. Now I read you made as that & I then realized is perfect when Nurse takes babies to mommies to nurse. PERFECT! THANKS FOR & HOPE SHE FULLY RECOVERED & BACK OME & SURE SHE'S ALWAYS WILL BE USING BED-JACKET!

    I so enjoyed doing this and then I got this crazy idea to take your poncho and make a sweater which I absolutely love. This is the sweater type I've looked for everywhere and now I can make it in any color. It is your poncho made into a sweater with bat wings....I could also make this into a dress.

    Yes if you need to add extra you will do the following (depending on how many rows you want/need)
    increase row
    none increase
    none increase
    increase row
    none increase
    none increase
    etc
    Hope this helps

    Hi there, if you are talking about the method I use i would way not if you are using a large hook to give you big loose stitches but if you are using tighter stitches then I think that would work

  • @CrochetwithClare
    @CrochetwithClare  11 років тому

    hi, I think that maybe you could make the cowl section and then when you get the poncho section, insead of joining each row, you can turn and go back the other way and do that for each row that was you will have a split :)

    This pattern will be my first attempt at a poncho. I'm toying with the idea of making the cowl wider so it can be pulled up as a hood for my nieces. I'm not yet sure how that will work out with the drawstring. Hopefully I can figure it out and I'll post a picture of the finished product. I'm so excited!!!
